Nice beautiful house located away from the city and in a very peaceful location. The host and his mother was always responsive, friendly and ensured that our stay was memorable. The host arranged the transportation for our local sight seeing. The rooms were neat and clean and exactly matched the description. Nice place to stay.

Stayed for 2 days, Mr. Kish was very friendly person and responses were very quick from his side, and Care taker Ramesh is super proactive, very nice guy and supportive, our checkin and checkout went very smoothly, place is extremely nice and very calm, peaceful and private. Very nice place for family get together parties and for friends and any kind of events. Very big bungalow and nice greenery around. Overall our stay at retreat was super awesome. Thanks to host Kish and care taker Ramesh .

We had a sudden plan on a long weekend and found this place through the App. What caught our eyes was the scenic beauty of the place and surroundings. As described in the picture it was more beautiful at the location. Very serene , calm and peaceful place. Host was very accommodating with the early check-in and late check out. Please don't expect a lavish hotel type arrangements with all the amenities. But worth the stay, kind of Rustic in nature for explorers and nature enthusiast. Kitchen amenities are plenty and you might love to cook your meal and enjoy in the Nature. Wifi and Power backup was throughout our stay. Ashwin was very helpful and prompt with the services which made it more pleasant. Mr Zacaria was also in constant touch during our stay for any needs. We visited the nearest beach on day one, water falls on the next day and a forest trek in early morning to close. Overall a lovely stay and breathtaking scenic views from the location. Very remote and un touristic a magical place. The beach house is sandwiched between a seemingly endless golden sand beach 35kms long and the calm of the backwater. Bicycles rides and boat trips recommended. Doc’s sense of intrinsic beauty and craftsmanship is evident in the 4 homes on the island that he has restored with an artists eye for detail. He was very welcoming and helpful with planning and organisation. We also had great conversations. Theyyam rituals are a must. We were lucky to see the dancing with fire. Otherwise my favorite things were evening Kayaking at sunset to the mangroves and early morning swimming & bird watching in the back water. It’s worth also checking the peacock house on the backwater side, it sleeps 4. I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming heritage property hosted by the warm and welcoming Sahil and Sobha. Their hospitality was exceptional, and the highlight was undoubtedly the delicious home-cooked meals they prepared with love. The hosts, both talented artists, have beautifully infused their creative essence into the house, making it a true reflection of their personalities. Situated next to serene backwaters, the property offers breathtaking views of the sunrise in the morning—a perfect start to the day. Adding to the charm is a swimming pool on the premises, surrounded by lush greenery, coconut trees, vibrant plants, and a picturesque fountain. The heritage elements in the décor were captivating, making the stay an unforgettable blend of tradition, art, and nature. Highly recommended for anyone seeking tranquility and authentic experiences.

Room is clean and neat with super silent air conditioner, wardrobe with locker and cloth hangers, bedside tables, dressing table, spongy bed with multiple pillows and extra bed in case required. Washroom is clean with hot water and other amenities. Kitchen equipped with all appliances and essential consumables, compact dining arrangement. Inverter & ironing facility also available. Near to Bakel fort and beaches. Thrikkannapuram Thriambakeswara temple. On the bank of Bakel river. Cultivated coconut, arecanut & other fruit plant. An upcoming farm is a good view. Complementary breakfast is served, lunch & dinner to be managed by the guests. Nearby restaurant contacts are made available at the villa. Hospitality is fantastic throughout the stay and reachable over phone at any time for any assistance.

we really had a great time staying here.The fully furnished apartment is awesome in terms of its layout/amenities and ofcourse the wide sea view from the 7th floor. Its well ventilated with attached bathroom with all the 3 double beded rooms, well enough to acomodate a group of 6 people. The host is really humble and made sure to help us in all aspects.Its really worth staying here if someone is planning for a nice vacation in Kannaur.Thanks

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Villa Avni. The villa was clean, tastefully designed and furnished, and had all amenities we needed. The kitchen had refrigerator, stove top, and was stocked with pots and pans that allowed us to make light meals and tea/coffee as needed. Our host, Naren, was very hospitable and tended to any requests we had immediately. He offered to show us around, though we could not take up the offer. The highlight though was proximity to the beach - we could easily walk up to it in mornings, evenings and even after dinner. It was beautiful and the section of the beach was mostly empty except for a few locals.

Very beautiful cosy place, close to the city centre and the beach. The host, Mus, was extremely helpful and accommodating. Definitely a home in kannur, will visit again!
