Shepherds hut holiday rentals in Northamptonshire

Wanted a peaceful and relaxed break from normality and thats exactly what we got. Fantastic shepherd hut which was nice and private with all we needed for a chilled break. Super comfy bed!! Lovely views and great hosts. Firepit,Cups of tea and a few beers with mince pies all in our little getaway. Some lovely pubs and places to eat nearby aswell. We went to The Fox and that was lovely and good service. 5 stars and would love to stay again 😊

Overall, accommodation was great and everything went well. Things that I would like to point out. List of amenities these things are not correct. 1. Carbon monoxide alarm for the fireplace. The bedroom is not operational which is a hazard. 2. Coffee machine was not there. We asked and we were kindly given a jar instant coffee. 3. Outdoor to dining area doesn't exist. there is ourdoor furniture but not a dining area. 4. Outdoor kitchen doesn't exist either. They are correct, there is a BBQ as mentioned on the amenities , but that is not a outdoor kitchen. 5. I understand there is no Wi-Fi available. Which would I was okay with as I have 50GB of data. What I was not aware is that the location is in a virtually a signal dead zone there was one spot that we had to go to , if we wanted to receive our Whats-App messages. I would see this as an important thing to mention to people. Lastly , we had the lovely couple who lived at the corner who were available when we needed to ask questions.

This has been my favourite Airbnb experience so far. Lynden and everyone at the farm were lovely, they looked after us and even put a special banner up as i had mentioned it is my birthday. Hot tub was excellent and we loved our animal neighbours. Nothing cosier than reading a book while listening to the fire crackle. I cannot wait to recommend this place to everyone :)

Perfect for our short stay in Milton Keynes, hut was lovely and was nice to have some tea and biscuit provisions. Easy check in and a beautiful area to be set up at. Hut is right next to the farm house and store. Fortunately we had no noise from either. Overall very pleased, only slight issue was that the bathroom fan wasn't working (or we couldn't work out how to turn it on) so it got very humid in there, some signs of mould but could be related to the fan so I'm sure will get fixed soon.

It was a perfect peaceful spot to escape reality for a few days - the hut is finished beautifully and was super comfortable for a couple. The surroundings were also a highlight in the winter sun. The kitchen was fully functioning and allowed us to enjoy an evening in cooking. The secluded nature of hut meant driving to every activity or restaurant but there are some great places around. The hot tub took longer than expected to heat up to a pretty mild temperature but we were staying in -5 weather and the hosts were attentive in helping with it. Overall, an ideal getaway in the country and would be happy to revisit.

Highly recommend! The hut is perfect, whilst it’s compact it has everything you need for a weekend away. The hut is truly beautiful, being both modern yet cosy, the pictures don’t do it justice. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed is extremely comfortable and the bath making the hut perfect. The hot tub is a great add. We did have a problem whilst there, due to the weather the hot water pipes to the bath were frozen, however on notifying Aneka she promptly responded, arranged for a handyman to attend within hours and very kindly offered us a shower at her home. Aneka also reheated the hot tub as a gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. The issue was no one’s fault, but Aneka went above and beyond. The area is great for walks, we used the app Komoot. If staying later at the pub there are Ubers but long waits (Aneka also offer to pick us up! A 5* host on all accounts) For a romantic picture perfect break with fantastic hosts - please book!

we had a lovely stay at Sarah Charlottes hut! pleasantly surprised by the roominess of the hut and making the most of all the space. Comfy bed and heats up the hut very quickly. bathroom facilities were very clean and great water pressure on the shower. Sarah Charlotte and her husband were very friendly, welcoming and helpful with local recomyand directions. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and peaceful surroundings. Will definitely keep this in mind for a return visit!

We had such a brilliant stay here for 2 nights. The shepherds hut was absolutely outstanding. It was extremely clean and cosy, lovely and warm even in -4°C outside temperatures. The location was perfect, quiet and peaceful. We loved having a fire and looking at the pond, standing on the floating pontoon and visiting Bertie the pig (such a cutie!). The amenities in the hut were great too. Everything we needed was available and really helped us to feel at home and relaxed. Nick out host was fantastic. He was incredibly informative, helpful and friendly. Thank you Nick for everything! We absolutely recommend staying here and definitely will come to visit again.

For a shepherd’s hut it was so well equipped, a good shower and surprisingly (to me anyway) capable oven and good size fridge means you can cook without compromise. The log burner certainly kept us warm and waking up to black sheep in snow covered fields was stunning. The directions lead us straight to where we needed to be and immediately felt comfortable. Possibly the cosiest place we’ve ever experienced. Will certainly come back in the summer! I almost don’t want to post this as I don’t want it to get booked up when we want to come back!

We had a wonderful couple of nights in Burghley Mouse. A beautiful little hut, well equipped with an extremely comfortable bed. We loved how cosy it was, with the fire and plenty of cushions and cosy furnishings. Eddie was extremely helpful to us during our stay. We will definitely be back!

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Andrew’s Shepherd’s Hut. I would easily recommend to anybody wanting a peaceful getaway. The Shepherd’s hut had everything we needed. The sauna was beautiful, and the delicious Thai buffet cooked by Oey was to die for. As it was a cold winters night, Oey was very kind and offered us a room in the barn if we got too cold - however we were so warm and cosy in the shepherds hut she shouldn’t have been worried! I look forward to staying again sometime soon!

Out of all the Air BnB’s i have been to, this has been the best one. From the quality of the hut and the area in which it lies to the hot tub which is completely worth the extra cost. Helen was really helpful and responsive to any questions we had. The hot tub was on for the entire stay so could be used without preparation which was a hi light. The hut was the highest quality i have seen and was spotless. The bed was really comfy and lovely to sleep in. Another lovely feature was a box of amenities incase anything had been forgotten. Overall, We had an amazing time and there were no negatives. We will visit again!

Thanks Amy for a wonderful stay. The cabin is beautiful and cozy and we had everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk from 2 local pubs and a bit longer drive to Stamford for shopping and exploring, and Amy helpfully provides lots of tourist information leaflets in the cabin. We really appreciated the self check in and the private setup of the cabin. Can highly recommend this place for your stay, really a home away from home 😊

This was our first stay in a Shepards Hut, but we wanted somewhere beautiful to stay in the countryside with our dog so we chose Rabbit Warren as the views are amazing and it’s 15 min drive to Stamford where we spent the day before checking in. We was worried about it being cold as the temperatures were below freezing for our stay but with the fire inside and radiators it was so warm and cosy. The hut is immaculately clean. We will be visiting again very soon.

Perfect, nothing else to add. Simply perfect for a night away alone/couple/with dog. Perfectly designed, great hot tub, good parking. A true gem.

Perfect location,had everything we needed,couldn’t ask for more . Hopefully we can come one summer to make the most of the amenities.

The shepherds hut was clean, tidy and easy to find. Bryony was attentive and quick to react when an issues were reported. These issues were at no fault of Bryony just down to the -4 temperatures we had! The hot tub was a highlight and was simple to use. Would strongly recommend! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a Beautiful stay over New years. The shepherds hut was so cosy, comfortable and warm with the log burner and underfloor heating. A Fabulous setting with picturesque views of the canal and some lovely local walks. Claire was very accommodating allowing us to check in early and leave later. Wish we could have stayed longer! We went to the Shepheards hut for NYE to get away from the hussle and bussle and it was perfect. Extremely peaceful and the surrounding were beautiful! We saw our fair share of wildlife such as Owls and Birds of Prey. The Shepheards Hut was very clean, with all amenities provided. Great attention to detail ie. they're are board games and playing cards provided and lots of informative books about the local area and wildlife. Surprisingly very spacious aswell. As a whole, we had a great time, great value for money, and would highly recommend!

Lovely Shepherds hut in great location. Peaceful and quiet and great location for travelling around the Cotswolds and close to Chipping Norton for those few essentials.

Stayed for my wife's 30th birthday, one night. It is amazing site, with lovely surroundings and it felt very private. If you want glamping it's want you get. we did however find the hot tub water dirty which had to scoop a lot of bits out, and message the owner about cigarette buds that had been left around the area as we didnt want it to look like us. They advised someone was there before us so no sure it's was thoroughly cleaned and checked before we check in. We were left bread, jam and eggs and tea which was a lovely touch. Even in January the heating inside the hut gets very hot! but there isn't any racks or anywhere to really hang towels and swim wear to dry from the hottub and shower. would definitely stay again.
