Just a nice cozy cabin feel. Well stocked kitchen, had everything needed to cook what ever. Just a note, no dish washer. Very peaceful private setting overlooking the Mississippi River. Rustic pine interior for the extra cabin feel.

This was the perfect escape for a long weekend. You can really tell J &J love what they do and really poured their passion into the tree house. The tree house had everything we needed and more!

We had an absolutely lovely and cozy experience. We stayed the last weekend of October, and despite the chilly nights, the cabin was toasty warm. The stars were incredible and the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. We loved the kerosene lamps and reading while rocking on the porch. We hope to come back for a longer stay next time and visit the local Amish shops. Thank you to John and Ruth for sharing your lovely cabin! We enjoyed the photos and news clippings in the photo album so much.

Stayed for two months while visiting our son’s family. Hosts were so kind. The property is off the beat-and-path yet only a few miles from Target, Menards, Groceries, many other stores and restaurants. There is a beautiful horse and goat on property and wooded trails to explore, very peaceful. Regarding the internet, the description says there isn’t any; internet was available during our stay 90% of the time however it is intermittent. Wasn’t a big deal for us but if you require internet for work maybe look elsewhere otherwise you can hot-spot during brief periods it isn’t working. Living room furniture wasn’t very comfy however the bed was fine (and guess that’s the most important of the two). Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely adorable, had all the amenities I would need. Hosts were very welcoming, thoughtful, and attentive. Felt right at home, the four legged hosts were a bonus : ) I would definitely book again when in the area.

Beautiful location and views. Loved the firepit and the yard swing. Cabin had everything in it that you could think of and more. Everytime I opened another cupboard or closet I was surprised at what I would find. Nice fireplace and plenty of fans as well as window AC. Plus, the fishing off the dock was great. I caught a Northern that was worth keeping. Karen was always available anytime I needed to ask her anything. She definately went above and beyond to make my stay wonderful. Yet, she was never bothering me in any way. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to get away for a few days. Myself and my adult children will each be renting this place again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful time! Michelle J
