Monthly Rentals in South Venice

Any question I had Tom responded within minutes. The house was very clean and clutter free which is what I look for. Additionally, I liked having good plastic hanger (not a bunch of crappy wire ones lol) & a hamper for dirty clothes (a simple item to have so you don’t have dirty clothes all over the floor.) We brought our 2 Labrador retrievers so having the fenced in yard was great! Plus, the neighborhood was perfect for taking them on nice long walks each day. The location is an easy drive to the Venice dog beach which they love! The main recommendation I made to Tom was to get new bath towels as they are ready to be replaced. I visit every year for the holidays because I have family that lives 7 minutes away from the house which was very convenient. I would definitely stay at his property again.

Our family of four stayed at Palmetto Cottage for our spring vacation, and it was the perfect choice for us. The space was ideal, providing enough room for everyone to feel comfortable. The beds were incredibly cozy, and we were happy to find an abundance of pillows, such a thoughtful touch! Everything was clean and well-stocked, with plenty of towels, coffee, and kitchen appliances. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting. The host has clearly put a lot of thought into making the space welcoming for guests. We loved being able to take advantage of the nearby beaches each day, and it was incredibly convenient to have everything we needed for the beach right at the cottage. The location of the cottage is fantastic, situated in a quiet neighborhood yet centrally located to many of the area's beautiful beaches. We enjoyed visiting several, from Manasota Beach to Siesta Key. It was an unforgettable vacation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Clean accommodating home, with so many useful amenities and great fenced in back yard with enclosed porch. We were able to walk dog down the road to Shamrock park access. We also enjoyed the bike ride by the Intercostal and took it to Caspersen Beach to look for shark teeth. Heather left a wonderful book that should answer every question, not to mention sent a video with instructions to operate some of the amenities. Thank you for being amazing hosts!
