Waterfront holiday rentals in Midlothian

We had a wonderful eleven-night stay at the flat. The rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable and reflected the 2022 update, especially in the bathroom and kitchen. The heating and lighting were quite good, with plenty of outlets for electronics. The mattresses, sheets, and towels were exceptional. The kitchen was well stocked, and basic cooking supplies were provided. The building was quiet and very sound-proof. We loved the view from the lounge and the fact that the flat was close to the Coastal Path, so that we could easily walk to visit our friends in the area. Kashif provided a comprehensive information binder and was a responsive host if we needed to contact him. Since we were staying for an extended period of time, Kashif provided an extra cleaning half-way through our stay, which we very much appreciated. Overall, our stay at the flat was consistently fine, the result of a thoughtfully managed property. We would look forward to staying there again.

Our stay at Robert’s apartment was perfect! The apartment had everything you needed and more, so many added touches. Communication with Robert was always prompt, he was super friendly too! We would definitely recommend Robert’s place and will be staying again for sure. Great location with the tram stop to downtown and airport within a 2min walk from the apartment, great restaurants, pubs and grocery stores nearby too. All in all definitely a 5star rating!

A lovely stay in a clean, comfortable and well appointed apartment. Communication from Emily was faultless, friendly and helpful. The Royal Yacht Britania is a short walk and is worth visiting. There are loads of great restaurants and cafes almost on the doorstep of the flat. The tram to Edinburgh centre is within a few minutes walk and is convenient and good value. Highly recommend staying at Emily's .

Perfect accommodation. Did not realise how great Leith is. Perfect location to explore Leith and Edinburgh. Defo would stay here again when visiting Edinburgh

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb—hands down the best we’ve ever stayed in! The place was immaculate, spacious and very modern. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, and it had everything we needed, from tea, coffee, sugar, milk to all the essentials like bowls, utensils, toaster, dishwasher. Two bathrooms was great for us with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, nice towels and hairdryer. The big beds were super comfortable with great pillows and bedding. One of the coolest features was the Alexa/smart feature to control the lights, heating and electric blanket in lounge on the futon in the window-loved this!!! The layout and style of the space were just stunning, making it a truly enjoyable and comfortable stay. Shammi was a great host, responds to questions super quick and offers an amazing service with his lovely apartment. Thank you so much for an incredible experience! We would highly recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back.

Our family of 4 (plus Inca, our border terrier) stayed at The Puffin Burrow for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year. It was comfortable, clean and very well equipped. There was even a real Christmas tree in the main room which was a nice touch. The best thing about it was the location right opposite the beach which made it so easy to get out for walks with our dog. Once or twice I emailed Lucy to ask her something and she replied immediately which was very helpful. The flat itself is very tastefully decorated, there are games, maps, books, tv, everything you could need really. We'd definitely book this place again in the future.

Terrry and Aimee’s place was perfect for our mountain-biking holiday. We were grateful for the opportunity to lock our bikes up securely each evening. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and was a welcome retreat at the end of some physically demanding days. Our hosts were friendly, responsive and helpful throughout and I can highly recommend this listing to others.

Me and my partner had a really nice stay at Don's apartment! Everything was clean and tidy, looked exactly like the pictures. The view of the river from the balcony looks even better in person too. There are multiple books in the living room with recommendations on what to do and where to eat, you'll never get stuck for ideas there. There's even a few pages dedicated to the host's favourite bars which is a nice touch! Everything is within a 20 minute walk from the space which is also super convenient. Don communicated with us really well, giving detailed directions on where to go from the train station. He also let us know all of the details we would need the night before, which if you're anything like me is really nice to help with travel anxiety! Overall, it was a really nice trip and we'd love to visit again in the future!

Mary was a wonderful host. It is a tricky spot to find as phone signal drops out and we made the mistake of coming through in the dark! Nevertheless Mary stood outside in the cold to guide us in, which was so kind and helpful. Beautiful grounds, perfect for relaxing. Cosy house which is very well equipped, very much a home from home feel.

Second time staying here as it’s perfect for a family of four. My children love watching the planes and trains from the living room and have lots of space to play, and enjoyed exploring the garden. The house is very comfortable and cosy and the kitchen is well equipped. Definitely need a car to stay here as it’s a long way from any public transport but it was a great base for visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area.

A very comfortable and lovely home. We appreciated the space to gather together or have privacy. We were a group of five family members. We had a car. We used both the car and bus to explore the surrounding area. A bus stop is relatively close by. It was a very cozy and beautifully decorated home. The co-host Kenneth worked with us for check in. He was helpful and friendly. Entire stay was terrific!

We had a lovely stay. The area is lovely and quiet, and the view of the Bridges is fantastic. Great bus links into Edinburgh if you didn’t want to drive. This little home is very cosy, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Max and Katia were also really responsive and helpful if we had any questions. Thank you for having us!

What a wonderful place! Exactly as advertised and more. Calum and Karen were very responsive and gracious. Always helpful with recommendations. It was a family trip so we did a lot of touring. After a long day of activities, it was always great to come back to this beautiful home . . . and the views are spectacular.

Great home, incredibly comfortable with all we needed. Brilliant communication from booking onwards. Lovely to be able to walk to the sea for a swim in a few minutes and good amenities nearby. Easy train journey into Edinburgh.

This apartment was an absolute dream. It was ideal for what we wanted and was such a lovely cosy atmosphere from the minute we stepped through the door. the hosts went above and beyond to make sure that everything was catered for with plenty of bedding and towels etc. and amenities we hadn’t even thought about like fresh milk and shampoo. there was lots of recommendations and clear information upon arrival as well as very quick and friendly communication. We absolutely loved staying here and have taken some flat inspo for our own flat! we hope to return!! Thankyou !! :)

We have had a really lovely stay for 4 nights at Karen’s apartment. The apartment is extremely comfortable and very well equipped with quality furniture, linens and kitchen equipment. Karen has thought of everything that we could need during our stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and fresh. The lounge and kitchen overlook the sea and it’s possible to walk straight from the property entrance to the lovely long promenade . There is a supermarket nearby and buses run regularly into Edinburgh. We would love to stay in the apartment on our next trip to the area.

Luc's place had everything we needed. Perfect for us. Nice and quiet. Washing machine was a nice plus for us on an extended holiday. Leith is lovely. Try the Greek restaurant across the street for a nice meal.

What an incredibly stunning place, the design, interior, location, it was like something out of Vogue magazine. Beautiful and thoughtful little touches throughout, I’ve already recommended to all my friends and family. Would stay here again, and again! An additional thanks for allowing us to reschedule the date due to a family issue, we were so grateful that you were so accommodating.

We decided to get away for the weekend ..last minute booking. Decided on Culross after seeing it on BBC Villages by the Sea and of course Outlander. The apartment is a great base to explore the Village and surrounding countryside. Lots of walks available from the doorstep and if you’re lucky you will see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It is tastefully decorated, (love the Outlander autographs) very homely and the heating system is spot on ..making it very warm and cosy while it was freezing 🥶 outside. Everything you need for a self catering holiday is provided. The Red Lion pub just along the road is great for a meal/drink and everyone is so friendly and a bonus it is also dog friendly too. Thank you to Jonathan for being friendly, responsive and for giving us detailed information for parking/getting into the apartment.

I love the house. Feels warm and always made me feel good to come home to after a long day out. Victoria & Derek are great! Peaceful location near to Co op. Would definitely come again to her airbnb if am back in Edinburgh!
