Cabin holiday rentals in Madison County

Had a wonderful stay at this cabin. One thing to note is that in the gas fireplace seems to be the only source of heat in the winter. We quickly got over the smell and it we were warm, just surprised by that. Otherwise, very clean and peaceful. Had a great time and would love to stay again.

Our family had such a wonderful get away. The location was perfect, quiet and adorable. The kids absolutely loved the game room. Jeffrey was very helpful when we first arrived. Highly recommend this home for your next vacation location!

Leah's place was fantastic! Beautiful location, and everything was exactly as described. Leah even went out of her way to give extra details about dealing with a sticky door, and her directions were perfect. We had a really relaxing stay, the perfect place to recharge a little between holidays. We've already been talking about staying here again!

This stay was AMAZING. My wife and I decided to stay here for our one year wedding anniversary and I couldn’t be happier that I chose this spot. Everything was clean and comfortable, the host was very responsive and kind, the location was scenic and private, and the hot tub was lovely. Neither of us had a single complaint about our stay. It was an excellent property for what we wanted/needed to do. The property is located in a beautiful setting on the water, surrounded by trees. It was so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. The cabin was perfect for us, with a well-supplied kitchen with everything we needed for our weekend cooking plans. The upstairs bedroom and bath were spacious, super clean, and comfortable. The deck and covered porch were ideal for sitting and looking at the lake or eating outside. The hot tub was a bonus for relaxing and providing relief for aching muscles. If anyone needs a place to unplug and unwind, you will not regret selecting this property. Unfortunately, the fish must have also been on vacation or not hungry; we only caught one small bass, although we saw several larger catfish and bass from the deck but didn't find something they wanted to try to eat.

We visited for a birthday trip and it was just what we needed - a peaceful place to get away. We did a short hike, but the weather made it pretty muddy so we didn't get to explore much of the property. The house was lovely and we enjoyed some hot tub time among the trees.

Beautiful and charming cabin and surroundings. Perfect for a couples retreat. The cabin was well appointed with everything we could possibly need. Susan was very responsive and provided local resources for restaurants & hikes. We just loved cooking and relaxing in the cozy cabin.

Really enjoyed our stay it’s so quiet and relaxing having the lake a few steps away it’s really nice. The house has a very welcoming feeling it’s great. Anytime we’re back in the area we will definitely plan to stay at Josie’s.

What a wonderful, peaceful trip. Liz & Brie were excellent hosts and the cabin is absolutely lovely. I wanted to enjoy some solitude with my pup after a busy holiday season, and this space delivered. Watching the sun set through the trees from the hot tub after a long day of hiking at RRG was a highlight. I didn't get a chance to build a fire, but the fire-pit area was adorable and the vast yard was great for my dog to romp through and sniff around. Everything was spotless and very well-kept. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything I needed to cook all my meals at the cabin. The supplied dog items were a nice touch - I didn't have to travel with dog bowls or a bed so I was able to lighten my load a bit. I would love to revisit the cabin in the spring or summer to get to enjoy the great outdoor space a bit more, but the inside was quaint and cozy and perfect for cuddling up with a book and some wine and getting away from it all :) we definitely hope to return! My husband and I came down for a weekend of trail riding with our Jeep club and for my birthday. Mark had gotten me a birthday cake and left a note saying Happy Birthday! That was the sweetest thing. We absolutely loved this beautiful, cozy, lovely cabin. We highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful and relaxing stay. We felt right at home and Mark is a fantastic host. We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway. We definitely will be staying here again and we can’t wait. Thank you Mark!

The location of this place was perfect with one of the best views. The rustic cabin was charming. I would like to stay there again.

Scott was an incredible host who was eager to make sure you had the absolute best experience. He emphasized that we could reach out to him if we needed anything. He gave through descriptive instructions to make sure we had no issues finding the property; which takes so much stress out of traveling to a place that is unfamiliar to you. The cabin was immaculate and absolutely cozy. My number one thing when traveling is cleanliness and everything was in top shape. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful. We would love to visit again in a warmer month so we could fully enjoy all the outdoor amenities. Value for your money is absolutely there! 5 out of 5 experience!

Felicia is a fantastic host. We enjoyed our stay so much. The kitchen was full of every cooking appliance/tool you could need. The bathroom was very nice and the bed is super comfortable. We had absolutely no complaints. The area is very peaceful and you are very secluded. The gravel hill to get up to the property is no joke! Be prepared with 4 wheel drive and high clearance. 10/10 would recommend!

We loved our stay on the farm! The place was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids were thrilled with all the animals and especially enjoyed visits from the friendly Great Pyrenees dogs. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t smell like a farm at all! Sandy and Martin were so friendly and helpful, making our stay even better. We also bought some of the farm’s sausage, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a unique and enjoyable experience!

Everything was fantastic! First, Jennifer was a terrific host, very communicative and responsive! Second, the cabin is just like described! It was clean, very comfortable, and quiet! A perfect getaway for several days! There is a close hiking area that we enjoyed! The cabin had everything we needed and even had great hot water!! Only one suggestion for the host, we wish the house just had a few board games or cards for some family time! The extra house next door did have a fuse ball table, piano, and washer and dryer! Overall, terrific stay!

My husband and I loved and enjoyed our month long stay at Patty's place, Serenity Cabin, from the moment we walked in till the day we left. The place has been nicely decorated, very clean and has the amenities needed during our stay especially in the kitchen. We definitely felt welcomed. Patty has given us clear instructions on how to get there. She also has been responsive to our inquiries and very mindful of our needs and safety especially when the cold rainy weather arrived. We never got tired watching the sunrise from the bedroom window and the amazing sunset from the deck. You can hear the sound of nature that surround you but feel relaxed and peaceful. We surely will be back the next time we visit our daughter and her family. Thank you Patty for sharing your piece of heaven with us. Till next time and many blessings to you and your family. Great house with lots of space for everyone! Would totally recommend it..you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoy our time at this cute little cabin. Laura had everything you could think of and more. Location is everything for us when searching for a place to stay. This place was a happy medium for us and especially right off the interstate without the interstate noise! We will definitely be back and recommend this home to anyone!

Awesome stay at this cabin. Close to Lexington and Louisville for great distilleries and exploring. Close to hiking and the town itself has everything you need and good eats, super nice people. The cabin itself is very rustic but we appreciate that aspect itself. Had everything you needed to be comfortable, and the sunrise was beautiful looking at the mountains. Peace on the porch, and an overall a great visit.

Jennifer’s cabin was perfect for us. The location is charming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend both Jennifer and Happiness Hills Cabins.

We absolutely loved staying here. Unfortunately our plans only allowed us to stay for two nights, just wish we had more time.
