Family-friendly holiday rentals in Rumford

Polly’s chalet was warm, cozy, and full of personal touches. We appreciated having everything we needed in the space, and the location was excellent, with proximity to Cross Country Skiing and Sunday River and restaurants. There were plenty of supplies including bottled water to use and we loved watching the stars from the hot tub under the trees. Polly’s communication was great. We were happy to find this location and would stay here again!

2nd time staying here for a guys ski weekend! everyone was stoked to stay here again! it is in great proximity to sunday river and 2 doors down from the matterhorn ski bar! hot tub was awesome and the ping pong table in the basement was fun! we did alot of cooking at the house and the kitchen and dinning room where very spacious! we all loved that log cabin feel and being in the mountains!

This is one of the most well-maintained properties that I have ever stayed at. The property has so many amenities to entertain a large group. The property was absolutely beautiful and you can see the care that is put into it by the hosts. The property has plenty of beds for everyone to sleep in and is spacious enough that a large group you do not feel crammed. There is tons of space to hangout outside as well as inside. The host was communicative, checking in throughout the process to ensure everything was going well and provided recommendations based on what our group was interested in doing.

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

This was our second time staying at Kathy’s place and both times worked out great. There is plenty of space for 8 of us plus two dogs and convenient to Sunday River. I am sure it will not be our last time here.

Pictures don’t even do it justice, the house is far more beautiful in person. My friends and I were only there for a weekend but we enjoyed every second we spent in the house. From the hot tub ,to the pool table, to all the other games provided by the host. Even if you’re not doing anything in the area of the Airbnb, it would be hard to get bored in this beautiful house.

Paul's house was wonderful! It smelled so fresh when we arrived and was very clean. The house was more spacious than i expected. It was just us two of but could absolutely fit another couple and a few kids with plenty of privacy. We really enjoyed fires in the wood stove with firewood provided. The soaks in the hot tub were amazing! The beach towels were greatly appreciated for wrapping up in to hurry in from the cold! We had fun grilling in the snow and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We felt right at home. Our dog had a blast playing in the big backyard too! Paul has great communication and was very fast to respond. Paul's vacation home is perfect place to relax and unwind! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Maine getaway Paul!

A truly relaxing experience. We did a couple's weekend get away. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. We especially enjoyed the ambiance of the woodstove and the super cozy large sectional couch. The house was tastefully decorated with interesting art and trinkets through the home. We stood in the loft bedroom. The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were clean. The view was very pretty. We didn't use the kitchen but it seemed to have all the necessary supplies. There was ample space for a large family to stay. We noticed baby gates to both stairs and a box of toys near the TV. The house instructions were clear and concise. Kelly was very quick to respond to inquires prior to our stay, but once we got there and read the instructions, we had no questions. We had such a great stay, we didn't want to leave. Would 100% recommend to friends and family. Well worth the price and would stay again !

Deborah was an awesome host, her place has every amenity you could need and is a perfect jump off point for sunday river or hiking in grafton notch. This was my second time staying here and I'll definitely be back again!

Kent has created an incredible slice of island paradise here. He is generous with his time and knowledge. He made us feel very welcome and met us with exactly what we needed for our weekend. We stayed at the NaughtyDog island and chose to canoe to and from. It was a peaceful and unique adventure that I’d recommend to anyone.

Aranka is an excellent host! Colby’s Cabin is always serene and peaceful. We got to bbq due to the nice weather and kept warm and toasty with the wood stove. Everything in the cabin was in perfect working order including the new propane refrigerator. We look forward to coming back again next spring:)

What a beautiful location! David is a great host. He made sure we had good directions, tips for the area, and was quick to answer any questions. The lakeside cabin has absolutely everything you need to have a peaceful, relaxing vacation. The view of the lake is spectacular. The cabin is very clean, has a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and Echo lake is a gorgeous pristine lake. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee on the dock. We swam, kayaked, canoed and even tried out the paddle boards that came with the house. We would love to come back! Thanks!

Our stay at Barry’s place was delightful! We came up to Ski at Sunday River and with the place being less than 15 minutes away, it was easy to be back and forth for our dog. Barry was responsive and helpful with any instructions we needed, and the place itself fit what we needed perfectly. We’d love to come stay again sometime!

What a treat it was to stay on North Pond! The camp was fantastic- comfortable, amazing location with views of the lake from most of the windows, peaceful and fun, and had great amenities. Holly was a great host- very responsive and kind. Hiking to Buck's Ledge, swimming and kayaking/canoing were all popular. Falling asleep to loons and waking up to fog on the lake. Highly recommended!

This has been my best AirBnB experience yet. My son and I stayed at Anthony’s while on a snowboard trip to Sunday River. We are so fortunate that it was available. The house is so nice that even though it rained on the first day and we were unable to snowboard, we still had an amazing experience because Anthony’s Icelandic style home is so cozy with a classic firewood stove and natural (cabin like) wood interior. The second day the skies cleared and we saw the breathtaking view from the abundance of windows throughout the home. The night star covered sky is spectacular and you can clearly see the band of our Milky Way galaxy. Anthony was also extremely responsive and hospitable. Thank you for giving us an amazing experience and great memories!

Gorgeous house with amazing views. The host was very quick to answer any questions. The house is very clean all the way down to the smallest details. I highly recomend this stay and am shocked I got it at the price I did. Highly recomend.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spacious and perfect for our large group of friends (three families). The kitchen was well-stocked, and the large dining table made for a memorable Christmas dinner together. The location was fantastic—just a 10-minute drive to the waterpark and Attitash Mountain, and about an hour to Santa’s Village and several other ski resorts. There were also multiple grocery stores conveniently nearby. Overall, the house had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable trip. Highly recommend!

The house was great for the size of the crowd we had. All 16 of us had plenty of elbow room and a very relaxing stay. The yard is very private and the pool kept the kids busy all day. It was a wonderful experience for the family. Thank you Susan

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. It was very peaceful and was just what we needed to getaway with our pups.

lovely condo, great location! If it's a twilight ski night you can ski in/ski out to that as well bc the trails by you are the ones used!

Our stay at Julia’s condo was fantastic. Right on the mountain and easy to access lifts and the lodge. The place was as described and had all we need for a great weekend of skiing.

Rana’s place is amazing - we would give it 10 stars if we could. We have stayed in this area many times, and Rana’s place is by far our favorite! The unit is absolutely gorgeous - clean and well appointed. The views are amazing and the unit feels really private. The location in Intervale is top notch - you are close enough to everything that it is easy to get around, but far enough away that it feels really peaceful when you are back at the unit. We will definitely be back to Rana’s place!

Great spot! We enjoyed our time and the pool hot tub is very nice! It is separate building easy walk to the outdoor pool and hot tub with sauna. Would choose here again.

Great little condo. Cannot beat the location. The pool and hot tub were fabulous after a long day of skiing. The condo itself is a bit small but definitely as described in the listing. My family found it cozy. Would rent again!
