Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Matamata-Piako District

Amazing stay! This property is literally in the Shire, overlooking Hobbiton with the rising sun. I felt like I was in Middle Earth. The birds are so talkative, just stunning. I wish we had more time to stay longer.

What a fantastic stay we had. We only stayed one night but it was perfect. Would happily stay several nights here as things are just so good. The house is fantastic. Plenty of room, so clean and has everything you might possibly need . Kitchen supplies were awesome. As well as a great kitchen, there are toys and books for the kids. Some beautiful fresh eggs with cereal, toast and conserves. Pizza oven and Weber were also used. Beds and pillows are so comfortable. The setting is just so peaceful. Farmer Graham also made it very special for our grandkids. He took so much time with them and really introduced them to the animals. One of the best Air BNB experience we have had.

The location is very convenient. We went to Waihi beach on our first day and Mount Manganui on the second which are both 30 minutes away from Michael’s place. Will definitely book again.

Great place for our New Years holiday. Close to town and beach and down a quiet culdesac. Beautiful house with everything you need.

Great house for 6 people to stay in with plenty of space. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Robyn was very accommodating with any requests and was extremely prompt with communication. A lovely quiet spot to stay within easy walking distance to town.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Right round the corner from Hobbiton and Matamata. Would love to stay again!

Super clean heritage villa with comfortable beds.

Exactly what we needed, we felt right at home and had bbqs and afternoon sun every day. Friendly, quiet and safe street in Waihi Beach. Highly recommended.

It was quite nice to walk to the beach when we arrived. Mark and Cheryl are very fresh and helpful. We had a very quiet and restful evening.

A great rural location, easy drive to Cambridge and not far to Hamilton, would happily stay again.

Really enjoyed our two night stay here. The location was beautiful. We loved sitting out on the balcony and watching the farm animals in such a peaceful setting. The place itself isnt very large but was immaculately clean and perfectly cozy for a couple. It had everything needed - nice bed, a/c, comfy sofa, cooking equipment and even a washer. Would definitely recommend this place!

We had such a wonderful time! This is truly a beautiful Airbnb in a stunning location. It had everything we could possibly need and Robyn made us feel right at home. Our son enjoyed all the toys, puzzles and wanted to go kayaking as soon as his eyes opened in the morning. We will be back!

From the moment we got there the hosts made us feel right at home. My kids had a blast with the games and toys. We went for a quiet kayak with the swans in the morning, which really made it special.

This unit was comfortable and well laid out. It was located close to the lake walk and downtown. A very enjoyable stay.
