Cottage holiday rentals in South Historic District, Savannah

Missy provided a cozy well-equipped location. We loved being able to bike or cart everywhere on the island. it was a nice quiet place to just hang out as well. Would definitely stay again!

Lauren’s place was absolutely beautiful and unique plus sparkling clean and so comfortable. One of the best Airbnbs we have stayed in! Out of a storybook, she has truly thought of every detail. In addition to the beautiful interior, the front porch is amazing and back yard with pool, hot tub, sauna, and outdoor shower is phenomenal! Lauren is a friendly, responsive and thoughtful host. Any need or question was responded to immediately. 10 out of 10- Highly recommend staying here! Only wish we could have stayed longer!

From beginning to end our stay was fantastic!! We walked in Missy had the electric fire place going and a fire on the TV. It was so welcoming and thoughtful. Hard to believe, but we actually got snowed during our stay, and Missy stepped up and went above and beyond to make sure we were okay. The only store open was a convenience store, but the hostess with the mostest, made sure we had food!! Thank you! We will definitely be back!!

Cannot recommend this place more. Location is awesome. Close to everything but also somewhat off the normal path so it feels away from the “hustle and bustle” of Tybee. Missy was an awesome host as well. Instructions were super clear for where everything was. Provided great guidebooks for what to do, where to eat, and how to get places. Great experience from start to finish.

This is our second time staying at the Salty Mermaid. We hope it is not our last! The place is perfect for the family - even the guys loved the bed swings on the front porch and the added swing near the pool! We requested the pool be heated during our stay (added reasonable cost). We love adventuring out to the beach or into Savannah and coming back to jump in to pool followed by a dip in the hot tub then chatting around the fire pit. Makes for a perfect ending to fun days! Our Thanksgivings at the Salty Mermaid aren’t the traditional turkey fest, but an outdoor grilled feast that may be becoming a new tradition! The place is set up for easy meals but Missy lists several island restaurants nearby. Working out the details with Missy was a breeze! Thank you, Missy, for our new Thanksgiving holiday tradition home away from!

Jenny’s cottage was simply adorable! I traveled from California to visit my daughter and her new husband. We were exploring Savannah and the Tybee area. The cottage was centrally located to both. Only about 20 minutes to historic Savannah. The cottage is beautifully appointed with a lovely family room and a vintage chic kitchen. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable with a king bed in the master and a comfy trundle in the second bedroom. Jenny was so responsive and easy to contact. We had a few requests and she responded so quickly and generously. She had wonderful recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The grounds were lovely with a sitting area and fire pit. We enjoyed a walk through the neighboring areas. It was very peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay at Jenny’s cottage again and highly recommend her property to anyone visiting the area. Thank you Jenny for hosting us! We’re so glad we found you!

This cottage was even better than we’d hoped. The hosts set us up with excellent recommendations for everything from tours to restaurants of all types and were kind enough to let us stash our bags in a safe spot prior to check-in so we could start exploring the city. They have done a beautiful job renovating the cottage with modern comforts while still maintaining the historical charm. The location couldn’t have been better—centrally located, but on a quiet street.

The house was so great! Exactly as described, and in a wonderful location. You can walk to several bars and delicious restaurants, and the beach is SO close!! The outdoor space is so cute and perfect for hanging out. We will definitely be back!!

Magnolia Cottage was amazing. The host was spot-on with everything. From the communication, to the spotless house itself, everything was perfect. We were questioning the price of our rental until we arrived. But, the house was 3 blocks from the beach, and EVERYTHING we needed was provided. From beach chairs with a cart to travel with, corn-hole, darts, bbq grill, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms, and with such a beautiful setting, the house was truly set up to make everything easy for the renters. After experiencing everything that comes with it, and how well they took care of their place, the price was no longer in question. If you're looking for a place to get together with a few friends, or even a family of 5 or 6, look no further. This place was perfect, and we would love to come back. Thank you, Holly!

Our cottage was perfection! Beautiful, clean, very well stocked, wonderful location complete with pelican and dolphin sitings, friendly neighbors, very serene & that intoxicating porch swing!!!! The owner was so kind and we even met him in person when he delivered a golf cart to us ( to replace one)…we appreciated that personal touch! Five stars all around… my friends and I now know why this peaceful island can “get in your blood,” making you want to go back..and, this cottage is the perfect place to go back to!!!! Thank you for the stay!

We have returned happily many times. The cabin feels like our relaxing vacation home. We love sitting on the patio and just enjoying the trees and birds.

Everything was above and beyond! We were incredibly grateful for the excellent customer service. There was a situation that needed attention related to the recent storms, and they were very quick to take care of all of our needs, locating us in a beautiful, clean and comfortable place. We had a memorable trip in Savannah, celebrating our 30th anniversary! We would absolutely recommend booking with them, and would do it all again! ~Julie

I love Cohens Retreat. Everytime I have stayed there, I've had everything I needed. It's close enough to downtown and the beach, but set away in such a peaceful setting. It's like coming home.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Everything was clean and exactly how they described it. Location is an easy drive to downtown Savannah and we enjoyed being away from the busy part of the city during our downtime. Very pretty view and the sunrise comes in the windows on the primary bedroom. Minimal clean up is required from the guests. We just had to take our trash out and run the dishwasher! I would stay here again.

This place was AMAZING! I kind of wanted to stay in downtown Savannah, but my husband wanted to stay a little outside and I'm so glad we did because the cottage was great! It was very peaceful and quiet and a great location with downtown Savannah being only about a 10 minute drive and Tybee island about a 20 minute drive. The cottage was very cute and clean and well cared for. The communication and instructions from the host were friendly and very helpful! There were only two downsides, which I would consider minor. The water pressure in the kitchen and bathroom is not great and the kitchen was not very well stocked. For example, they had a coffee pot and coffee, but no filters for the pot. Everything else was great though and I would definitely stay here again!

I loved the location since it was close to all the main arteries in and out of town. the restaurant/bar was a definite plus. will definitely but if available the next time I come down

We had a great stay! Super easy check in and clear instructions. Quiet neighborhood and a nice walk to great restaurants. Our favorite meal of our whole trip was atTortugas's Island Grille. Food was phenomenal and great service and was only about a 5-10 min walk from the stay. About a 15 minute drive to Forsyth Park and dodowntown Savannah. We parked around Forsyth and then just walked all over. Only issue we had is that our AC was broken the first night. I reached out and got an immediate response. They sent someone out the next day to diagnose and had set up 2 portable ac units. They were very represponsive and even refunded us for a night without me asking. Highly recommend!
