Cabin holiday rentals in Monroe County

Eric's listing had so many extras that really made our trip feel like home, especially with a toddler! The cabin was extremely clean and nearby both Nashville and Bloomington!

We really enjoyed the wrap around front porch, screened in patio, hot tub, game room and layout of this home! It worked very well for our family and we plan to come back soon to enjoy another peaceful long weekend

Nice cabin, larger than I thought it would be, the outside deck has space for whatever probably 2-3000 sq feet of deck space. Cool property.

Our stay at Monica's place far exceeded our expectations. We booked over Thanksgiving so, we planned to cook our holiday diner at the Airbnb. We reached out to Monica before we arrived to verify the kitchen would be stocked sufficiently to cook this type of meal. When we arrived, we found the home just as shown in the pictures. it was very clean, inviting , comfortable and the kitchen had more than enough cookware for us to cook our Thanksgiving meal. I also want to add that the quality of the cookware was amazing. Monica did not just throw together some cheap pots and pans for the guests to use. Everything was high quality and performed very well when cooking. The beds were comfortable and I am not sure if they have an instant water heater here but, we (4 adults) never ran out of hot water. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definately stay again in the future.

We really enjoyed the home & everything was clean & neat! Kitchen well stocked with utensils, cooking pans, & tableware! Plenty of bath towels! Decorated very nice! Would recommend to anyone!

We had a great stay at the a-frame!! It was a perfect spot for a fall getaway. There were 3 families that stayed, 12 total. There was ample place for all. Each family had a home base bedroom and a few of the kids slept on couches/an air mattress. I really enjoyed having all the benefits of a campground, but also having a comfortable, nice place to relax and shower, etc. We stayed 2 days, but there is so much to do in the area that we could have used another one! The kids loved the park, and the pop a shot basketball hoop, we all loved playing volleyball and pickle-ball. We explored the IU campus and went to brown county for a hike. I would definitely recommend checking out Hard Truth for dinner. Was a very cool place! The hosts were very responsive, friendly, and helpful. It was an exceptionally nice campground. Walked to Lake Monroe one morning and caught a few fish! Can’t wait to come back!

The property was absolutely beautiful! Came for a wedding that was close by and enjoyed a wonderful night around one of the two fire pits. Wish we had more time in the morning to explore more of the property. Our dog really enjoyed the expansive forest. Alexandra was amazing and super communicative with anything we could have needed. Can’t wait to come back!

Very beautiful location and the home was very nice. The view of the lake was really awesome and peaceful. Everything worked well (Fireplace, grill, hot tub, etc.) and we felt very at home. The hot tub especially was a highlight. I would recommend this place to anyone. The only complaint I would have is related the drive to get to the place. It is 5 miles of dirt/rock road to get to the cabin which we did not expect, and it snowed 4-5 inches overnight right before we were to leave. It was a fairly scary drive. This however does not have anything to do with the cabin itself, just the only road leading to it. The amount of snow was also unexpected, and without the snow the drive is totally fine, it is just a dirt road. Even with the unexpected snow and difficulty of the road home because of it, I still give this place 5 stars. It was really relaxing and incredibly beautiful. We would rent this again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay at Sweet Retreat! We were very surprised to see a Christmas tree - a nice surprise! The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials & labeled! The beds were comfortable & we went in the hot tub each night

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home in the hills of Nashville, Indiana, while celebrating a friend’s 60th birthday! The views were spectacular from every window, and the property offered full privacy, making it a peaceful and scenic getaway. The house itself is very spacious, tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you’d want for a great group gathering—entertainment areas, a hot tub, a pool table, movies, books, and more. The kitchen was especially impressive—huge and well-stocked, perfect for cooking meals together. Our only issue was the sleeping arrangements. The listing advertised 8 beds, but we discovered last-minute that two were futons, requiring our own bedding. Upon arrival, only one futon was provided, and the host’s initial response was unhelpful. They later acknowledged the mistake, which we appreciated but felt could have been handled better. Nothing that dampened our joy! It was truly wonderful. We will return!

Our stay at the cabin was terrific. We had 4 adults and plenty of room. The bedrooms were large with really comfortable beds. The bathrooms were very nice with good showers and the kitchen had all we needed. It is close to Bloomington - truly just 15 minutes to the stadium - but we felt like we were in a remote wooded setting. The cabin has a main deck and an upper deck with access from both upstairs bedrooms. There is also an outdoor fire pit with firewood available. The view out each window is awesome, and we visited in Nov after the leaves were down. So with either snow, budding trees, green leaves, or autumn foliage it would be gorgeous. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We will definitely book again!

The location is great: the woods, hiking trails, the lake, the beach. Close to Bloomington and Nashville. Emily is very nice, sweet, responsive, helpful. She gave us maps to hiking trails, pass to the beach that we enjoyed very much. She left cookies and eggs for our arrival and gave some eggs when we left. The house is an old mobil home located pretty close to the road. There is a lot of mint growing outside and giving up a nice fragrance around. The yard though needs some moving. The place inside is spacious. Even though the place is old but it’s clean inside. There were enough kitchen stuff for us. We asked for additional fry pan and Emily immediately gave us one. Recommendations: I felt I needed a little night stand in the guest bedroom; Dawn and spongy would be nice to have in the kitchen (we didn’t bring that with us). Overall we are satisfied with the place and enjoyed our stay in Emily’s place. Thank you very much! I needed to decompress and this place delivered.

We had a nice stay here. The unit was clean, comfortable, and the hot tub was outstanding. Communication was really good too, as the host contacted us the day before our trip to go over everything on the phone.

My fiancé and I absolutely loved this place!! It was so peaceful and beautiful!! The cabin was so relaxing and peaceful! They supplied us with a bundle of firewood, a lighter, smores stuff, water, cookies, candy, and a little duffle bag to keep! They were very responsive and helpful in everyway!! They had walking trails in the camp site and laundry!! Definitely will be staying there again when we are back in Indiana!! 😊
