Family-friendly holiday rentals in Nord-Fron Municipality

We had a pleasant stay in Gålå. We enjoyed sauna, whirlpool and the close access to the groomed cross country ski tracks.

A very comfortable and welcoming place to stay. Everything was beautiful. Spacious and the facilities were excellent.

The house was beautiful and felt very homely. It was easy to settle in as it was clean with all necessities available. The area around was amazing with great views and a nice friendly neighbourhood. With a ski slope outside the house, we were never bored and had lots of fun! A great place to spend some time at Christmas! The owners were very friendly and rresponded quickly to our every query. We would happy return once again :)

After a stormy crossing, we reached Gala in the most beautiful sunshine, a short dispute with the Norwegian castle, then we immediately felt at home. We had seven beautiful cross-country tours in changing sunny-cold weather and a bit of fresh snow. The cabin was always homely and warm. We would have almost stayed forever. Now, unfortunately, everyday life has come back to us. Thank you Marianne

Hans Magnar's shepherds gave us just the cabin stay we wanted - peaceful surroundings, view to great mountains in the middle of an area full of other sets. Great hiking opportunities in the area. Easy to heat the cabin with two good wood stoves and a lovely fireplace space. Hans Magnar told a lot of nice stories about the space, which is an inherited seat, which gave that little extra to the stay. Thank you so much for us!

It was a wunderfaul experience to stay in this beautifully arranged and decorated house with it´s old furniture and stuff. Carsten welcomed us with a detailed plan, showed us everything and handed us over a perfectly cleaned place with burning candles, firewood etc. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it for families looking for peace, beautiful nature and nordic skiing.

the cabin in the woods is a really authentic back to nature place when you want to find peace in a simply minimalistic way.a big lake with canoe in front of the house can also be used to go fishing.we stayed for 3 nights and enjoined the wild nature.

Would you like a little "back to the roots?" - then you are in the right place in Øyvind's beautiful cabin. Simple but clean furnishings in typical Norwegian rustic style. Everything in wood and very cozy. Everything you need is there. A cast iron wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth. So nothing stands in the way of a cozy evening on the corner bench by candlelight. You can prepare simple dishes on a two-burner gas stove. The kitchen utensils are great - good pots and good frying pan. The two bedrooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The cabin is located on a slight hillside with good lake and surrounding mountains views. You can get water from the creek with the corresponding bucket. Many opportunities for hiking - easy to difficult - are available in the area. Those who appreciate the tranquility and simplicity are in the right place. Gladly come back.

We really liked our stay at Liv Ingrid's place. A cozy cottage in a quiet street. Beautiful views from a nice terrace. We always had good contact with the hostess, everything was present. We enjoyed the fire outside and the fireplace inside. We will definitely come back for another trip to Norway.

Friendly and helpfull

Conveniently decorated and well-equipped cabin in the area right next to the sledding hill and children's slalom. Quiet area and cozy cabin of the slightly older variety. Good with sleeping arrangements, nice and clean bathrooms, and cabin that was easy to keep warm. We would love to come back another time.

We had very nice Easter days at Kirstine's cabin with family at Gålå. The cottage is conveniently designed with good room solutions and is furnished in a neat way in scandinavian style. Very convenient with 2 bathrooms - is a good fit for the extended family. The location is superb with ski in - ski out to the slalom slope and a short way to a cozy cafe. Kirstine responded quickly to questions and was friendly, helpful and flexible, and helped make the stay very successful.

We had a great week. We walked nicely in the snow. During the Christmas days we visited the church services in Heidal. The house and the area are well worth it! Ingunn was always very helpful. thanks Ingunn👍

Great coziness with everything you need. It is located in quiet and beautiful surroundings.

A nice, spacious cabin with everything you need. The cabin is on the property with several cottages, but there is no view. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, etc. A nice shower, spacious sitting area and a dining table for 8 people. The area is beautiful. We were there in December/January, so not all mountain roads were accessible. But despite that, we were able to explore the area well. Various cross-country ski trails in the nearby area. A supermarket is a 5 minute drive away. And the view from the cottage is beautiful. The communication with the owner is good, fast and complete. Will be happy to come back.

Jolanda’s place was great. Very cute and clean. She met us upon arrival and was super responsive with us and allowed us a flexible check out when we got stuck looking for a charger until 2am the night before :p Breakfast served was a real treat! Highly recommend!
