Holiday rentals with a kayak in Massanutten

Solid spot to enjoy nature and the sound of the river. It truly is pirate themed. Loved the pinball machine, and the projector was solid. Just make sure to bring your own food cause food delivery drivers do have a tough time coming up here since it gets dark and the roads are a bit narrow. Great time overall and glad to have stayed here.

This is our third time at Jennifer's Airbnb, and we can't wait to go again. The house itself is wonderful. The area is gorgeous. And Jennifer is a great host. Can't recommend enough.

Had a lovely stay with our group of Scouts. The home was even better than the photos. Kitchen was outstanding and very well stocked, including with a generous amount of pantry staples. 2.5 bathrooms worked well for our group of 10. The stunning riverfront access and a huge yard area were added bonuses. Charming, thoughtful decorations adding to the allure. Virtually instant communication with our hosts. Look forward to returning again!

Right on the river!! Plenty to see and explore. We used as base camp for Massanutten which is about 20 minutes from front door to ski lift. Next to a city park so lots of area for the dog as well.

We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything we needed. The kitchen had all the utensils, pots, and pans you could ask for, along with thoughtful extras like blankets and firewood for the outdoor fire pit. The gas fireplace and open living room-kitchen design made the space feel so cozy and inviting—like a true home away from home. The view is absolutely spectacular! We truly enjoyed sipping our morning coffee while looking out over the Shenandoah River and mountains. It was the perfect getaway, and we can’t wait to stay here again!

This was our second visit to one of Frank's many properties and his high standards are reflected in the care he takes and feels for his homes. Our stay at "Overlook" was fun, relaxing and peaceful. Some highlights: -hot tub was one of the best we've seen (large, clean, good jets and in a great location). -home layout is well thought out -kitchen is stocked -extra 1/2 bath (not pictured) in awesome mudroom/laundry area -very comfy couches, sitting areas and beds -outdoor fire pits and indoor gas fireplace -nice dock -privacy and the ability to walk all over the expansive property, including along the river (there are some steep hills giving you the great views, but nothing crazy) -the scenic views from the big windows in the house We went during a flash snowstorm in December... can't imagine how much fun a summer or spring visit would be! We would definitely book again. Great gracious hosts! Thank you.

We wanted to do something different for Thanksgiving this year so we found a nice little cabin and brought our dogs. This cabin was perfect for the kids and dogs, because there was a fence. You can hear the traffic from the road but it’s not bad! It’s very quiet but you’re close to a Walmart and food places. The fireplace was a huge hit for our family. We used it everyday. It was just big enough to hold our family of 5 and two pups. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be back one day!

This is a wonderful home with lots of history. The house is nicely modernized, comfortable for large groups, and has tons of outdoor space. Great for family meals, reading by the fire, and everything you hope from a country retreat.

The location was ideal—just a short drive to Massanutten Ski Resort, yet far enough away to enjoy complete privacy and the serenity of nature. The surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities to explore, with trails and peaceful spots to take in the stunning mountain views. This property is one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and natural beauty, this is the place to book. Highly recommend!

We had a great time! My two kids loved the upstairs play area. The home is beautiful and was perfect for our family. We had some trouble navigating the TVs (remote did not seem to work for main bedroom and we couldn't get the living room TV to stream), but Kinga was super responsive to any questions. We enjoyed nearby Woodstock Cafe for breakfast and exploring GW National Park. The location and setting was perfect for our short getaway and we hope to come back next year.

Shaun’s home is absolutely stunning. The first thing you experience is hearing the calming sounds of the river and seeing the care in how the property is designed to make the most of the natural surroundings. The bear cave is one of the most unique amenities I’ve ever seen at an Airbnb, with heaters and fans to help guests make the most of the space year round. The inside of the home is well stocked (we cooked at the home all weekend), tastefully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. Shaun and his family are thoughtful and attentive hosts. I strongly recommend this home for nature lovers who are looking for a higher-end luxury accommodation. I look forward to staying at any of Shaun’s properties again in the future!

Had a great Valentine’s Day weekend stay. Beautiful place and surroundings. Great for a short trip and worth the money, Wish check out was a little bit later though.

This place was a very spacious quiet area and great amenities. We didn’t use the lake toys because it was November but if it was warm enough we would have. The place was so comfortable and clean. It literally has everything we needed for a 3 day stay. I could t ask for more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Super adorable Cabin, very cozy in the winter. The hosts were super responsive, which is very comforting in the winter with the unpredictable weather.

Really beautiful house that fit six adults easily! We loved the windows and kitchen, and were very grateful for the many extra blankets. And the host was extremely responsive with any questions. So lucky that we got to watch a beautiful snowfall from the living room.

A Cozy Winter Getaway with Stunning Views We had an incredible stay at this beautiful cabin. The space was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect—easily accessible and surrounded by nature. Despite the cold winter weather, we spent a lot of time indoors enjoying the game area with the pool table, which was a fun way to unwind. One of the highlights of our trip was taking a peaceful walk by the river, with the snow-covered mountain as the backdrop. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and we captured some beautiful photos to remember the experience. My favorite shot was the one of the mountain, which I’m planning to print and frame on my buró as a lasting reminder of this wonderful trip. Nora was a fantastic host—communication was prompt and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

This was the perfect space for what we needed. Three of us were traveling for work and we all had our own space. The pictures of the shower don’t even compare to how big and nice it actually is. The hot tub was definitely a great bonus. And the host was quick to respond and keep us updated. Highly satisfied with this stay
