Monthly Rentals in Northampton County

This was the closest place we could find to Sylvan Heights bird park in Scotland Neck, and we are thrilled to have found it. It had all the amenities we needed, and was clean. The snacks and drinks were a great touch. My ten year old was thrilled with it. The beds were very soft and comfy.

Such a wonderful respite from our I95 trip north. Halifax is a lovely little town with tremendous charm and history. There is a fun and dog friendly pub on King street - literally a 2 minute walk from the cottage, where friendly locals gather in the early evening. Lots of fun conversations and history shared. The cottage is lovely with a huge backyard for dog exercise. While only a kitchenette, Glenn had it furnished with a well curated set of electric appliances that allow warming and preparation of meals (m/w, toaster oven, air fryer, toaster). The internet is fast and the bedroom and bathroom are very comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood (friendly neighbors) and the town including the historic site. I’d rather keep this stay a secret but cannot recommend more highly.

Cozy place and close to I 95. Worked great for resting up for second leg of our 1100 mile trip. Host was very kind and responsive. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as the coffee and creamer were a bonus, all we needed!

The surroundings were peaceful and quiet. We felt as if we had the world to ourselves. We used the lodge as a "Basecamp" for 3 days of fishing on the Roanoke River. There are 2 NC Wildlife boat ramps just minutes away. We met our host at check-in and she gave us a wonderful tour and brief history of the lodge. She made us feel very welcome and shared local information including restaurants and food stores. We enjoyed a quiet walk each morning surrounded by the sound of turkeys, geese, and cardinals. If you want to get away from the noise, this is the place! We're already making plans to return next year.
