Holiday rentals with beach access in Portsmouth

Nothing but 5 stars for this AirBnB. James was an amazing host. He drove is to the grocery store and made an amazing dinner. The WNT trail runs right in front of the house and is conveniently located for hikers. The surrounding area is beautiful and the view from the apartment is stunning. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is tidy and neat. Would highly recommend!

Sharlyn's place was very welcoming , smelling amazing and very easy to find. Instructions were clear & host was always available if needed. Will definitely be visiting again.

Erma responded when I was in a bind for a place last minute. The apartment was exactly as advertised and a great price. Clean and just what I needed.

Regil’s apartment was absolutely perfect. It has everything you need, lightning fast Internet, air-conditioning, fans and a comfortable bed with plenty of space. it is within walking distance of shops and amenities, you can either make your way to the beach which is very close by and walk along that way or walk along the road. Just be careful to walk towards the traffic so they can see you and carry a torch at night. Unfortunately, my plans changed at the last minute so I was only able to stay a couple of nights instead of the planned five nights. This was unavoidable and Regil was in completely understanding and refunded me as per his terms and conditions. The communication was fast and easy, and even though I messed up he sorted it quickly and efficiently. Genuinely an incredibly good Airbnb experience which I was extremely grateful for.

We stayed for a week at Julias apartment. It was well presented and had all the amenities that we needed. Julia met us on arrival and was quick to respond at all times. The view from the balcony and kitchen is wonderful, we loved being a part of the local community. We didnt hire a car in the end as the local buses served us well, and we enjoyed seeing this beautiful island from a local perspective. We would definitely return to Julias, if we are fortunate enough to visit Dominica again.

Cylma and Mrs. Hacynthe are very welcoming available and very responsive. the place is spotless and they took care to give us all the comforts of birthplace and organization of a play area for my children. easy to access and absolutely still have a 220v power outlet adapter. spacious, bright, quiet, comfortable, beautiful decor and architecture. large capacity washing machine and dishwasher. Lots of attention from Cylma and Hyacinthe lemon juice bread milk for my kids in addition to fruit. i highly recommend this host. easy to access and easy to park. Available and very attentive. Bed bedroom sofa air conditioning it has absolutely everything. and located about 10 min from the reed and not too far from the beautiful falls of Trafalgar. Many thanks to Cylma and Hyacinthe thank you and thank you especially for hosting my family. I will return without hesitation.

Very convenient apartment, very close to the bay front and town. There was a bottle of water, tea, coffee, seasoning, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. It was a bit noisy due to high traffic. AC works perfectly fine and the bed was comfortable. The view was very nice too. I had a great stay and I recommend.

The apartment was great,I was concern with the restaurant underneath, but never was an issue the sound of the river minimized any unwelcome sound . The apartment had all the convenient, close to town but far enough, We are divers 5 minutes from the dive shop,and mourad got the right guides for our tours,his wife bake the most delicious meditarrean syrian food.it was a treat. We ate at the restaurant was very good very relax place.

If you book a stay at JnoBaptiste’s, I recommend stopping at the grocery store in Roseau before checking-in. If you’re a morning coffee person, be certain to grab instant coffee for yourself because there isn’t a coffee maker in the property. While JnoBaptiste’s property is minimal in it’s amenities, you have the Caribbean Sea directly in front of you and many of the island’s unique destinations are within a reasonable drive (40-60 minutes) from the property. Staying in Scotts Head is a particularly attractive option if you’re hoping to see whales or you’re visiting to snorkel or dive. JnoBaptiste was super responsive and quick to make recommendations or answer questions. He connected us with his nephew, Keds, who offers boat charters through Dominica Water Tours. It was very helpful to follow JnoBaptiste’s recommendations. In general, it’s a no frills rental property, but the beauty of Dominica is at your door step. Everyone in the village was very friendly and hospitable.

Absolutely, stunning house felt safe. Wonderful neighbors, incredibly helpful property manager Nathan to help us find our way from the airport. Perfect views with great local food. I couldn't have asked for a better spot to stay. Will definitely be back.

Home was clean and welcoming with all the necessary equipment. It was close to the city, grocery and sights such as the river and beaches. Public transportation was easily accessible. Host provided cold, refreshing drinks as part of our welcome which was greatly appreciated.

We had a pleasant stay. The apartment is very clean, spacious and well equipped. It is also located next to a main axis. The village is quiet and peaceful. Hosts are super welcoming and attentive. I really recommend it. Thanks to Sarah, Karine and Daniel.

Our days at Casablanca were simply perfect! Very friendly and helpful hosts, who not only welcomed us warmly but also provided us with great tips. Casablanca is perfectly situated for excursions to the island - from here you can easily reach all the many places worth seeing! The house has a breathtaking view of the sea, is very well equipped, clean and simply cosy! Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mango Dream! It was so peaceful, beautiful, and private. The view from the deck, looking down on the town, was amazing. We enjoyed beautiful rainbows most mornings. Valarie was very helpful and accommodating to any need we had. The house looked just like the pictures and was a wonderful, cozy retreat. The road to the house is a learning curve, but we found that ALL of the roads on Dominica are a learning curve! We got used to it. Thank you, Valarie, for the opportunity to stay at your home. 😊

This is an amazing stay in a beautiful home tucked into the hillside of soufriere. The bed is big and comfortable. The AC gives a nice relief from the mid day heat. Plenty of space to organize your belongings and just the most spectacular view of Soufriere and the bay! You won’t want to miss a single sunset. Would 11/10 recommend!

We had wonderful stay at Webster and Frieda’s! They are the most gracious hosts! They were there for any questions (and we had many!), but also respected our privacy. The space itself was very clean and comfortable, and the views were amazing! We did not cook, but the kitchen had everything one would need to prepare meals. The location was great. Within walking distance to restaurants and grocers, and a quick drive to local attractions. We left Callibishie and Webster and Frieda’s feeling more like friends than guests! We can’t to return!

Our stay at this Airbnb was extremely satisfying. The place was immaculately clean, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The host was absolutely amazing—responsive, friendly, and full of fantastic recommendations. We especially appreciated being introduced to some wonderful local restaurants and people.

Laron was very helpful when we arrived, he told us somewhere to go with wifi to wait for him so that he could take us to the apartment as it’s quite tucked away. The location was beautiful and quiet, the apartment had everything we needed including a washing machine and lines to hang our clothes which was very helpful. The guava, avocado and mango in the garden also meant breakfasts were free and delicious. Laron was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home and we’d love to stay again.
