Great house for a large group or family vacation

Pictures don’t quite do Villa Lou Lou justice, the sunsets will stop you in your tracks. We entered the villa felt the peacefulness, the landscape & design of the place is stunning & perfect for families. The location is amazing & playa grande beach was by far the best beach around. We were able to go for a morning walk to get a few groceries if needed or a quick drive to local groceries. Be sure to step out the back doors in the mornings to hear the howler monkeys. Claire was a very helpful host with recommendations for things to do around the area. We’ll be back forsure!

This property is in a great location. Safe neighborhood.The Greatful hotel across the street is very convenient, we got our boat taxi from there to go over to Tamarindo. We’ve discovered all the Resturant owners and workers in the area are all so helpful and the food is very good at all of them. The villa was spacious for the 9 of us and everyone had their own private bathroom. Air conditioning in the rooms was perfect! Kristi the manager was very responsive during our stay and hooked us up with whatever we needed! You must go to tamarindo and get an hour massage on the beach for $30! We did this multiple days and was so worth it!! We loved the iguanas and monkeys and all the interesting critters we encountered! Those giant grasshoppers are quite annoying if they land on you but we would laugh every time it happened. Don’t second guess this place, it’s amazing!!

We can't say enough nice things about Maria's place! Gorgeous setting, immaculately clean, well maintained, great layout, comfy furniture, perfect pool, stunning views! We arrived after dark and as others have mentioned, made it hard to find, but once we did it was very easy to get in. The grounds are well lit and Jasmina was onsite to greet us and show us around. We awoke to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees on the grounds - super cool to be able to see them right outside our door. The ocean access has amazing trees so you can enjoy the beach in the shade. The housekeeper and gardeners were there almost daily and kept everything SPARKLING during our stay! We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed including plentiful containers for leftovers. The beds were on the firm side, which is our only negative. We had a group of three generations including college kids and a young family with a toddler and everyone was happy and well accommodated!

Really enjoyed Maitri. It’s an amazing option for staying in Tamarindo. Away from the crowds and access to the beach and pool club was a really great perk.

Wow! What an incredible place. We loved it! Great value. The pool is fantastic. The architecture is amazing. Fabrice was a perfect host! I’d absolutely come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at Kaya Villas. Host was very helpful and responsive. Surroundings were gorgeous, we even got to see some monkeys in the trees! Super walkable to the beach and amazing places to eat. Local artisan market on Fridays that was nice if you like shopping. Only 30 min from Tamarindo if you like the bustle of the city. Thanks Andre and Gabriela!

We had a great time at Julia's house and everything was flawless, from the initial communication to check-out. Julia's place is well appointed, very clean and exceptionally quiet with an awesome view. Kevin was great and checked us in and took care of us for the week and always available for any questions or recommendations. Would highly recommend a stay at Julia's for as long as you can. Thanks again and hopefully we will be back soon.

The home was beautiful and well maintained. Dana, Melissa and Cris were great and always available. They assisted with booking an ATV tour and estuary tour. Dana was a great cook and housekeeper (she even helped my daughter with some math homework!).

What an amazing place! We were a group of 10 adults and 4 babies, and stayed for one week. The place was exactly as described - it was clean and comfortable and was perfect for our large group. The hosts were super friendly and responsive and assisted us in organizing airport transfers, golf carts, and dinner with the private chef. The location is great - in a quiet gated community, just a 5 min drive to the main beach and area of Tamarindo. I would recommend staying here.

Casa Palmas was everything we hoped for, and more. Beautiful scenery, and even the walk from the street to the house was stunning. Beach access was quick and easy. Staff was friendly when we met them. Layout was efficient and worked fine for us (two couples) but likely would be better for a family. The PERFECT set-up (and we are not complaining AT ALL) would have been two matching master suites with a tag-along 3rd bedroom. Just a head's up as it was clear in the write-up and pics but we had somewhat "hoped" the 2nd bedroom would be a bit more like the master (so, user error, not an error by our host at all). We hope to rebook for next year - that is the finest recommendation I can give a property (That we want to return again). Kudos and 5-stars all around

We had a wonderful stay with 8 guests. The house is exactly as it appears in the photos, organized with 3 primary bedrooms around the central pool area. There is a fourth bedroom with 4 bunk beds. All of the bedrooms have their own bath/shower areas. The large living area has a big glass door that slides open to create an indoor/outdoor experience. We loved having breakfast prepared each day. We thought it might not be needed every day. However, after the first day, we decided it was too good to pass up, allowing us to relax every morning around the pool, drinking delicious coffee until the food was prepared. We would also highly recommend having a golf cart. It was delivered prior to our arrival and made trips in and out of town super easy. The location of the house is great. You can access either Playa Longosta or Playa Tamarindo through gates that are short walk from the house. The folks at the front gate to the neighborhood can give you the code. Overall, this is a great house!

Katerina and Seven were wonderful and very responsive to any of our needs. We were family of 6 that rented 2 villas. The villas were beautiful and provided all of the amenities we needed. The location of the actual villa is in an area that is not fully developed but some beautiful homes are in the neighborhood that are being built. We would have liked to be closer to the beach but all was still in walking distance. Having access to the Langosta Beach Club is a great perk and we went there daily. There is lots to do with restaurants, shops, beach all nearby. We were so appreciative that Katerina managed to find us a golf cart to rent when we couldn’t get one anywhere. This made traveling around easier but you can still manage without one. We absolutely loved Tamarindo and hope to be back again. Katerina gave us may suggestions to make our stay even better with restaurants and things to do. We would recommend Maitri for your Tamarindo vacation!

I will start off by saying that Vanessa & Audrey were fantastic hosts. This beautiful house was exactly as shown in the pictures - clean - everything in working order - very comfortable inside and outside by the pool. I would love to stay here again. Vanessa & Audrey completely helped to secure all of our activities - our transportation to the activities along with airport shuttles. For our family it worked out best to just hire these shuttles as we were a family with 7 adults and 1 pre-teen. We found the rates to be very reasonable and our driver was the same fellow each day. He could not have been a safer driver and always so kind. We rented golf carts and this was wonderful to be able to come and go to the Beach Club - which also was a wonderful spot to surf/eat/and swim by the pool. We highly suggest dinner at the El Mercadito de Tamarindo Food & Cocktail Market - it was wonderful and alot of fun for all in the group. TEN STARS FOR HOUSE/VANESSA/AUDREY~!!!!!!!!

Nathalie and Nico were fantastic hosts. The home genuinely looks exactly like the pictures. We were met at check in and walked through the house, it was very clean and well stocked, and the location was an average of 5 minutes (by Uber) from many, many restaurants and outings. It fit 6 adult women comfortably and we all felt safe. Nathalie even stopped by on my actual birthday with a card, candle, and small pastry which was incredibly thoughtful. The only real downsides were the power and water outages. There were 2 of each in the week we were there. All of these events were resolved within about an hour or less, with the longest issue being the water stopping for about 3 hours the morning we were leaving. These issues were out of their control, but just something to keep in mind. There were also a lot of tiny crabs?? Very non-threatening (coming from someone who does NOT do bugs) but again, just something to note. Overall I would recommend this home to anyone visiting Tamarindo.

Stephanie and David were excellent hosts. They were easy to reach throughout the stay if we had a question and also helped us with great recommendations around Playa Grande. The garden is exactly as seen in the pictures but we had not realized how much we would enjoy the shaded area and the pool at peak sun times during the day. The location is also great as you can easily walk to the fruit and vegetable market (5mins) coffee shops and bakery (7 mins) and if you’re up for it you can also easily walk to the beach (20mins). The place has excellent internet (if you plan on needing it) laundry on site and easy parking. It was also very quiet with no construction nearby and lots of birds and howler monkey sounds in the morning. We absolutely loved our stay at Stephanie’s home and would not hesitate to go back. Also - Playa Grande sunsets are the best!

Our stay at Ian's was as described. The place was well stocked with kitchen appliances/dishes, beach towels, coffee. The a/c kept the place very comfortable in the hot weather. We didnt use pool much, but itwas very niceto dip in after a day at the beach. Check-in - We were delayed in getting car info to Ian so the guards at gate werent expecting us. It def doesnt help that we do not know any spanish, which is our fault. Fortunately, we figured it out very quickly due to Ian's very prompt responses to our messages. I would recommend a 4x4 if you can as the roads past Santa Rosa are a bit bumpy, but again, to be expected, especially right after the rainy season costa rica had this year. We were within 1/2 hr drive to several beaches which was why were there and enjoyed ourselves immensly.

The view was everything! We loved watching the sunset every night and just hanging out in the backyard spotting monkeys in the trees. You definitely need a four-wheel drive to get to the house. But you get used to it. Host was extremely friendly and responsive. There was an adorable outdoor cat who liked to have company. Seriously the views are spectacular and you don’t want to miss out. So peaceful and away from everything.

I just loved the place and the condominium where it is located! The house is perfect for two couples or two couples with two kids (since one of the bedrooms has two couple bars). It is spacious with a nice American style kitchen, two full bathrooms, a marvelous terrace and the most gorgeous sunset view ever: you may watch the sunset Literally from the sofa of your terrace! About location: the best ever! You are just a few steps from what I consider one of the best and most beautiful beaches of Guanacaste! And you are also close to several nice restaurants of the region. I would (and will) stay here another thousand times!

We had a great stay, the villa is on the outskirts of Tamarindo which was really nice but easy to walk or take the golf cart into town. Cala Luna hotel adjacent to the villa was great and we ate there a lot. Angelica was very helpful setting up activities and shuttles to and from the airport. The Villa had everything we needed.

Beautiful place, safe quiet, excellent location and super attentive hosts. 100% recommended.
