The house and property: Peaceful. Pristine. Private. The host: Friendly. Knowledgeable. Responsive. Our family had a wonderful time at House Marlin! Cathy is a friendly, responsive, knowledgeable host. Check-in was easy. The house is clean and had all the amenities our family needed. We were steps from the beach and our kids loved the pool.

My fiance and I stayed at Casa de Bahamas for a full week and absolutely loved everything about the trip and the house! The space is very roomy and could easily fit more people. The house is conveniently located ~20 minutes from the Stella Maris Airport and a short drive to the grocery store and other popular destinations on the island. The home itself is very well kept and fully stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation (sunscreen, towels, bugspray, kayaks, paddleboards, floaties). The kitchen is also equipped with everything you need. We were blown away by the beach and the natural beauty of the outdoor space. The island itself is very quiet and you practically have the beach to yourself - it's a perfect spot to unplug and get away from the hustle and bustle. We met many ocean friends including, starfish, sea turtles and a stingray! A few things not noted: - The outdoor space has a firepit that included a bundle of firewood - the stars at night were the best we have ever seen! - Dmitri connected us with a rental car option about a week before our trip which was very convenient - highly recommend renting a car, be sure to bring cash to pay for the car rental. - The island and the home are surrounded by natural beauty and with that comes outdoor friends - sand mites at dawn and dusk, we also ran into small scorpions outside. We didn't have a problem with bugs indoors and the house is stocked with bug spray. - The flowers and bird feeders bring around tons of hummingbirds which was a lovely surprise. - The pool is deeper than we thought and is a saltwater pool which we liked. We highly recommend Casa de Bahamas and can't wait to return!!!

We booked Sarah’s place on Long Island, Bahamas last minute after feeling unsettled with our first booking –and this gem was exactly what we needed.This is precisely why we love using Airbnb over hotels: finding a space that feels like home. Sarah’s home offered that authentic, comfortable atmosphere we really needed-The kitchen was fully equipped with abundant condiments. Being close to a store for groceries (just a short drive away) made stocking up super convenient. The location is just a five-minute walk to a breathtaking beach.We spent an entire day walking to the very end of the beach (a scenic 3 km stretch southwards),surreal turquoise waters and immaculate white sand. It truly felt like stepping into a paradise.All of it.We’ve stayed at dozens of Airbnbs, and Sarah’s place is among our top -oh..one of the most unforgettable aspects was the starry night sky- nothing short of magnificent. The Key Lime Cottage is a 10+ on the charm scale. Comfy bed, clean bathroom, nice little living area and just enough of a kitchen to cook a few things. The beach and the sea are right out in front. Michele and Jason were amazing hosts and their local recommendations were spot on (my husband bought a conch salad from Kenny 3x in 5 days!). Tiny’s is just about the mid point on Long Island so it’s convenient to reach all of the other beaches and settlements. We highly recommend this place. Note: the little on-site bar is quite popular. From about noon until about 9pm there are people and some noise in the beach area in front of the cottage. We didn’t notice it in the daytime so much but at night it was more obvious. The volume of the noise varied but was never terrible. It wasn’t a problem for us because we knew about it ahead of time. After about 9pm until the bar opens at noonish it is it is super quiet...except for the sound of the waves and the whistle of the breeze. Enjoy!
