Cottage holiday rentals in Malpas

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

We had a lovely stay at Pilgrim Cottage. Cosy, easy to find, and squeaky clean! We didn’t use the hot tub as we were out for most of the day, but it is a beautiful set up and it was a shame not to have had time to give it a go. The beds were really comfy and we so slept well with it being so quiet. Overall, we would recommend and thank you Sam for being so communicative ☺️

Much needed relaxing weekend. Perfect location for the family to meet up with our daughters arriving from London and Liverpool by train and us traveling from Gloucestershire by car. Accommodation had everything we needed, with plenty of space. Large fenced garden for the dog and a hot tub for everyone else! Well equipped sunny detached cottage. Thank you for having us 🥰

We have just stayed at The Coach House and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The surroundings are stunning, such a picturesque area and beautiful and quiet. The garden area was amazing for our son to run around in and Steph and Marcus even allowed our son to play on a toy tractor I believe was one of their children’s, which he absolutely loved. The property was great, beautiful and rustic throughout but with beautiful modern touches, the bathroom was especially nice. Sun beaming through the window whilst getting ready in a morning was particularly nice. The hot tub was immaculate and clean and instructions were simple to follow, hosts had all of the wood prepared and ready for use aswell. Overall this has been one of my favourite stays. My family loved it and felt right at home. We went to Snowdon one day and Chester Zoo another, both within a short enough distance and the drive to Snowdon is particularly stunning. 10/10

Our weekend away was great, 100% would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful time away. Jane was a lovely and wonderful host with experience behind her belt which shows through when giving the tour of the house and grounds. She handled everything that we needed with efficiency. The house was beautiful, the scenery was lovely, it was very peaceful and we will be definitely be booking it again down the line.

I booked on Friday afternoon and arrived on Saturday, so was all very last minute, Liz kept in touch and met us there to show us around. Place is very dog friendly. Liz also checked in with us during our stay to see if all was ok. We went for lovely walks and spent time in the spa to relax in the evening, just what we all needed, will be recommending to my friends and family 10/10 many thanks 😊

We had a lovely night at Oak Tree Hideaway. The place was cozy, peaceful, and just perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was clean and well set up, and the surroundings were beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a quiet escape!

We had the most wonderful stay at the cottage. Jan and her husband were so kind, friendly and welcoming. The check in process was super easy and we were given a lovely tour of the cottage and all the facilities. The garden was secure which was great for our dogs. The cottage was super clear and the beds were very comfy. The hot tub was amazing! And the views all around the cottage were breathtaking. There was a really helpful guide in the cottage filled with local recommendations which we found really helpful. My cousin was planning to come visit us whilst we stayed at the cottage in her small camper van, Jan was so kind and allowed her to park in their yard so she could be close to us instead of having to park at a campsite. Their kindness blew us away!

even though it was our friends and their two boys who stayed in the cottage I can firmly say they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. the cottage is set in such a beautiful location. with lots to do and if you wish to venture further also within short driving distances you are close to the historical towns of Macclesfield, Buxton and Leek. a wonderful time was had by all l, thank you to Martin who was a wonderful and attentive host to all reauests throughout their stay. Robert’s was a real ‘home from home’ (sorry for the cliche but it was). We felt right at home in a cute, pristine and peaceful setting that had everything you’d ever need. The beautiful courtyard garden at the rear was right on the towpath but still peaceful to sit out and have breakfast while we watched the world go by slowly - after we’d all slept so, so well. The cottage is also really convenient for Chester which we visited on the Saturday and we were really impressed with the huge variety of shops and restaurants. So we ran out of time for the walkable pubs near the cottage, but appreciated the recommendations and really clear instructions anyway! Thanks Robert for sharing your home and a wonderful stay!

Wow! The Lock House delivered. We had the most incredible stay with family and our 2 dogs. Emma has created such a wonderful space with absolutely everything you could possibly need or want. This was the best Airbnb we've ever stayed at. Secure garden for the dogs and we could walk them straight out of the door and on the canal. The space was immaculately presented and set on a lovely farm with views out of every window. Just perfect.

What a perfect stay! Jo’s place was lovely, it had everything you could need. Was quiet, peaceful, exactly as described. Jo’s guide to the place was so thorough and very helpful. We went on some lovely walks in the area - great location, can get to some really great spots without driving. Will come again :)

This is a great option at an affordable price! The house is in pristine condition, and the rooms are actually slightly larger than they look on the photos! The beds were comfortable, and the decor was great. Dewi was a fantastic host: responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Ruth's place made for a wonderful long weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Despite being outside of the village, the directions were easy to follow and accurate. Upon arrival we were greeted with some essential supplies - very welcome - and a wonderful cottage. Would love to have spent more time exploring the locale on foot, perhaps another time.

A really lovely place to stay! Clean, tidy and peaceful surroundings. Jane was a brilliant host, checking we had everything we needed and always available if we had any questions. Checking In/Out was easy, with clear instructions along with additional information about the accommodation (heating, Wi-Fi etc.). Massive lounge area on the first floor, and the kitchen has all the appliances you need. We would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it anyone.

Nice, clean, peaceful and private, great walks on your doorstep, great views, very comfortable. All the bits and bobs you need, great value for money.

Great location and lovely little touches made by Juile to make it homely. Really enjoyed our stay. One small point for possible improvement could be better mattresses. Apart from that very enjoyable.

What a great find! The cottage was charming and immaculately clean. It's in a beautiful area of the country and couldn't be in a quieter location. We definitely aim to visit again.

Snail Beach cottage is a magical place tucked away in Shrophire which is part of the joy. The cottage & surroundings is full of things to discover. It was spotless & generously equipped with everything you could need or want. We particularly loved the curated art, the collections of objects & colours that sung the story of the owners & the area beautifully. Genevieve & Allan were very kind with leaving cereals, a selection of teas, good coffee, local milk, butter, bread & cake, jam & marmalade to try. We also absolutely loved the shampoo, conditioner & wash - all our favourite things!! We really appreciated the ecofriendly nature of the place & all the products used. Thr selection of books & music is a wonderful addition. The information & maps about the places around is so helpful as this a new area to us and there is so much to explore. We really enjoyed the peace, nature, birdsong and feeling of this place which we felt as soon as we arrived. In short the best Air BnB ever!!!

Nice and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and people. Just a short 10 minute drive to knutsford and close to the motorway which suited my needs.
