Cottage holiday rentals in Shenandoah River

Communication was seamless! Whitney was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The home was very clean and very very cute! We felt comfortable the whole time. Highly recommend 👌 👍 👏

The description and photos are very accurate but do not do justice to this cottage. It was absolutely perfect, we fell in love with it as soon as we walked in. You can see all the hard work and effort John and Lori put into this place for their guest. It was decorated beautifully, my husband loves all the canoes that were sitting around. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away and just relax. Thank you again John and Lori.

Ashley’s place was wonderful! The views were gorgeous. There were a lot of great details. There were magnetic blinds in every room with curtains. Great for sleeping. The kitchen had more than you needed. The couch was comfortable enough to sleep on. All the linens were clean and smelled fresh. She had suitcase holders. The hot tub was clean and nice. Everything worked well. Ashley communicated well and checked in a couple times to make sure we had everything we needed.

I LOVED my stay at Emily and Heather's Cottage! The house was clean, comfortable, and you could tell they put a lot of thought into the amenities offered, including a full coffee/cocoa bar, and many dog friendly items for my pup. This is the first Airbnb I've stayed at where I've truly felt at home. Emily and Heather were quick to respond to messages, and were available to come help with any needs that came up. I'm already looking at my calendar to find another time to return!

Our stay at the cottage was fantastic. In addition to the inviting interior of the cottage itself, the property includes a well-maintained hot tub as well as a fire pit. There is also a pool, though it wasn’t open for the season during our stay. It may seem a minor detail, but the property has a covered patio with outdoor fans and a cafe table where we were able to enjoy morning coffee and a quiet start to our day. The cottage’s proximity to the winery (literally 30 seconds on foot) means that you head over for a tasting whenever the mood strikes you. To be able to enjoy a winery, relax in a hot tub, and wind down near a fire pit all in one location was a real treat. Andrea was both a proactive and responsive host. She provided everything we needed to know prior to arrival and communicated promptly while we were there. We would definitely visit again!

This place was absolutely fabulous. My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary relaxing. There is not a lot to do in the local area so we planned on cooking meals in. There was a couple local grocery stores within a 10 minute drive for what we needed. Jessica responded when I asked questions and was very sweet and friendly to communicate with. The cottage was very clean. The only suggestion I have is maybe a privacy screen and a table for the hot tub. There was a lot of traffic and at times people slowed down to look. We hope to come back in our future.

This was the best stay I could have hoped for. The design was so beautiful and very spacious. The two rolling mattresses were very helpful. On-site laundry was a plus as well. The hot tub was amazing and very well maintained, the back patio was amazing and had two swinging chairs which I adored. Overall, I would definitely recommend this Airbnb for a peaceful stay in a vibrant cottage surrounded by beautiful outdoors.

This was a great little getaway place for my family. We really enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, and just listening to the stream that runs through the back yard. Everything about this place was so cozy! There was a really nice restaurant nearby called the Stone House.

The Copper Cottage was such a cute little getaway destination. It was exactly as described. Our stay was comfortable, clean, and adorable. It was close to town and the South River where we went to trout fish. There was a nice brewery across the street and several yummy restaurants in town . The bed was very comfortable, nice firepit in the backyard although we didn’t get a chance to use, shower was a little tricky, but we figured it out. The kitchen was too stinkin cute!

The hosts were welcoming and kind. They welcomed us when we first arrived and then let us be. We needed some help turning the TV on and they were super quick to pop over and help. Gave us recommendations on restaurants and gave us a heads up that a crew would be there doing some construction on their property. Loved how close amenities were, like food lion and restaurants. An absolutely amazing stay!

We greatly enjoyed our stay! The location was convenient for all of our activities. The place was very clean and comfortable. The hosts provided clear directions and helpful notes that made everything seamless. We appreciated their thoughtfulness and hospitality. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a great location for our stay in Charlottesville, especially with our dogs in tow. We felt secluded but were still able to get to everything we wanted to do!

Billy's has become our hideaway from Northern Virginia over the last 3 years. Love the peace and quiet and natural surroundings. If you love to hike, there are numerous trails to visit and, of course, excellent breweries and wineries nearby as well.

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The fireplace was a treat, and we had a very cozy stay. It's hard to add to what other reviewers have already said, but here is one detail: on a winter's night, when the moon is down and the sky is clear, the stars are fantastic! Because there is no nearby light pollution, the view from the deck of the night sky is deep and brilliant.

Very clean with very comfortable beds. I absolutely appreciate the enclosure for my dogs. Quiet while submerged with nature. We felt right at home. Highly recommended

We loved staying here for a weekend getaway! The place is only a few blocks from the beach and there are lots of great restaurants around! The kitchen had everything we needed and the hosts provided some fun games to play! We would love to stay here again!

Kay was a great host, very responsive, and helpful. The house itself was cozy and clean. It's just outside of SkylitFeive which has lots of beautiful hikes. Highly recommended!

Celeste was an amazing host! We had a bad experience at a hotel in town and Celeste welcomed us last minute into her home. We were so grateful, but better yet, the home was unbelievably charming! It was the perfect place for our little girls trip. The yard and views were just beautiful and we hope to be back someday! The home was clean, private, peaceful and we had everything we needed. Such a beautiful place! We stayed here for my 10 yr olds bday weekend! We had an amazing time such a beautiful private location! We will definitely be back in the future!
