Lake house holiday rentals in Portage Lakes

The home was exactly as described (including photos). Since we are from the area, we knew Portage Lakes is a great/quiet/beautiful area. Leslie did a wonderful job updating the home. Moring coffee to evening nightcaps, the decks provided an incredible atmosphere! We will be looking for this home every time we return to Ohio (o matter what the season)! Thanks for a great stay!!

Traveling from Texas for a funeral and we needed a calm peaceful location to relax and visit family and friends - this location surpassed our expectations. The views of the snow on a partial frozen lake with ducks and Canadian geese mixed with the morning glow of the sun rises sipping coffee are memories that will soothe my soul. Plenty of space for my grandson to crawl around and the washer and dryer was a bonus. We didn't have the energy to look at the game room till day thee, however, we had a few records set for some of us and a huge couch was nearby to relax and watch the shenanigans unfold. Thanks for sharing this property with us - we hope to be back in Ohio and would definitely enjoy staying again.

My husband and I couldn’t have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary weekend! The hose was clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. The location with lake view was amazing! Loved the porch and spent a lot of time there. Loved the neighborhood. Everyone was so friendly. The weather was beautiful so we really enjoyed being able to be outside at the lake, take walks together, enjoy sunsets and mornings and evenings on the porch. I would definitely go there again!

The house was perfect for our crew to relax in after a long days work at the splash pad in Aurora. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was great.

Property is very spacious. Lots of storage closets. Host has clear attention and appreciation to detail with decorations. Back massager chair was a huge plus. Yard was enclosed with opening view to water. Very peaceful environment. Internet works great for school and some online gaming. Host is very attentive to yard maintenance and quick to respond to any concerns. Great for working traveler with family.

The yellow door house is perfect - everything you’d need or want for an easy and relaxing stay! Great communication from the host, and thoughtful conveniences throughout. Great choice if looking for some lake time!

This was a lovely stay. Check-in/out were very efficient with clear instructions, and it was easy to communicate with the host. The house itself is beautiful as pictured with a very neat layout. We enjoyed taking the canoes on the lake, the very clean hot tub, and lounging on the large sofa and watching a movie. Highly recommend!

Julie was very helpful & accommodating. The home decor was lovely. We stayed the week of Christmas & she decorated the house for Christmas, including a tree, so our experience of staying away from home during Christmas felt festive, warm and cozy. I was impressed with the house, it was very roomy & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked (had everything we needed, including PT & hand soap). She even provided a snack basket & some bottles of water in the fridge. We had our dog with us & she provided a dog's water bowl & even towels to wipe the dog's feet. There is a fenced-in back yard. There was a TV in the living room & in each bedroom. The bathrooms were stocked with TP, towels, hand soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, & a hair dryer. Julie was very quick to respond to any questions I had, both before our stay & during our stay. Access to lake is great. The neighborhood wasn't particularly visually appealing, but I would stay there again and would recommend to others.

We traveled from Florida to Ohio to visit family and friends, and stayed in this great place in Portage Lakes. It was close to everything we needed, and at the same time felt very private because of the lush surroundings.

super clean and cute on the inside. thankful for the colored porch lights. my only wish is that with it being such a hot week the a.c. would have been on prior to arrival. but overall a great stay ❤️

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

Property was great for a group of colleagues on a work trip. Definitely will be staying again if in the area. Host was extremely fast at communicating.

Had great time nice place little pricey but ok and would loved to come back

A group of my friends and I rented the home for one night to host our 5th Murder Mystery Game and we were blown away with how perfect this place was for it! We had plenty of space for the food we brought and everyone had a place to stay to sleep. It was nice and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. Some of my friends can get a little loud during these events, which is exactly why we chose this place for the lack of quiet hour restrictions. The space was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we would need, even cookies for us to enjoy upon arrival (which were delicious). A lot of us discussed possibly returning during the summer because we loved it so much!

A very comfortable and convenient place to stay in the Portage lakes. Everything was as advertised and the communication was excellent!

Nick is a wonderful host! Myself and a few friends stayed at the home for a wedding at the Tudor House which was a quick drive away. The property is in a quiet neighborhood and very close to the water. Nick was very responsive regarding a few changes before our stay. Highly recommend!

So fortunate to have another great stay at The Wahoo. This is a place you can count on to be as described. Cathy is a gracious host and an excellent communicator. I will be back to the area next summer and hopefully will be able to book another stay with my family.

We stayed the month of October and experienced the peak of the fall colors, which made the beautiful views of the lake from the living room and both bedrooms even better. Our host was very attentive and responded right away if we had any questions. We look forward to staying again next time we are in the area.

What a great place to visit!! Everything was clean and neat and Haley was very sweet and got back to me with everything I needed and any questions that I had…. We were very comfortable with our stay and the beds were comfy as well. It was close to restaurants and a grocery store. I highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to come back !!
