Monthly Rentals in Owenriff River

We loved staying in Kate’s beautiful cottage this is our second time and won’t be the last, we have family nearby and this little piece of heaven is so beautiful and tranquil, if you need some time to be at one with nature and forget about the busyness of life this is for you. Amazing hosts whom can’t do enough for you with great communication.

We’ve been traveling Europe for 6 months, and this was our all-time favorite stay! We got to spend Christmas at the cottage, and Pat and Mary made us feel right at home. We were greeted with scones and fires and Christmas decorations, and both Pat and Mary went out of their way to look after us and provide wonderful, local recommendations. We enjoyed visiting them at their bookshop-cafe and getting to know them throughout our stay. The cottage is incredibly cozy - comfortable beds and couches with two, large fireplaces - and the location itself was ideal. The kitchen is very well-supplied, and the showers were always warm. We could get into Galway city easily, or head deeper into Connemara to explore the Irish landscapes. Oughterard is a lovely town, and it had great restaurants and grocery shops and (of course) the bookshop-cafe! Highly recommend!

Kathleen’s place was a great base for the Connemara portion of our journey. There were several recommendations for restaurants right in town with very good food, and the house comfortably fit our four guests. The house is right on a major road, but we didn’t have any issues finding lulls in the traffic to enter/exit the property. Kathleen was also very helpful and accommodating through the whole experience!

I can't say enough about Anne's wonderful cottage! It's thoughtfully planned with matching decor and little touches that make it feel like home. The coffee, tea, eggs, fruit, milk, juice, and snacks were such a sweet touch. You can tell Anne has put a lot of thought and care into her cottage. The bed was comfortable and warm. The shower was piping hot, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The views were beautiful from every window, too! Anne is a wonderful host, and communication was A+! Thank you for an amazing stay!
