Barn accommodation in New Forest District

Just returned from a long weekend, staying at The Barn at Rotherwood. We were a group of 4 adults (2 couples) and had a great time. The Barn was perfect for us - really comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Debbie was very responsive and left us a really generous welcome hamper for our arrival - thank you Debbie! It was perfectly situated, on the edge of Itchenor, and was easy to get to Chichester, Bosham and the Witterings from there. We would recommend staying here!

We had a lovely week at Chris’! The spa barn was amazing. Lots of wildlife and lovely walks not far away. Chris was friendly and helpful. The flowers and birthday cake were very thoughtful :)

The barn is beautiful, decorated very tastefully with everything needed! We had an amazing week end, the location is great to visit Windsor, thank you so much for having us, we will be back! Michela

Lovely stay! Would happily come back again. Great bedding and mattresses and Natasha was a great host. Met us at the door with a friendly introduction to the house and answered all our questions about local walks and restaurants

Absolutely delightful barn. Pristine clean, many personal and welcoming touches, beautifully decorated and a serene, tranquil setting. It’s clear that the barn has been architect-designed as described, the interior structure is amazing. Bobby was a lovely, welcoming host. We had a heating issue during our first night which Bobby resolved immediately upon hearing about it. Fabulously located for Peppa Pig World/ Paultons park and many other attractions nearby including the zoo! We will be back.

Kate was a fantastic host. The accommodation had everything we could need and was spotlessly clean. It’s in a fantastic location, very close to city centre but in a very quiet road and close to a brilliant pub. We will definitely check availability next time we return to Bath!

We had the most amazing stay here with the most wonderful hosts. The cottage has anything & everything you could possibly think of or need during a short stay. It was spotless, modern, homily & a place we would highly recommend! The local area was somewhat limited for pubs/restaurants but having a car allows you to explore other places. The views from tor cottage are spectacular too & we were kindly able to check in early on the day. Thank you both, we would love to return!!

Was perfect for a Valentines getaway! We are so grateful to Sam and Adrian for extending their hospitality, they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make sure we had plenty of information about the surrounding area! We have to give our thanks also to William who provided lots of snacks and drinks through his tuck shop :) The barn itself was cosy yet spacious, the bed was super comfortable and water pressure in the shower was decent. The kitchen was fully-equipped for us to make a beef wellington on Valentines night!! Even the temperatures were near freezing - that didn’t stop us from taking full advantage of the fire place out on the patio! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would love to come and stay again! Thank you again Sam, Adrian and William!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Thatch. Lisa was a fantastic host, and we particularly loved the animals, especially Horace the peacock. The location was perfect, as were the scones and prosecco that we greatly appreciated! They were a lovely extra touch. The Airbnb was very cosy, had everything we could have needed, and there was great attention to detail. All in all a wonderful stay!

Really lovely stay in the cottage. The interior is beautiful and it feels really spacious. Laura was super responsive and helpful with local recommendations of where to eat. Great location to visit nearby beaches and walking spots. We’ll definitely pop back another time!

Our stay was lovely - we visited for a few nights as a long weekend for our first time visiting Cheddar. The Barn was exactly as described. It had everything advertised with added homely touches, the welcome basket had the essentials and it was a very nice touch to make us feel at home. The fire was perfect and Catherine was very friendly and proactive with her communication. Check-in was easy and her instructions were clear and easy to follow. The location is perfect to access both the local town and the gorge so highly recommend.

We had a great stay at Kim’s property, it was the perfect location to get to Bath, Bristol and head into the Cotswolds. Everything was clean, neat and tidy when we arrived. There was plenty of utensils and various items available for us to cook with and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. Recommended. If we are ever in the area we will be sure to stay here again!

The barn was just what we needed, a base to stay in to explore the island. The nature of the site means that there were a few creepy crawlies throughout our stay, it turned into a little sport as to what creatures we would find in the bathroom, daily. Not a criticism just something my husband wanted me to mention as this was a problem for him. The host was very friendly and showed us around explaining bits and bobs. The pub is worth a mention we ate there twice and both times were amazing. Sunday roast to die for and an evening meal all met with a friendly smile and chat, within walking distance, wear wellies. Just to the lane a small run farm shop with an honesty payment scheme, good local produce (not cheap) delicious cheese.

It’s been a lovely week long stay at Carol’s whilst in the area to visit family. The accommodations are attractive, cosy and comfortable and decorated tastefully for Christmas on this occasion. We greatly appreciated the flexible check in after our long flight and having the essentials on hand, including delicious baked goods. We had no difficulty parking and found the location very quiet and peaceful. Marshfield is delightful with its cafe, a couple of local shops and 2 pubs. We frequented them all. The Catherine Wheel hosted our son in the BnB and he was comfortable and well fed. We also gathered there for a couple of meals in large groups and great food with excellent service were consistently provided. Sweetapples Teashop just down the road is good for breakfast, specialty coffee and an afternoon sweet treat after a hike. I can’t recommend this accommodation and the village of Marshfield enough.

The pictures does not do it justice. A really beautiful place. Modern, clean and very homely. Kate is a wonderful host. The little details made it amazing! I won’t say what they were so that I don’t spoil the surprise for the next visitor. I felt as if I had known Kate for years. When I asked, Kate took the time to give me lots of recommendations for walks and restaurants. I will definitely go back. 😊

Thank you Holly for a wonderful stay - we had a lovely long weekend with our children and friends. The barn is beautiful, comfortable, warm and had everything we could need. The space was perfect for us. The hosts were super responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would 100% recommend for anyone considering staying here and we would definitely return.

A second very comfortable stay, thank you! This is a beautiful, well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfy property. The hot tub is brilliant, with lovely views over the fields behind. We also appreciated all the thought that has gone into making guests comfortable, from the fresh milk and local cheese in the fridge, to the home made cake, to the stove made up ready to light, and not to forget the extremely comfy beds. Communication was always prompt, friendly and helpful - we were very grateful for the flexibility around check in and check out times. We will hope to come back!

Spacious and comfortable with all amenities

A lovely converted barn which has everything you need for your stay, the underfloor heating was a bonus especially in February. Beautiful surroundings, lovely and quiet too. There's plenty of great walks and Chichester is close by. Sally was extremely helpful and quick at answering any questions we had. On arrival there were daffodils on the kitchen table, such a nice touch and fresh eggs available to buy too. We will be back, thank you 😊

we had a wonderful New Year stay at this gorgeous barn. We received a very warm welcome from Jack, Hayley and Meadow and soon settled in. The accommodation was great and the surrounding area is beautiful. The barn was warm and cosy and the views from the windows were stunning. Our dogs enjoyed the walks in the surrounding fields and copse, especially the stream. We had a lovely relaxing stay and would definitely like to return.
