For both of us the stay was a wonderful experience the family there was very polite & lovely.the room big spacious & cozy at the same time.a balcony to sit from where the jungle was visible. The most valuable thing we have ever experienced was not only the diversity of Ella but the cooking class where we were immersed in the traditional cuisine, where we could help support.we laughed a lot and had a wonderful evening with the couple who explained the variety of food to us; thank you very much for that.lg Dylan & Magdalena

We are staying in Sri Lanka for 3.5 months to do an internship in Kandy. We had booked this cottage for a month and were able to book for the entire period. Communication went smoothly, both Asela and his family are very helpful and we felt right at home. The stay is spacious and pleasant. We recommend this for anyone who wants to come to Kandy.

Beautiful view of mountain and there is a restaurant next door which opens early. Place is well maintained. Only minus was no toiletries provided. Perhaps I asked they would have provided

As others have said, Dileepa is the host of your dreams. He could not have been more friendly or helpful. The mountain view room is great, lovely view, spacious, comfortable bed. It is a steep but short walk down, but Dileepa set off with our bags both up and down so you only have to rely on your own fitness. Breakfast was great, and the packed version to take on the train was very much appreciated. The location is a little way from the center of Ella, meaning it's very quiet - which we wanted. It's not hard to walk into town, pay attention to the cut throughs to avoid the windy road past the dump. The way through the temple is particularly nice. Pro tip is to make friends with the railway track as a walking thoroughfare, along with its great trackside restaurants and cafes. Also don't miss the organic tea plantation, really informative and inspiring. All in all a great place to stay.

The host is very very nice, careful and friendly. She help us in our arrive and maked a good breakfast every day. The best thing is the view. thanks again Saman! :)

Arawe Retreat is simply fantastic. From the beautifully appointed accommodation, to the attentive yet relaxed staff, to the tastiest food in Ella. We really had the best time here. Just a short Tuk Tuk from the busy centre of Ella, Arawe retreat provided an oasis of nature focused calm which was hard to leave. Ishanka and his team really have got things just right by creating the retreat around the existing nature and enhancing it. The wildlife noise at night is really something to behold and helps you drift off into relaxed tropical dreams. Huge thanks to Ishanka, Chaggar, Suren and Dashan. You really made this visit memorable and also a special thanks to Banda and Manike. We hope to get the chance to visit again x

Champi and her family are wonderful hosts, very friendly and always ready to help. Our room was beautiful, and the view from the balcony was unreal. The waterfall on the property is a real huge waterfall! Food was also very good (we had breakfast and dinner). And their doggy Roxy was a bonus!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Coco Villa for 5 days. The pictures featured do not accurately depict how beautiful this house really is, including the large balcony that overlooks the front of the house. We were concerned prior to our arrival after reading previous reviews regarding the kitchen. But, we were pleasantly surprised to find the kitchen in good condition and stocked with everything we needed, including multiple glasses and plates. Our host Hasini was extremely accommodating. The caretaker Keshara was also very helpful and quickly assisted us with any requests we had. We would definitely stay here again if we had the opportunity to return to Kandy.
