Holiday rentals with lake access in Sherman

This was our second time staying at Dana & Joel’s lakeside house, which is comfortable, inviting, and so much fun for kids thanks to the upstairs game room and play area. My family loves the location, which is very close to downtown Greenwood Lake, downtown Warwick and all of its great restaurants, and Mt. Peter. We use the house as a home base for skiing at Mt. Peter. The hosts are very responsive. During our recent stay, they took care of a minor bathroom repair immediately and also made sure the driveway was shoveled for us in the morning. We are looking forward to staying here again on our next trip to Mt. Peter!

Everything was perfect ! My family and I had a great time. Looking forward to staying here again in the summer.

Anne Marie's place was exactly what we were looking for! It is extremely well stocked, with everything you might need, from kitchen appliances, extra blankets, many towels, etc. The surroundings were gorgeous and the area is very quiet and peaceful. Anne Marie was friendly and very responsive, answering questions quickly and flexibly. We can't wait to come back!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Gaby's home. Unlike many Airbnb hosts who design their spaces to feel like generic hotels, Gaby’s place radiated warmth, personality, and charm. It felt like a home that had been truly lived in and loved, with thoughtful, personal touches like family photos, unique art, and an impressive collection of books that added so much character. Gaby herself was an incredible host—always responsive, friendly, and approachable. She’s the kind of person I'd love to sit down and chat with. The setting was absolutely stunning. We had snow, the lake was frozen, and the wintry view was really peaceful. The abundance of wildlife made it even more special—we spotted deer, bald eagles, a couple of foxes who visited every morning, and even a bobcat prancing around the house one evening. We also love to cook, and Gaby’s kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to play chef If you’re looking for an authentic and unforgettable Airbnb experience

It was so lovely to get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. Isaac & Stef have a lovely home, perched high up on the hill. There are a few homes that are close, but the view over the Lake is absolutely worth it. Watching the sun rise over the lake was divine and enjoying the hot tub on a snowy afternoon was incredible. The kitchen was well-stocked and we were able to cook plenty over the weekend. We'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Our stay was really nice and felt like a true vacation for me and the kids while visiting family and the town I grew up in. I grew up on a different lake in Monroe so this house really brought back memories for me. They had so many great activities for the kids inside and outside the house. We felt right at home. Staying at Lilian's place was pleasurable. It was clean, everything matched the description, and the furniture and kitchen were in very good condition. My fiancé, our dog, and I stayed here for a quiet NYE staycation. We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The space was very clean and accurate to the pictures posted on the listing. There was another family with a dog who was staying in the main house at the same time we were, however, we never really heard them. Our favorite part was the bottle of red wine from Millbrook Winery left on the kitchen table for us. We always appreciate a personal touch from an Airbnb hose! We hope to be back soon!

Lovely place. Perfect for 2. It did get a little cold during the night, but we did find an extra blanket. Hot water took a while to heat up…but probably due to the fact that it was very cold outside. Nice coffee shop out front.

We could not say enough about this place! It was fully equipped with everything you could think of and more. Bee let us check in early and was extremely helpful answering any questions we had a long the way. We will most definitely be back on our next trip home. This air b n b sets the bar for all other air b n b’s from here on out. The price range felt as though it should’ve been more for this top notch experience. 12/10 would recommend! We only had a short stay, but John was a great help letting us check in early - they clearly love their home and the town, offering annotated menus of local restaurants and info on many natural features to visit in the area. Delightful decor, many many plants, plenty of linens available, no shortage of room to lounge and relax. Parking was a cinch, checkout directions were clear and simple. Would stay again.

This was just what I needed for my first trip to Mohegan Lake! Quiet neighborhood. Cozy bed. Great water pressure. I’ll definitely be booking again if I come back to this cute little town.

Another Perfect Stay in Morris, Connecticut! We had our third wonderful experience staying at Kevin’s place in Morris! The home was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The furnishings were incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring Litchfield County. The location was perfect – quiet and peaceful, yet close to local attractions, hiking spots, and charming nearby towns. We really enjoyed the easy access to nature trails and the serene atmosphere of the area. Kevin was a fantastic host, providing great communication and helpful tips about the area. We can’t recommend this place enough – a true gem in Morris!

We really enjoyed our stay in this thoughtfully designed space! Incredibly kind and communicative host, and the property is so lovely!

My husband, our two elderly parents and I stayed at Oriole Cottage with our young dog during a winter break. Cheryl had been Hannah really friendly and proactive in their communications with us, and when we arrived we found Oriole Cottage cheerful, warm, clean, and with good bedding (fluffy duvets and quite comfortable beds). The living/dining area and kitchen are bright, nice and sunny. We found the kitchen very well appointed, and we each enjoyed the different coffee-making choices available to us (French press, drip, Nespresso etc)… something to suit everyone’s taste. Bathrooms had good hot water and shower pressure (!) Overall, the cottage is a sunny, warm, comfortable and clean place to stay. We’d love to return during a summer month when we can try kayaking and all the activities of a summer lakeside stay.

We loved the view out to the lake, which was different every day and throughout the day. The open layout of the house is great to enjoy the views, and if the weather is nice, there are great sitting areas outside as well. The house is well-stocked and cozy. The hosts are friendly and always responsive. There are also great parks to visit nearby. We had a great winter weekend and would love to stay again.

Our stay at the Lake House Cabin was nothing short of magical! This charming 1940s cabin offered the perfect backdrop for celebrating my wife's birthday with our adult children. The stunning views of the lake were a highlight, providing a serene and picturesque setting that made our family gatherings truly special. We loved the easy access to kayaks and a canoe, which allowed us to explore the water and create lasting memories together. The cabin itself was cozy and well-appointed, making us feel right at home. We appreciated the blend of rustic charm and modern amenities, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place to reconnect with family and enjoy nature, I can't recommend this lake house highly enough. We left with full hearts and plans to return!

The cottage is exceptional in every way. It’s stylish, cozy, efficient, and well thought out. The hosts that rent it are the icing on the cake though! We took advantage of all the opportunities for fun; canoe, fire pit, long walks, coffee on the patio, incredible nature watching, yoga, and meditation! You’ll want to move in as soon as you see it. The views from the main window are top notch! T and Karen really made the experience memorable and were more than accommodating, friendly, and all around good humans. Thank you!!!!
