Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Southport

Wow what a location! We had a lovey time at your place Tony. Being in the house felt like you were out bush but with all the comforts. Some of the best views from a house I’ve experienced. Sutton Lodge is a beautiful, quaint and tranquil property in walking distance to the Curtis Falls walking trail. About a kilometre and a half on from the start of the Curtis Falls is the Gallery Walk where there are eateries, beautiful craft shops and other retail stores of clothes, chocolate, gelato and unique gifts. It's a beautiful area. The hosts were very attentive and checked in to see if everything was fine and encouraged us to reach out if needed. They were happy to provide recommendations for restaurants etc. The house was very well maintained, the kitchen was well provisioned with various condiments and cooking items; the bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and welcoming. The back deck was gorgeous and well used and there were different aspects on the property to cater for different times of the year. Instructions were simple to follow. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will mark it as preferred accommodation when next visiting Mt Tambourine. Highly recommend!

From the booking process to the check out - David makes things so simple and is super helpful. And then there is the house which quickly felt homely and comfortable. It is exactly what it looks like and feels like in the photos. The deck facing the canal (with the city scape in sight too) is breezy and big with great outdoor eating and some chill out seats where we spent most of our time when we weren’t in the pool or enjoying the air conditioning inside the large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining that became the centre of our stay. With three generations, the house catered to all that we needed and spending Xmas there and my birthday was extra special. A place to do as little or as much as you like, a place for reflection or a quiet glass of wine - or family fun in the pool. Amazing. So close (3 min drive) to Pacific Fair and other shopping amenities and close to Broadbeach and Surfers Paradise. We would definitely stay here again and probably will. Thanks David and Camille!

We really enjoyed our stay at Matt’s. Matt was responsive and helpful before and after our stay. The house was spacious and looked just like the photos. The kitchen was well provisioned and we enjoyed cooking each night. The kids loved the use of the SUP’s and kayaks on the canal. Would stay again.

Zoe has been very responsive and helpful every step of the way. The cottage is very comfortable and as picutred.

The Edges location was something else with the cascading stream hugging the property only to then plummet off the escarpment right in its back yard. Great big rooms with quality ensuites and fittings. Views of the valley stretching out below toward the sea. Brilliant!

Home away from home, this house was amazing and as described peaceful and very family friendly. Chickens and fresh eggs, koalas lizards and more the sounds of nature all around. Was a very relaxing and calm family holiday home. The live in owners are welcoming but they also give you all of the space you desire you don't even know they are there will definitely stay again.

My family loved staying at Barry's place. The house is gorgeous with all little touches thought of. We had everything we needed, including board games and lovely little blankets to wrap around ourselves while we sat outside and watched the birds. The beds were super comfortable and there were extra pillows, blankets if needed. The space is very clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. Our family of 4 loved everything here. We would definitely stay here again.

If you get the chance to spend time here do it. This is a really special place. The home is super stylish and comfortable and the location is absolutely amazing. Calm and peaceful yet close to so much. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Steven is very easy to communicate with.

We had an amazing stay! Yogi, the host, was fantastic and incredibly responsive. He accommodated an early check-in for us, which was such a relief after a long drive. The apartment itself is stunning, with unimpeded views of the ocean that were absolutely breathtaking. The location is unbeatable—just a short stroll from the main Surfers Paradise strip, making it convenient yet far enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The apartment offers a great range of amenities, and the check-in process was seamless and hassle-free. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Surfers Paradise. This apartment was a great stay. Even though the hotel itself is a little dated the apartment is far from that. Very nicely renovated and is such a convenient location if wanting to embrace the full Gold Coast experience

A perfect spot when you are visiting surfers paradise. Walking distance to everything. Gym in the building. Nice pools and Coles on the ground level. A perfect place for a family of 4.

This was a great affordable place for a family to stay and explore the Gold Coast. Everything is 20-30 minutes away, which is fine. We would go out exploring all day or to the Theme Parks and come back for a peaceful quiet swim and relax afterwards. It was great to be able to prepare our own food.

very clean and fresh inside out. close to everything but in a quite street with all the amenities you need. kids loved going to budds beach which is 50meters away! absolutely worth it. 5 stars.

We had a lovely stay. Very much enjoyed the tranquility and stunning view that is even better in real life. Hosts very friendly. The place was pristine and of high quality. Keep in mind only kitchen sink aside from bathroom is outside near spa. Keep lights low at night in warmer months otherwise so many flying bugs take over outdoors 😅 stunning spot and hope to stay again.

Our stay here was perfect. The villa was a great size in a tranquil location. Paddy was lovely and our interactions were very easy. The location is great, walking distance to all the shops and cafes on Gallery Walk. Would definitely recommend this stay.
