It was a great location, easy to find. It was perfect for us, we went to have Thanksgiving with family. We did have a couple problems with the lock, Lindsay response was very quick and helpful. We will book again

Gorgeous place with well maintained hot tub, bin full of wood for the wood burning stove, and super comfy bed. Slept like the dead in this place! Full kitchen with spices and enough dishes that you can fill the dishwasher and not need to wash the same two plates over and over again. Friendly host who gave us a heads up on the Aurora - bucket list seeing the Northern Lights!

My husband stayed at Jim’s property for three nights and there are not enough great things I can say about it. The cabin is beautiful and we felt right at home. Jim greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us the cabin and the property. The hot tub was easy to use and so nice to hang out in. We had a lovely evening hanging out with Jim and Teresa one night too. Fishing from the dock was fun too and there are a bunch of ways to get on the water if you would like too. The place was clean and clearly very loved. Overall this is a beautiful property and our time here was just perfect. Definitely recommend!

We loved everything about Down Home! We had a relaxing and fun weekend as a family of 4. Our 2 littles loved the loft space, and we all enjoyed the wood fired hot tub. Every thoughtful detail was appreciated, even the local soaps and lotions (which I got online and purchased some of for us at home). Will gladly stay again.

We’re so lucky to have gotten to stay at this beautiful cabin! We made a last minute booking and Elise and Ben were very responsive and accommodating. The cabin was super clean and very well made. We barely touched the heater. The bed was really comfy and the sheets were so soft. I wish we could have stayed a couple extra days to hike about the property. We loved being greeted by the 2 goodest pups in the morning (although if dogs aren’t your thing, Elise made sure to reach out ahead of time to ask in case she needed to leash them). Will definitely be booking again next time we are visiting!

Beautiful, spacious home. My two friends and I spent Christmas Eve and Day here. Playing board games, cooking dinners, and relaxing in the hot tub. The lake was frozen but it would be cool to see it in the summer. Great stay. Would book again.

We opened the door…wow, instantly felt the vibe instantly: peaceful, chic, cozy, clean, calm. Quick responses, although not needed because everything is adequately described with this is here, this is there. We appreciate you hosting us at the cabin. We used this tranquil space to reconnect. So pretty.

Me and my family of 5 and our dog had the pleasure of staying here for a few weeks. It was just enough space and everyone still had their privacy in different areas of the cabin. I loved having everything we needed and even the family game nights with their boardgames and cards that were provided. We even enjoyed s'mores around the firepit outside. The beds and linens were hands down the most comfortable I've slept on in years! My family all loved calling this beautiful cabin home the few weeks we stayed there and we would definitely stay here again!

Responsive host & everything matched the ad. Simple rules & check-out was straightforward. Would stay here again, good proximity to civilization but still plenty out there enough to see the stars.

Great stay! We used the cabin as our base for an amazing winter weekend in the Talkeetna area. Cozy and comfortable. We used the sauna one night and it was amazing. Thank you for a great stay.

We had a beautiful stay in Alaska. The cabin was perfect for our needs. The location had a pond and a family of swan visitors every morning. The location was close the activities we wanted to enjoy. The cabin was decorated lovely, the bed was comfy and it had all the amenities we needed. We would definitely recommend. Thank you!

This is a wonderful private retreat where you can enjoy nature, and peace and quiet. The host responded quickly to every question that we had. Highly recommend!

The place was wonderful and the best stay we had in Alaska. Wish we had booked it for all days. The owner was very friendly and greeted us at check in. We arrived late at night and she provided us with a headlamp to use and a wagon for our luggage. Would definitely stay again. The cabin is absolutely beautiful inside and had modern amenities. It was nice and private. Surrounded by nature and cabins were spread a good distance so they were not too close.

The place was great. The kitchen was amazing. It was great to have laundry on site. The Bathroom has a very nicely updated. The only issues we found while there—which was not the cabin’s fault— we both have bad backs, was the bed was not very comfortable – was the bed and the couch were not comfortable for us. If you’re old or have a bad back, maybe this isn’t the best for you. Otherwise this place was amazing!

Had a great stay at Debbie’s. Location was quiet, just far enough away from the city and a nice view of the mountains from the hot tub! We really enjoyed our stay!

Nanette's place is exactly what we were looking for during our trip to Alaska. We were secluded and "roughing it". There were some hiccups with the fridge, but Nanette was responsive and even willing to buy a new fridge if we could not get it working. By the second day we figured out how to keep it running. The property does lack some amenities that are commonplace in modern life such as running water but that was clear to us when we booked, and it provided us the off the grid experience we were looking for. Nanette was also sending me many recommendations for where to fish nearby. I recommend this property.

This cabin was a great weekend getaway. Less than two hours from Anchorage, we stopped at the Denali Brewery on our way in and then hunkered down at our cabin for the rest of the weekend. Our stay was cozy and peaceful with a few inches of snow overnight. We even got to see a sled dog team out for a run right on the frozen lake. The complimentary tea and coffee was lovely, the wood burning stove was such a treat and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a great stay.

This cabin was cute & very comfortable! We slept great in the king size bed! The propane furnace is more than enough heat even in January. Driveway is a bit hidden so the special instructions were definitely helpful! GPS is not extremely accurate in AK! The kitchen is small & only one bathroom, but the price & location are fantastic!

Amazing stay as always! This was our 3rd time staying and I can’t recommend it enough. Beautiful cabin in a beautiful place! The back yard is immaculate with lots of room for our pups to run. Thanks Scott for another amazing trip!

The property was private, and beautiful! Loved the location, dog sledding was only seven minutes down the road! Justin and Nikki were super responsive and great hosts. Would recommend this place to anyone.

This is our second stay in the cabins at AAU. The cabins are very nice, clean, and private. The continental breakfast is a big plus! Lots of choices. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to Wasilla.

The wife and I were looking for a quick getaway and this did not disappoint! All Alaskan would appreciate the privacy but yet you can still have food delivered. Loved this cabin and was really impressed with the hard work that went into it to make you feel at home.
