Monthly Rentals in River Common

My wife and I decided we wanted to be away for some of the Christmas period (Boxing day until 2nd January) as we needed to get away. We came across Pedlers and it ticked all of our boxes especially having a log fire. This was a winner for us. Wow! it didn't disappoint. We asked Sue if it was possible that She could get us a small Christmas tree with lights as it was that time of year for which we paid Her extra. This She did and it was just the right size for the property. It was cosy, peaceful and not far from Hollisters, a lovely country pub. We would recommend staying here at this establishment. So if you want a peaceful, cosey hideaway then this is the place for you. Diane and Aubrey

Beautiful barn in a lovely village. Space was spotless, well stocked and felt like a home away from home. Very comfortable furnishings and bed. Bathroom and kitchen area were both very clean. Lots of crockery and cutlery if you wanted to cook which was handy. Charlotte provided shampoo, shower gel and a few other nice touches. Heating worked well. You can see the stars at night through the sky lights which was lovely! My only drawback was that I had to walk down the lane as I didn’t drive. In the summer this would be fine but as it was dark at 5pm it was poorly lit in some areas which I did not find comfortable. Something to consider if for some reason you don’t travel with a car as I did this time.

From the moment we arrived we knew we would have a fantastic stay. The heating had been turned on ready for our arrival. Every room is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and well thought out. The space is so calming and comfortable. The little welcome gifts for us and our dog were beautiful and so thoughtful. In fact the stay was so relaxing we have already booked to stay again! Beautiful little annex with wood burner and logs provided. Functional small kitchen area and comfortable bed. Smart tv could do with being on a bracket that allowed us to watch in bed but that is a minor minor gripe. Excellent value and a lovely secluded location in the woods. We could hear owls in the night and it was a lovely and peaceful location. Host was responsive and polite. Would certainly recommend, and hopefully visit again. Thank you
