Holiday rentals with a fire pit in River Tamar

It is a wonderful place to stay, especially if you have dogs. The fully fenced, secure yard is perfect for them. Annie even left some quality dog treats for our arrival. We had such a lovely and relaxing time. We very much look forward to returning.

We absolutely loved this place. Practical and functional, beautifully presented and maintained, lovely views over the river, quiet and peaceful location. We were able to make various day trips to some superb parts of Tasmania, but The Little Shack itself was one the highlights of our holiday. Carolyn was an attentive, welcoming and communicative host. Highly recommend – we'd be keen to stay here again!

This place is absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend staying here. Beautiful courtyard, with amazing views of the bay while sitting around the fire pot. Inside the house is amazing. It’s so clean, very well laid out and the bed is soooo comfy. Loved waking up, opening the automatic blinds to looking out over the bay. I would definitely come back and stay here again. 10/10

Kevin was extremely helpful and very communicative prior to our arrival. The house was gorgeous and felt extremely homely whilst being very clean and well appointed. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed our day and would definitely stay again.

Grace's home is beautiful. It's well equipped with 3 full bathrooms and the beds are super comfy. I stayed the night before our wedding with my bridesmaids and got ready at the home - is couldn't have asked for a better location for this!

Great location in a peaceful street. Only 5 minutes drive to the CBD to pubs and restaurants. Very comfortable apartment that I would recommend to others.

A very comfortable place in a great location. The home had all the essential supplies. We used a nearby laundromat for washing clothes. Place is walkable to Cataract Gorge & other beautiful green spaces. Judy was friendly & proactive in her communication. Would happily recommend to others and stay again.

Great place to stay. Not far from the airport, calm and relaxing. Property was spotless and Rob left few delicious treats in the fridge. There is big BBQ grill outside. No roaches, no nothing bothering you. What else you need? :) Thank you, Robert, it was a pleasure to stay your place.

Perfect place to relax and unwind,

We had a lovely stay here with lots of space for the kids to run and roam, something we don’t have back home. But more significant to us was the personal touch. Pat came down to deliver eggs and milk and the next night, offered to light up the bonfire. Kids had fun learning how to do so. After which, he offered the kids a ride to see pademelons in the estate. They were so thrilled to see some. It’s the personal touch that means a lot to us. Of course, the space itself is lovely. It’s an hour half drive to cradle mountain but hospitality, privateness, calmness of the place more than make up for it!

This place is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. I love the attention to detail in the decor throughout the space. The bed was incredibly comfortable; we didn’t want to get up once we lay down. We also loved having meals and tea in the sunroom! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, slept well, and felt refreshed by the natural surroundings. Stuart and Lucinda are both kind, lovely, easy to talk to, and very informative. Thank you for everything you prepared and provided, including the welcoming basket of fruits and veggies! We would love to visit again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and enjoy the comfort of nature.

Our stay was amazing. This is such a beautiful location and peaceful setting. The design and thoughtful amenities were really appreciated. We hope to return for another visit in future.

Gaby and John were delightful hosts, greeting us upon arrival they showed us the cabin and let us settle in. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the view was spectacular. The cabin was the best spot to relax and watch the wildlife go by. We loved making friends with the local wallaby.
