Holiday rentals with beach access in Owls Head

I love Maine's working waterfront and even though my stay was in the off season there was a wonderful glimpse into our fishing economy and the hard work it takes to keep it happening. The quality of light in the unit was amazing, and viewing the moon across the water was stunning. Easy to access all that the midcoast has to offer within an easy ride, to Rockland and Damariscotta and Boothbay and Wiscasset -- my favorite spots. Beautiful places nearby to hike and explore. Onsite staff people Debbie and Blair were wonderful; when I had an issue with the internet -- it was fixed quickly. Unit was well equipped for a person who loves to cook. Also having a bathtub in a waterfront apartment was a plus since many don't have them. Clean, comfortable, safe-feeling -- all one could want in a Maine coastal vacation. Wish I could have stayed longer but instead I'll just plan to go back again.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at David and Kate's place. The location was in a quiet, residential neighborhood, which was just our speed. The spot is only a 5-10 minute drive to so many beaches, and lots of places to eat or get groceries, as well. I can imagine this being a wonderful place in summertime, too! We loved the large, cozy upstairs bedroom area the most. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and all of the amenities were just as described. The kitchen area was very well equipped; we lacked nothing. My favorite part though was the artful decor. It wasn't overly "beachy" themed, and while that can certainly be done well, it can also be overdone. It's clear that David and Kate take pride in making their dwelling feel classy and cozy. Overall, a great find!

We ended up visiting during a terrible winter storm when the city actually shut down due to ice. Vanessa made sure it was easy to find the entrance and managed the ice that built up quickly to make it safe for us to venture out with our toddler to enjoy to snow. The surprise best part was the water pressure in the shower. Maybe niche but it was great especially after exploring in the cold. Would love to visit again in the summer to enjoy the quick walk to the promenade.

We had an amazing stay at Adilah’s location. Beautiful views from the house. Everything was close enough either to have a nice long walk or to Uber. Her place was just as described and we felt very welcome! Amazing location for a group or family vacation.

Loved staying here! It's a very short walk to Kettle Cove State Park and Crescent Beach. Cape Elizabeth is a charming, quiet little town. If you're looking for a peaceful relaxing getaway spot, this is it. You'll feel right at home. Plus the hosts are very responsive and friendly. I'm already thinking about when I can return!

Great apartment in a very walkable part of Portland, a perfect location for exploring the city. It was clean & spacious with a very comfortable bed and we appreciated the off-street parking. The owner Jeff and his wife are very friendly and served us a fantastic meal at their small brewpub downstairs. I normally wouldn’t choose a rental above a pub, but theirs closes at 9pm every night, so noise wasn’t an issue at all. Would highly recommended this unit for a stay in Portland.

Great spot in Owl's Head. Super quiet and has a nice dedicated parking spot. Blue door makes it easy to spot, but be aware because Google maps seems to want to take you past the house. The kitchen was well stocked and the living space is comfortable. Would love to have an ottoman for the chairs (I'm a little short) but no real complaints. You can hear the ocean sometimes and the neighbors are friendly. Had a great stay.

All i can say is. If you see it available, take advantage!! We stayed during snow storm! We were at peace! Its what my wife and I needed. The pictures dont do justice. You wont be disappointed at all! The Sun rise directly in front of you as you lay was beyond amazing. All my worries in my life were gone, when i stayed there.

Our family loved our stay here, plenty of space to spread out and a well appointed kitchen for cooking. We loved paddling around the cove in the two kayaks.

The house is stunning. I stayed here for a work trip. The location and the ambience were perfect to get my work done. I wish I had more time to explore the beach area. But my booking coincided with a lovely snow fall. The house is very cozy. The hosts were very responsive to all of my questions. The interior decor is lovely. And I slept really well on the master bedroom bed. I’d love to know the brand the mattress is. Thank you so much. I look forward to returning on a leisure trip when the weather is warmer. But the snow is absolutely lovely.

It would be an understatement to say that I LOVED Greg's place! The house was so unique and architecturally fun - I felt like a little kid arriving and exploring, as did my 6 yr old! It was a perfect spot for a winter getaway and I can imagine it would be equally beautiful in any season. The house was so comfortable and light filled, with great woods/water views and beach access. We loved hanging on the huge couch reading, playing games and watching movies! Just a few notes - while the kitchen was very pleasant to cook in and totally fine for basic meal prep, it's not the best stocked with tools for serious cooking. Bedrooms were also very comfortable, each with their own bathroom too, and great for our family of three, but I probably wouldn't come back with friends or extended family as there's not much sound privacy between the house and bedrooms, as the upstairs bedroom has a direct opening into the living spaces. All in all we loved it though and can't wait to return!

This is a beautiful home located in the woods on a bay! If you don't mind being away from towns and crowds, this is the place. The location was relaxing and the views are spectacular. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking. We packed picnic lunches and took off each day to explore Acadia National Park. We came home each night and cooked dinners. The grill was clean and ready to use. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the house. We would definitely love to come back in the future.

We had an amazing stay! Susan and Kurt’s home was beautiful. The view was absolutely stunning, it was so pleasant waking up to ocean views every morning! We had such a nice and relaxing New Years with family.

WOWW where do I begin? Hands Down The BEST airbnb we’ve ever stayed in!! Architecturally gorgeous, soothing colors, huge windows, beautiful art work, REAL plants, lots of storage, well appointed and fully stocked! It was our first time staying on a Marsh - the View was constantly changing with the tide ❤️ Ralda was very forthcoming with local recommendations for seafood, a local gourmet market and restaurant suggestions. She was beyond gracious, leaving a lovely bottle of Champagne to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We were lucky enough to be here during a snow storm - fire place was glowing, wine was flowing, delicious local provisions, gorgeous views (from every window) and a beautiful kitchen island big enough for puzzling - how cozy!!! My small business is run remotely - the ocean view office had stunning views and was very quaint & homey with many family memories ❤️ I’m re-booking!! Thank you, Ralda, for graciously sharing your beautiful home. You are a class act!

This was our family’s second stay at the Bay House. We love the ever-changing views from the picture windows and watching the various birds fly about. We enjoyed using the included beach pass to the state park, but were also comfortable staying in to play board games on the one rainy day we had. I’m sure we’ll be back to visit Popham Beach in the future!

Unit was very clean, situated in a quiet residential area and within walking distance to many of Portland's best bars, restaurants and attractions. Host was communicative and provided clear guidance on check-in/-out procedures and offered up suggestions to local attractions. On my recommended list - dinner at Twelve (one of the best restaurants in the US, IMHO); on-site food truck tacos washed down with a Hazy IPA at Bellflower or Austin Street Brewery; an everything bagel with lox & morning latte at Forage; the East Promenade for a food truck lunch, then a stroll along the waterfront trail to the port area for an ice cream cone at Gorgeous gelato; afternoon coffee at Double Great Coffee; and a post-dinner whiskey @ Independence Ice. Only downside on my visit was the upstairs neighbor. Dude clearly isn't a principal dancer in the Portland Ballet, as light on his feet wouldn't describe him. Not a stereo or TV issue - you can just hear the noise from him walking (8AM-10PM when there)

This is a lovely property! I opened the door, stepped inside briefly, and walked back to the car to tell my wife, “Wow, this place is fantastic!” Great location, plenty of light inside, and all the charm of a 150+ year old building. The heating was easy to manage, house-wide, plus the individual space heaters were a nice nighttime touch.

Incredibly clean, comfortable and conveniently located!

BEAUTIFUL landscape directly on a lake with access to fishing poles, kayaks, and canoes, we felt like we didn’t need to leave the property at all. Perfect location to visit Acadia and near by towns. I wish we could have stayed for twice as long. The condo itself seems to be brand new! The beds were comfortable and the decorations and big screen tv were a nice touch. We spent hours on the dock and in the lake (kayaks). Cannot wait to return to this slice of heaven.

Place was beautiful, very nicely decorated and comfortable. Patrick was great in his communication and hospitality. To be honest for elderly folk it is a beautiful location, great scenic views but be prepared to drive to downtown, the young do it easily while I struggled with the hills on the walk. That is no knock on Patrick, the condo nor location. Just something to prepare for if you’re planning on walking. Had a great weekend and hold no regrets staying there at all. Thank you Patrick!

We loved our stay here! The location was beautiful and the home was perfect for us. Great restaurants were only a few minutes walk away, as was a pretty walking path overlooking the ocean. Ej was such a thoughtful host, providing local recommendations, proactive communication and a great welcome. We hope to come back someday!

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, even in the snow storm he made sure we were able to travel in and out of the home. The location was perfect—close to everything yet peaceful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would love to stay again. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful location and house. There’s nothing better than sitting in the living room or front porch and being able to see the Belfast Bay. The house is very clean and neat. Beds are comfortable, shower is very hot. Don’t miss the sunrise in the mornings. Overall this is one of our favorite places we have stayed in Belfast.
