Holiday houses in Remer

We were lucky to have fabulous weather. We took a few pontoon rides, went to Zorbaz, did some fishing (the Sunfish were biting like crazy!), played some corn hole, and had a great bon fire. We were celebrating our Family Christmas ... so we played Christmas carols around the campfire (tee, hee, hee!). Think about it ... when was the last time you got to swim, in Minnesota, in a lake, at the end of September? The kids had a great time jumping off pontoon when swimming. We were sad to not have a sandy beach to swim from, but clearly that didn't stop us from swimming. Enjoying the water from the middle of the lake was a lot of fun. The sleeping arrangement was perfect for all of us. The cabin was beautiful and was a great place for all of us. Thanks for the great memories!

Overall, we had a nice stay. There were a few hiccups at the beginning with missing supplies and some things not clean, but Emily was very responsive and reimbursed the cleaning fee. We loved that they were just as “crunchy” as we are at home! They provide glass and stainless steel cookware and clean ingredient bathroom products. You can tell Emily is very conscientious of the products she provides her guests. We also enjoyed the sauna! We definitely recommend this beautiful getaway.

This rustic cabin is in a beautiful, private area with amazing lake views from both decks. We really enjoyed the serene location and the large living room to have family over. James was a responsive and kind host, would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

This cabin was just perfect for a rustic feel, yet had many modern amenities like the tv and streaming system so we could settle in to a movie at night after skiing and skating all day! We loved the western sun overlooking the beaver pond. The price seemed fair and even a touch better than last year during our stay over MLK weekend. If you want a down to earth feel for the north country, this is it!

Accessibility is a priority for me so having a zero entry entrance for wheelchair access was great. There is a single step (about 2") from the main entrance to the family room on the main level. Kitchen unfortunately was on the upper level, however, we were able to make do with some adjustments on our end that didn't impact qaulity time for dinner. The yard was navigable in a wheelchair as well and was able to get to the pier. There is a lot of amenities for entertainment for everyone, like ping pong, cornhole and darts. There's also a decent size play house that was thoroughly enjoyed as well. The lake is pretty shallow where the dock is, and a lot of lily pads so shore fishing was difficult without the correct lures. You can find panfish and bass, too. DNR unfortunately doesnt have too much info on the type of fish in this lake, however, thats what I saw. Host is communciative, responsive, and flexible within reason of any requests and felt greatful for them for it.

We absolutely loved our stay at Leon’s cabins. They really thought of everything in these cabins and we had more than we even knew we needed. I cant say enough wonderful things about Leon who was such a thoughtful host. The cabin he built was absolutely beautiful. We loved every inch of it. His property was so private and peaceful. We have never said we would want to return to an airbnb until now. We cant wait to book again. Thank you, Leon for the most perfect stay!

Beautiful home with a beautiful view. We had a great time fishing, eating at various places and traveling the North Shore.

Leann was great. She answered my questions promptly and gave good information on local lakes to fish including their own lake. Very accommodating as we had a family emergency during our stay and was willing to let us leave early and comp us accordingly. We ended up sticking it out with about half our normal group. The others were on the way but turned around to head home due to unforeseen circumstances. We ended up working out a deal to stay again next year for the same family vacation to help out with the added costs this year due to only having about half the people we were expecting. I would highly recommend. There is a ton of sleeping and if you spend a little extra for the garage space with games, full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and 10 beds it is well worth it. 5 + star rating. Can’t wait to come next year!
