Cabin holiday rentals in River Great Ouse

A great "quirky" place, will definitely visit again. The host Caroline was very helpful and our 4 dogs also loved the enclosed gardens.

The cabin was immaculate. There is nothing we could fault. Everything was beautifully clean and well looked after. I can’t think of anything that you would need that wasn’t there. Tea, coffee, milk and the coffee machine; shower gel, shampoo, towels for inside and outside when using the hot tub along with robes too. It really is beautiful. We popped into the pub for a drink but didn’t eat. However I can say it was lovely and busier than i would expect for a Thursday night. John messaged to enquire about our arrival time and had no problem with our vague plan. We stayed in touch and he was waiting to greet us. He showed us around and explained how to contact him if we needed anything. We had a lovely break and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the property. Thank you for making our stay so memorable and the kindness you showed our daughter.

We had an amazing weekend here! It’s a gorgeous cabin and the hot tub was lovely. Karen was very quick to respond to our messages with any questions.

We chose this secluded area for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and also making use of the hot tub in the glorious spring evenings. A great space to relax and unwind and with easy access to Cambridge for a spot of hustle and bustle. We will definitely be coming back for a future dose of R&R. Tom and Samantha :)

John was a great host, he welcomed us and was very friendly and communicated from the start. The lodge is so peaceful, quiet and scenic. The amenities are great, only suggestion would be some light blankets as it gets cold and they would have been nice to sit outside with. We didn't stay long, only 2 nights, would happily have stayed longer and would deffo come again for race days. Lovely local pub 2-3 min walk away the Red Lion, beautiful food and staff were friendly.

I loved it so much I have booked to go again, disappointed that the prices are higher. However it was the perfect break that I needed.

If you are looking for a weekend away with lads it’s perfect place .. Host is very responsive

Lovely lodge lots of bee touches. Clean, bigger than we thought, lovely stay. Felt swimming was expensive, if we had gone twice it would have been 74 pounds. Coming from yorkshire felt that was too much. Llovely walk around site. Went to five bells for tea, very good food. Very relaxing.

We had a fantastic stay at Sherwood Farm, it’s even better than the description and pictures. Lovely space with lots of room for a family of 4. Toys and books the kids loved and the garden/ field was huge and they adored it! Had a great takeaway from the Naz in Soham and took the kids to several local national trust properties and Bens yard which has a great coffee shop and adventure play ground. Lovely to have tea and coffee provided in the house. Rooms clean and beds comfy. Huge oven and great facilities to cook. Will definitely do a bbq next time. Cam to Ely to visit family but it felt like a holiday because of this place. Thank you! We will be back.

Mark was an amazing host. His lodge is so beautiful. We felt immediately at home. Our grandchildren were pleasantly surprised to find that Mark had left them a pumpkin to carve along with decorations to use for Halloween. They were also delighted with the quality of the toys and books that were left for them to play with. Hours of entertainment was had with them. The park itself was very quiet, which suited us, as the children could ride their bikes freely. We enjoyed the dog walking around the nature trail which was beautiful this time of year. Thank you Mark for allowing us to stay at your lodge. We cannot wait to return with the golf clubs next time.

A little hidden Gem , really loved this place and Jean & John truly care about their guests equally as much as their vans. I will be returning but next time with family, Jean has literally everything in the accommodation and it shows in great detail .. thank you for being a fabulous host xx

Great little getaway in a lovely park-like location on a beautiful lake. If you like watersports, this is the place for you! (We were in the area to visit family, so we didn’t partake in any water sports). Very well appointed lodge with everything you need. A couple minor issues (eg. couldn’t find a remote) were dealt with quickly. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway or family vacation.

A simple, bright, spacious and immaculately clean studio in a peaceful setting. The village is quaint with many quiet walks and easy access to Cambridge and Saffron Walden. Elmdon also offers an opportunity to see great examples of the regions vernacular architecture, including thatched roofs, decorative pargeting, flintwork and timber framing. It's evident that hosting means more to Fiona than just money. It was a warming experience and we certainly hope to stay here again when we're back in the area.

Easy communication and check in Cabin was perfect for what I needed as I was working locally and needed some place to stay Shower was hot and clean, bar was very well priced and friendly

We had a great time staying here. The cabin looked just like the pictures and was very cosy, and came equipped everything we needed. Chris was very responsive, and even let us check out later than we anticipated which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.

beautiful little annex on the grounds of the hosts family home. very clean and tidy with a contemporary touch.....shower was lovely 😍 👌. What I like is your in the middle of the country, but the shops ain't far at all 😂...Bassingbourn is literally walking distance and it's close to the city of Cambridge If you've ever been to Cambridgeshire then you'll know the area is idyllic....stereotypically English, quaint little houses and beautiful countryside where you can see for miles. Recommend it to anyone...and if you go, stay at Eleanor's! you won't regret it! thanks again! lovely place to stay

Our stay could have not been better. Val communicated to us from the very beginning. Once we got in there everything we needed was just there. Every detail was taken care off, from little chocolates for our arrival, to the position of the chairs at the terrace overlooking the field and sheep’s. We had the chance to meet the hosts and enjoy some conversations with them. The goats and chickens really do add up to the experience. It delta like a little bubble we would love to come back to.

We booked a stay at Buddy’s cabin for a girls catch-up weekend and wow, I am so glad we did! The pictures don’t do it justice, the cabin is so cozy, warm and inviting - the sauna is a huge plus too! Buddy has really thought of everything, providing all the essentials you could need and was extremely accommodating! We went and did many of his local recommendations too! I would recommend this place to everyone! Thank you.

Beautiful hidden little gem of a place . Very clear instructions from Caroline . One allocated parking space on driveway . The lodge was clean and beautifully presented. Very well equipped. Set in lovely grounds with a geodome which was fabulous to sit and chill with a glass of wine or to read . It was lovely having breakfast on the sofas on the front porch . I would highly recommend this lovely lodge . Thank you Caroline
