Monthly Rentals in Rougemont

This place is absolutely fabulous! Anya is such an incredible host. She is so kind, welcoming and respectful. She's also very responsive to communication. The studio (really more like a one bedroom, since there's lots of space and a lovely kitchenette!) is perfect. So clean, so pretty, and the view to the backyard from the bedroom window is beautiful. The bed is also super comfy! The bathroom is very spacious, and it was great to have a bathtub. The apartment is on the top floor of the house, so it's very quiet - perfect for working or studying. The apartment is furnished with a nice-sized desk, chairs, a very comfortable couch, a dresser, and two beside tables. The walk-in closet is fantastic for extra storage. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, a sink, a microwave, and a two-burner cooktop stove and all the utensils, cookware, dishes, glasses, etc. you could possibly need. If you work or study at Duke, the drive to campus is so easy. I never hit traffic, and it's only about 15 minutes. The neighborhood is also very nice and quiet. Anyone would be lucky to stay here! The cottage is just as it is shown, and yes, cozy is small, but I was very comfortable. Mary was very friendly and nice to talk with. I had two dogs with me and she let us have access to her large field so the dogs got a good run each day. My dogs also enjoyed meeting Mary's dog. I was there for a dog obedience trial at the nearby Kennel Club building and it was very nice to find this lising that was so close. When/if I go back for another dog show, I'll definitely try and stay here again.

We had a wonderful time and Steve & Donna are such great hosts - not to mention their two friendly dogs! Quiet and private space with porch that overlooks beautiful forest. If anything, the space is larger than it appears in the photos and there's plenty of room to spread out to read, watch TV, play your guitar or whatever else. Close to great forest walking trails and Durham/Chapel Hill/Hillsborough are 15 minutes away for restaurants and shopping. Seniors with Silver Sneakers can use the Orange County Sportsplex which has exercise machines, gym, pool, pickleball and exercise programs. Can't say enough about the space and hosts - we'd definitely stay here again if we're to spend time in the area!
