Top things to do in Broadbeach

Kurrawa Beach

With its golden sand and clear waters Kurrawa Beach is one of the Gold Coast’s finest beaches. It’s also known for being one of its safest, with calmer waters than others on the coast, which are patrolled every day by lifeguards. The beach is overlooked by numerous shops and cafes, and a children’s playground. If you’re feeling active you can try kitesurfing or play beach volleyball, and Kurrawa also offers great surfing conditions.

Cascade Gardens

Cascade Gardens is one of the Gold Coast’s most favoured picnic and barbecue spots. Located by the river, it offers a peaceful and scenic sanctuary, with a large playground for children to enjoy. The gardens also feature serene rainforest walks, including the Kokoda Memorial Walk. The Kokoda Memorial was created to honor the soldiers who fought on the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea during World War II.

The Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets

Discover the Broadbeach Art and Craft Markets in Kurrawa Park on the first and third Sunday of every month. The location is spectacular right on the beachfront in Broadbeach, with more than 150 market stalls selling handmade fashion and jewellery, homewares, skincare, toys, fresh produce, cakes and treats, as well as unique gifts and souvenirs you probably won’t find in typical retail shops.
