A very clean, cosy, and charming cottage—actually even more delightful in person than the photos suggest. Peaceful surroundings and beautiful scenery make it a perfect getaway. Janice was very helpful and responsive to my questions. Excellent experience! Also the welcoming packet of biscuits worked miracles for getting the children in a very positive mood! Highly recommended.

This was my 3rd stay and it definitely won’t be my last. The cottage is brilliant, very clean and so comfy. Sarah is a lovely host. The surrounding area is outstanding, the scenery, history and peace and quiet ticks all the boxes for me. We had breakfast at Cobble Cafe in Alston which was lovely, we also discovered Hartside Pass, wow, what a view !! We also went to visit Long Meg and her daughters which was interesting. Overall, another excellent experience and we can’t wait to come back, hopefully sometime in the summer. Thanks Sarah for having us and for the lovely treats, mush appreciated x

This spot is gorgeous, everything you could want from a little get away in the middle of nowhere. The house was adorable, the grounds were lovely. Already been recommending to all my friends. Well worth a stay :)

We absolutely loved our stay here, one of our favourite places! The surrounding area is gorgeous, the cottage set right on the bank of a stream with walks both ways. Peaceful, quiet and surprisingly spacious for a 2 bed! Not to mention spotlessly clean and well stocked. Would highly recommend a stay here and we will certainly be back.
