A truly memorable stay in a quintessential small Douro valley village. The place is as described and a true gem. The dinner paired with wines was a highlight of our stay as was the company. Highly recommend. Beware however that cell service as you enter the remote hamlet with very narrow lanes may be lost rendering your gps useless. Luckily we found service near the church and Jet came and escorted us to her place which is not the easiest to find.

Apartment equipped with everything you need in an amazing location. We ate our meals on the patio overlooking the Douro River Valley. Delicious oranges available picking right off the tree in the yard. House is very functional, but a bit dated in some aspects. The wonderful view overrides that however.

Our stay at this villa was absolutely perfect! The property is stunning, with serene ambiance that made it the ideal getaway. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and the villa truly has everything you could possibly need. The interior is beautifully designed—spacious, modern, and impeccably clean. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to cook meals, and the living spaces are comfortable and inviting. The outdoor area is a highlight, with ample seating, and gorgeous landscaping. Whether we were enjoying our morning coffee or relaxing in the afternoon sun. The location is fantastic—quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to start of the wine route. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be returning in the future. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing escape!

Jane’s apartment is a delightful spot to spend a few days. We loved Provesende. It was quiet and peaceful and perfect for an evening walk. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped (especially the sample port). Be sure to visit the gift shop downstairs. Miguel is a great source of information regarding the area. Be sure to get out to the bakery and get some warm bread before it is sold out! We would absolutely stay here again.
