Guesthouse holiday rentals in Monterey

This is a good place from which to easily access downtown Carmel by car - just a short drive. The place itself is very livable with a comfortable bed, ample living room furniture, a large TV and small, but workable kitchen (although I have recommended to Faris that he provide an induction hot plate due to the absence of a stove). The deck is very large and inviting. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to any couple looking for a home base from which to enjoy Carmel.

We had a fabulous stay! Sarah was so firendly! Decorated a tree for us AND brought a Christmas gift! The house was just perfect. Better than the photos. Beds were super comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Boardwalk a couple of blocks away. I highly recommend!

We had an amazing time! Phillip was the best host, and reached out ahead of time to help make our arrival smooth and uncomplicated. The little cottage was so perfect for our weekend and was the best location to explore Big Sur, Carmel, and Monterey areas. We would totally come back again!

Amy's place was wonderful - one of the few places we've ever stayed that was even better in person than in pictures. It was clean, spacious, and very comfortable for the 2 of us. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of quiet spaces to lounge in the sun and walk around. The area was great as well, quiet but close to downtown, and Amy was a thoughtful and responsive host, we really appreciated her thoughtfulness. The one thing to note is that the Wi-fi could be unreliable - we both worked from the Airbnb, and made it work for the week, but something to note for future visitors. We'd definitely recommend this place and plan to come back next time we visit. Thank you Amy!

We loved staying at the hidden gem!! Had everything we needed and was super cozy. It was super convenient to downtown Santa Cruz, and we loved walking to 11th hour coffee every morning. Also made for a great home base to explore Big Sur! Would stay again.

This is a gem of a stay in a fantastic location. I live close to Rezan’s place and had to move out of my house for construction. Finding a place that would allow me to bring my cats was hard. Rezan wanted them to be comfortable; she and her sister went out of their way to remove decorative touches that would be a temptation, tied up drapes, and put a beautiful cover on the sofa. The quiet, peaceful setting and fantastic bed combined to give me the best sleep I’d had in months. Rezan’s hospitality is unequaled. The pictures can’t do justice to the decor and gardens.

This cabin was very cute and woodsy and exactly as described. Tom did a great job equipping it with anything you might need for yourself or your dog. I would advise visitors to pack light since it's a fairly long walk down, so multiple trips to the car aren't easy. But once you're there it's nice and quiet and I slept great.

Beautiful secluded cottage! Felt tucked away from the city, and only a 5 min drive to amazing food and coffee. The best of both worlds and will definitely try to stay here again!

It’s like a Cape Cod bungalow. Cozy and comfortable. Located in a great neighborhood, walkable to downtown Morgan Hill, this newly renovated cottage is well appointed and immaculately maintained. Our host, Betsey, is very kind and accommodating. She is accessible when needed, but is not intrusive to her guests. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough but hesitate to do so in hopes of keeping it all to ourselves. You will not be disappointed with both the cottage and its amazing host, Betsey

Kimberly's place was the perfect size for our little family of 3! the location to the beach and ocean ouldn't be beat. Overall a comfortable and clean stay! We enjoyed the fireplace and well stocked kitchen. We will definitely be back when we travel to Santa Cruz again!

I stayed at Pedram’s place for five nights while in town for work. The location is very close to downtown Los Gatos with everything that you need. The unit itself was immaculately clean, quiet, and comfortable. I would recommend Pedram’s Airbnb to anyone looking for a cozy hotel alternative like I was!

Quick visit but Makayla and Bofelo's place was perfect! Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful surroundings. Everything was clean and set up perfectly. I sat on the porch at night with a cup of tea and looked at the stars. Watched a movie through my Netflix account and made my own meals in the fully stocked kitchen. I just texted them through the Air bnb app if I had any questions and they always answered in a timely manner. Never actually met them but as I said, it was a quick visit for me.I did wave and mouth good morning to Bofelo on my way out the first morning and said goodbye to the horses out my window on the way out my last day. The Bed was extremely comfortable and I slept very well there. Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful place to lay their head and relax. I thought their pricing was really good too compared to other properties I checked out.

Beautiful and romantic, a lovely cottage tucked deep in the woods. We made the most of our time here and enjoyed dipping into the spa several times. Definitely a fun and unique space!

An absolute gem! This beautiful home exceeded all expectations—every detail was thoughtfully designed (with sparkling cider, milk frother and chicken noodle soup) and the location was perfect to go to Carmel beach or drive south to Big Sur. The host was incredibly welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable family vacation.

We had a great time in Carmel Valley! So beautiful, and lots to do within reasonable driving distance. We even took a day to go out to Big Sur and it was totally worth it! Very cozy surroundings and comfortable to stay. We can't wait to go back to Carmel Valley. AMR :)

Thank you Kyle for being so responsive and accomodating my parking needs. The studio was clean, nicely furnished, and had everything you could need for a short or longer stay. The chickens were fun to see in the morning!

I wish we could have stayed longer. I grew up in Santa Cruz and the flat was exactly where we wanted to stay. An easy walk to the beach, town, nightlife and more. It's great to park the car and ignore it. Very comfortable place. Highly recommended.

Stayed 5 nights - very comfortable. Space is clean, bright and cheery. We cook our own food when we travel, so a good kitchen is important. Kitchen was thoughtfully appointed, with sufficient counter space. Local tap water has sulphur taste, so host provided large, bottled water dispenser - plentiful for our 5 day stay. Nice patio in front where we had coffee and lounged in morning sun. Bedroom was very comfortable: good bed w night tables on each side. We really appreciated Ashley’s accommodation to my partner’s sensitivity to perfumes and scented products by washing our linens in unscented detergent, & not using scented dryer sheets before our stay. A major plus for us. There's a convenient laundry rm as part of cottage. However, smell from perfumed products permeated entire cottage and was very uncomfortable for both my partner and myself. After closing laundry door and airing out for 2+ days was fine. Location fantastic - central to hiking trails, retail, dining. Will be back.

Mary’s cottage is the perfect retreat in close proximity to Santa Cruz, 10 mins from the center of town but a world away. The cottage is spotless, quiet, private and comfortable, a modern little home away from home. The bed was comfortable, the wooded view from the back deck was peaceful and the high ceilings with sky lights added to the serene and ambient surroundings. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook a nice home cooked meal and the espresso machine was an added bonus. WiFi and tv worked perfectly and the ac and heating were great. Shower was beautiful and there is even a washer and dryer, spacious and charming it was truly enjoyable and we wish we could have stayed longer. Although the cottage sits behind the hosts home it is extremely private and you would almost not even know you had a neighbor. It was truly delightful.
