Our stay at Backwater Brook in Kumarakom was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, everything was meticulously arranged. Asif had already set up everything before our arrival, ensuring a seamless experience. Shanej greeted us warmly at the entrance, making us feel right at home. Special mention to Ajay Gosh, who went above and beyond to take care of us throughout our stay. His attentiveness and hospitality truly stood out. The food was another highlight—absolutely delicious and perfectly capturing the local flavors. The highlight of our trip was the serene 2-hour Shikara ride organized by Aneesh Sivam during sunset. Gliding through the tranquil canals surrounded by nature was an unforgettable experience, and it made our stay even more magical. This has been one of our best stays in Kumarakom so far, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Thank you to the entire team at Backwater Brook for an amazing time.

Excellent resort like facility....beautiful location with lots of open space that open to the lake. Good for family of 6-12 adults. We have very nice stay for a day and night, the host were very friendly and available most time around. They provided breakfast for next day morning thats good enough. This is a new home like facility very private.

The stay was really good. The care taker of the property was very friendly and assisted us when in need. The food provided by them was excellent. I would highly recommend this property for group of friends and family.

An amazing traditional keralan cottage that exceeded our expectations. In a great location out of the wa of the tourist area so we felt like we were right amongst the locals but also next to the backwaters, so beautiful. Great staff and facilities would highly recommend

Wonderful stay at Joseph´s place. Anthony - his help - was available to guide us through to the place. We were 10 of us in a tempo traveller and the road on which the house was - was a bit too small for the tempo. Apart from that all good. We had to park it 100 mts away - which was a minor thing. Overall a decent stay and value for money.

I had an amazing stay at Dominic's place in Marari Beach and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic getaway. The location couldn't be better – just a quick 3-minute walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The room itself was spotless and well-maintained, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. The breakfasts prepared by Dominic's family were absolutely delicious, and they graciously accommodated our late mornings, serving up a fresh and tasty meal every day. Dominic himself was an exceptional host, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. From offering rides to the bus stand to ensuring we boarded the correct bus, his hospitality truly made a difference. Also, his family was incredibly helpful, with his son going out of his way to assist me with currency exchange. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Marari Beach. Dominic's place offers affordability without compromising on quality or hospitality!

It's a calm ,spacious and beautiful place. Nice restaurants nearby and food delivery is available . Sheeba is very responsive and proactive. The plcae is clean and meticulously maintained. Ideal for a large gathering .

What a wonderful stay I had! It is not Fort Kochi or Alleppey full of tourists, but a quieter location roughly 1-2 hours away by road from each, with a river-side restaurant straight over the road , easy auto options to a small town with more restaurants, shops and ATM's 3 km away, or Uber, auto and bus options for trips to the backwaters and further afield. The stand-alone unit is a decent size, has a full kitchen, lounge area, a good bed, excellent air-con and wi-fi, plus small decks with beautiful garden views. It is peaceful, secure, immaculate inside and out, and an excellent choice in particular for solo travellers or for those a little worried about navigating Kerala. Krishna and Jyothi's hosting is outstanding, there is no other description. A great touch is the first day breakfast (thanks Jyothi!) and Krishna really is just so helpful with advice - if needed - on getting around, bookings and trips. This is Air B&B as it is meant to be. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely time at this Mindhun’s place as a family. The house staff took very good care of us and were very kind, attentive and helpful, and the food was lovely. The house is spacious and very clean and suited us well. Host was very helpful and quick to communicate. Only disappointing thing was that we were advised that sea was unsafe to swim in - so we didn’t really get to take advantage of the beach.

The property was well maintained, closer to the beach and private. There is outdoor shower to clean up yourself when you come back from the beach. The caretakers stay in the property and were responsive to our needs immediately. Food delivery platforms were available and breakfast was prepared on request. The beach was not accessible at night but you can definitely enjoy a nice swim in the beach during sunrise.

Had a great time with our family. Wish we could have stayed a little longer. Place is very clean and well maintained!

Book the property with no second thought. The best place where you want to spend your weekend with family or friends away from the city hustle. Things to do: Reach the property around late afternoon. Enjoy the sunset and have a great time with all the activities. Try out kayaking and canoeing the next morning, the host will suggest the best places and he will take care of everything. The host, Shiju is super friendly and took good care right from reaching out to the property and till the checkout.

Sherin was absolutely amazing! She and her entire family were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make my parents’ 25th anniversary truly special. Sherin ensured that everything we requested was perfectly arranged. The next morning, we were treated to a delicious homemade breakfast prepared by her mother, which was absolutely delightful. The beach was just a 2-minute walk away, and it truly was a private beach, adding to the wonderful experience. I’ve never experienced such a warm and friendly vibe from a host before!
