This was our second stay at McLaren Flat and once again we absolutely loved it. A great base for Gather Round week and this time we had lunch at the Currant Shed a short walk away, and enjoyed local wine tastings and morning walks to the General Store for excellent coffee. The house is super comfortable and gorgeous and we loved the updated kitchen where we cooked numerous meals. Can’t recommend highly enough.

We came to SA for Gather Round with our grown up kids and our 4 legged friends, the location was perfect, the house was well equipped and clean, loved the beach and the front deck, great food and of course wine options are endless , we caught the train into Adelaide for the footy it was so convenient and easy, we would stay again for sure.

We love staying at Harriet’s - perfect for a little get away. We walked to a few nearby wineries which was great scenic walk. Harriet was responsive and gave us some great local suggestions for food and wineries which we appreciated The little welcome basket was a great touch as we put it to use for a little date night charcuterie board. It was tranquil and lovely and lighting the fire made it nice and cosy. Would 100% stay again.

A beautiful house in a great location, walking distance to the beach. Has all the amenities you need for a perfect beach holiday. Great for two families as the house has lots of different spaces for everyone to relax. Loved the kids playroom and garden spaces for an afternoon drink.

An absolutely beautiful home with everything you need in it. The bedding and furnishing felt very lux and there was plenty of everything. We went as 6 friends for a girls weekend and barely left the house as it was so great! Claire was very easy to work with and was so understanding when I made a mistake with the booking and was more than happy to work with me to rectify it. Would highly recommend a stay at Claire’s house.

We (group of mums) had a lovely relaxing stay for a couple of nights at Claire’s place. The views are incredible, the huge balcony/deck was such a highlight to unwind on taking in spectacular views of the bay. We loved the space so much we hardly left for the whole weekend. Only thing we wished was different was based on the photos we were expecting there to be a coffee machine, however this is no longer at the property. But we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

I wish we had more time to enjoy this accommodation. It is a stunningly beautiful architectural masterpiece! Most importantly, it was warm and cozy; I felt at home right away. The only minor issue was that the toilets did not have locks, but this wasn’t a problem for us. The hosts were very prompt and helpful, providing a host of local recommendations for things to do and places to eat. They even gave us a voucher for a local café to enjoy. I would definitely highly recommend this place and will add it to my list for a return visit!
