Honestly it was my first time in Shillong and I have nothing but praises for the place and the culture. Kenneth looks after you like how you would be treated as a guest in heaven. He's kind, the place is wholesome and he looks after every need with great detail and care. One of the best hosts I've come across. Roma ji is an excellent host! She has a great knack of knowing when to engage with guests, and when to leave them on their own. She ensured my comfort, helped me with many local recommendations (Especially tailored to my biking trip), and allowed me lot of flexibility around breakfast timing (Given that on most days I left early in the morning for my bike trips). Meghalaya haa so much to offer, and one trip is not enough to cover it all! And whenever I visit Meghalaya, I will ensure I stay at Hillcrest! PS: Great view of Shilong (Morning & Night) right from your room! dont miss it!

It was a perfect stay. The 1959 House have a perfect blend of old time vibes with modern amenities. The room space is big enough with all necessary amenities, the washroom was perfectly clean. There is a beautiful garden as well. More than that, the host is too good, friendly & responsive. Me Kenneth allowed me to do early Check in & guided well for my trip. Overall a perfect stay!!

I loved Veera’s place. It was all that I needed after long stressful days just before it. It felt like I was bathing in the winds and the sunshine in fresh air from the woods around.. it’s like a home away from home. It’s a perfect place if one wants to unwind for a few days.. be with themselves or their loved ones.. have a hearty breakfast and spend a “slow luxury life”. Anything told about her place will be lesser than what I experienced. It’s beyond words. I would love to go back someday again and stay for a longer duration. Wish I could add a few images too here.

We really had a nice time staying at your place with a comfortable room and a peaceful outdoor area. My room was beyond my expectations, because it was more beautiful than those pictures. actually I found the location more convenient than police bazar. thanks you Rachel

Hands down the best Airbnb stay I've experienced! Roma Ji and Yash Ji made us feel right at home right from the moment we checked in. 1. Cleanliness - The place was squeaky clean and extremely meticulously done. The room, the lounge, the kitchenette, the front and backyards, and the lawn - each corner was pristine! 2. Hospitality - Roma Ji's place sits at the sweet spot between a hotel's amenities and an Airbnb's homeliness. The hosts were very warm throughout, very responsive, polite and clearly communicated anything and everything. They also served scrumptious breakfast each morning at the time we preferred! 3. Experience - I knew this is a guest house and I'll have to share the place with more guests. But the experience was better than I had imagined. We met some very amazing people who had been staying at the guest house for the same period and socializing with them was great fun! The next time I or anyone from my family is visiting Shillong, I won't be looking elsewhere!

The stay was very pleasant and great being located in the main spot of the city. The house was cozy with spacious bedrooms and garden area. Host Anamika was very responsive and addressed all our queries patiently. Overall a great place to stay in Shillong.
