Wonderful stay, highly recommend!

Great amenities. Dirk was extremely responsive and gave great recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The beach is directly across the street. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a market to grab last minute/forgotten items. Don't miss Cafe Mar Azul, the food is fantastic and inexpensive. There's a surf shack next door where you can rent surf boards and book excursions. Very safe area. The house was very roomy, clean, and comfortable. We'd book this location again if we vacation in Costa Rica again in a heartbeat.

LOVED IT. Be prepared - this is a beach bungalow. Scorpion in the bathroom, ants coming inside, tiny snake on the deck... but they were all harmless. If you're up for it, you get an amazing stay on a beautiful beach! The view is stunning as the house stand on a little hill, the beach down the hill (20 seconds walk) is very private except for a few neighbors walking by, and surfers a little further on the beach. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, each with their own air conditioning. The tiny kitchen was perfect and we had our breakfast on the bench staring over the ocean, with a beautiful blue bird flying around, and an iguana on a tree 💚 The deck felt like a perfect outdoor living room. The hosts made sure we arrived well and had everything, gave us recommendations in the area and helped us find the best road to our next spot. I wished we would've stayed a little longer to explore the beach more. Thank you so much!!!

Great value right on the beach. The property is beautiful with several other cabins for rent as well so would be great for a larger group or extended family trip. The cabin is rustic as described but was well stocked and air conditions in the bedrooms worked well. Easy walk to alot of restuarants.

Lovely spot to spend a few days. Great location not too far from a beautiful beach. Ruslan was very responsive and helpful giving us a ride to the bus station upon departure. And helped to find transportation for us upon arrival. Highly recommend!

Caroline is very responsive and friendly. The cabina is easily accessible and Caroline leaves you be to enjoy your stay. If you need her, she is there. It’s a very nice accommodation.

Very comfortable place, close to very nice places such as Tamarindo, Brasilito, Avellanas. I would definitely go this place again. The house is very comfortable, private pool, many other amenities.

We recently stayed at this beachfront home in Potrero, Costa Rica, and it brought back memories of the charming beach houses we rented over 20 years ago while traveling through Central America. This house is nothing fancy but perfectly functional, clean, and located right on the beach—you can walk straight to the water, which was a highlight of our stay. The host was prompt and clear with their communications, making the whole process smooth. Directions were excellent, and the house was easy to find. Potrero itself is a small, quiet village with great vibes. We enjoyed the convenience of having many restaurants within walking distance and a couple of supermercados nearby that provided all we needed. One downside was the lack of hot water, which might be a consideration for some travelers, but it didn’t detract significantly from our experience. Overall, we had a very nice stay, and the home met our expectations. We'd rate it somewhere between a 4 and 5 out of 5. If you're looking for

We can't say enough nice things about Maria's place! Gorgeous setting, immaculately clean, well maintained, great layout, comfy furniture, perfect pool, stunning views! We arrived after dark and as others have mentioned, made it hard to find, but once we did it was very easy to get in. The grounds are well lit and Jasmina was onsite to greet us and show us around. We awoke to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees on the grounds - super cool to be able to see them right outside our door. The ocean access has amazing trees so you can enjoy the beach in the shade. The housekeeper and gardeners were there almost daily and kept everything SPARKLING during our stay! We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed including plentiful containers for leftovers. The beds were on the firm side, which is our only negative. We had a group of three generations including college kids and a young family with a toddler and everyone was happy and well accommodated!

David is an amazingly host! Very responsive and helpful. The house is well situated and an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. The house was well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies.

Our family loved the location of Casa Circa Del Mar, it is wonderful being so close to the beach and not having to drive all the time . We also enjoyed the pool so much and had many wonderful meals outside on the Veranda . The house was amazing with so much space and has everything you need. The Host was very kind and always available and responsive. We were celebrating an 80th Birthday and she had decorations and candles for us which was very sweet.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Pipa! The home was exactly as advertised. Iris was so easy to work with; helped with dinner reservations. Excellent guide/resource book emailed prior to arrival. Manfred the local house manager was so nice to work with, orient us to the home, and make us feel welcome immediately. We enjoyed Manfred's homemade pastries; so delicious! The home is very clean and comfortable. We found the beds and pillows very comfortable. So private and the private beach access was just magical! Was so nice to go through the gate, walk a beautiful little forest path, to find the amazing beach and Pacific ocean!!! Any questions; answered immediately. Just a total chill place for ultimate relaxation while being able to walk the neighborhood and enjoy the lovely small restaurants and market. We didn't rent a car and didn't feel the need for one. Our driver brought us to the supermarket before our arrival so we had everything we needed; the home, pool, beach!! Thank you!!!

We had a splendid stay, thoroughly enjoyed our days. The property seems quiet And peaceful even though it is situated with an urbanization. Beautiful views, comfortable and luxurious feel to the house itself and super well-equipped outdoor space. Rich coast were great all the way through even going above and beyond making sure we could get into the house on super short notice. Will return happily!

Our stay at Jarrod’s place was incredible! Best vacation house you could ask for. Perfect location right on the beach but still super private. Having a swimming pool right on the ocean is about as good as it gets, we usually spend most of our vacation time at the beach but this house was so great we wound up spending more time by the pool. Also the house is stocked very well, everything an Airbnb/rental house should have this house has. Jarrod was very accommodating and helped us with transportation and Covid testing at the house. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the Playa Negra area! We will definitely be coming back!

This property is in a great location. Safe neighborhood.The Greatful hotel across the street is very convenient, we got our boat taxi from there to go over to Tamarindo. We’ve discovered all the Resturant owners and workers in the area are all so helpful and the food is very good at all of them. The villa was spacious for the 9 of us and everyone had their own private bathroom. Air conditioning in the rooms was perfect! Kristi the manager was very responsive during our stay and hooked us up with whatever we needed! You must go to tamarindo and get an hour massage on the beach for $30! We did this multiple days and was so worth it!! We loved the iguanas and monkeys and all the interesting critters we encountered! Those giant grasshoppers are quite annoying if they land on you but we would laugh every time it happened. Don’t second guess this place, it’s amazing!!

A very spacious house, in an excellent location. The beach is a beautiful and the sunsets are magical. Ideal to go with family and children. Close to everything, but at the same time super private. Would come back without hesitation

We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again. The house is in the perfect location- a short walk to town and just steps from the beach. We also all fell in love with Missy. She is the sweetest dog. The owners are very responsive to any questions. They met us there to check in and even messaged me with restaurant and grocery store recommendations.

This place was absolutely perfect for our surfing trip!! Private beach access, beautiful yard looking out to the ocean and spacious home. The hostess was responsive and communicative and very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. I hate to write this review as I don’t want anyone else to know about the place as I would like to keep it to ourselves next year. ☺️. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here. Absolutely a wonderful place and wonderful hosts!!

Our multigenerational family had a memorable week at Casa Palmera. Staying directly on the beach is magical, especially at sunset. This beautiful house was easy to settle into and equipped with everything you could need for a vacation. In particular, we appreciated the ensuite bathrooms and beautiful outdoor spaces. Shawna is a wonderful communicator who truly cares about her guests and her community. The Casa Palmera team is unparalleled. Tatiana prepared plentiful and delicious meals. Johnny and Marco took wonderful care of the property and us. We are already planning our return. Thank you for everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golden Sunset Villa. The deck, pool, and view were highlights. Robyn was always prompt in her communication and frequently checked in to see if we needed anything. The interior was spacious and lovely. We were challenged finding the unit, but it was because the resort has signage that is misleading. When checking in, perhaps ask if one of the shuttle drivers can show you the way. Would definitely stay here again.

The house & location are amazing, you literally feel like you have your own beach in the middle of paradise, but also all of the conveniences you need like a variety restaurants, grocery store, convenience stores and even a hardware store are only less than a 5 minute drive away. The baby turtle sanctuary is only a 5 minute drive away and we got to see one of my bucket lists, we got to release baby turtles and watch them waddle their way to the ocean! The whole house had a water filter and reverse osmosis water so we were able to have safe and wonderful drinking water the entire trip and saved loads of money just refilling our water w/ regular cheap water bottles that we bought day one some of us brought our Yeti/Stanley cups. The pool is a perfect dip pool for when you get hot, and at low tide, which is everyday. The smooth sandy beach is a dream! We looked at tons of other beachfront properties but this was the only one that actually had a sandy swimmable beach! House is perfect!

This is a beautiful and secluded spot away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo, but close enough to be walkable and convenient. The beach club is a bit further than we thought, not adjacent to the property, but really nice. The condo is very well appointed and comfortable. They leave terrific recommendations for food and the managers were very helpful when we locked ourselves out by accident.
