Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Mad River

We had a great 3 night stay for a family ski trip to Stowe. The place was much nicer than the pictures give it credit for! Felt pretty updated and we loved the art/decor. The 2 br and 2 full baths are on the 2nd floor. Our kids stayed in the br with 2 smaller twins (beds perfect for smaller kids & fit our middle schooler, but beds likely not big enough for taller adults/teens!). AirBNB was stocked with games, and we didn't have time for the pool/hot tub, but was a quick drive through the parking lot. We bought food at the organic grocery a few minutes away for snacks/breakfasts, but had lunch/dinner out. Piecasso and Idyletime were both great meals and only a few minute drive away. We ended up driving to the mountain and (paid) parking wasn't an issue in the mornings, but over the holidays, parking filled up at the main lots by afternoon. The shuttle bus is a close walk, but parking at the resort was surprisingly easy. Thank you!! Would definitely recommend!!

Stayed here for a few days at Killington. Peaceful neighborhood would recommend if you’re looking for a place to crash.

We loved Andria's home, she was responsive, kind, flexible, and available. The place was clean, warm, and inviting. The dog park is only a 3 min drive or you can also walk. There were spare linens, all amenities that you would need and a spacious yard if you have children or a dog(s). We were happily snowed in and had to change our plans to stay longer and were grateful for the 2 feet of snow! The location makes it easy to get to everything. The house is designed such that if you have two separate parties, there are actually two suites each with their own coffee, fridge, bathroom and TV -- with a bonus futon room. Thank you for sharing your place with us! We would love to return :) Laurie and Kyle.

Stayed at this cozy cabin for a couple days with my family and we absolutely loved it. Beautiful home with stunning views of Elmore Mountain, highly recommend!

Barbara's place is a real gem. So clean, with a beautiful mix of antique and woodsy modern furniture, and a wonderfully comfortable living area overlooking a meandering brook which a few hundred yards down the road leads to the lake. The kitchen was well-equipped and modern, and beddings and beds were very comfortable. While the house was close too a busy road, we didn't hear a thing, and for summer users the deck is completely away from the road, overlooking the brook. Even more than we expected.

Lovely stay! We would come back. Easily accommodated 6 of us with loads of room to spread out. Comfy beds, clean, stylish, gorgeous neighborhood. Lovely lovely!!!

We were very happy with Meghan’s property while visiting UVM. It was perfect for our trip. We hope to be invited back.

We had a very comfortable stay. The setting on the river was quite peaceful, and the home was comfortable. It was a quick drive to Norwich University to watch hockey and visit our daughter, also a quick drive into Montpelier. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals in, and we enjoyed setting the puzzle. We will definitely stay again when we come back for another visit.

I spent a lovely week in Carson and Eugene's property. Communication with the hosts was easy before and during the stay. The space is thoughtfully designed and impeccably clean. I am often in Vermont and would love to stay again.

Very clean Homie, feel the bed was amazing. The hot tub water was hot, which is always a plus had a great time. Would recommend this to anyone that loves Vermont especially the ski areas of Stow J Peak and mad River Glen all within perfect distance.

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at Sue’s place. We met her husband as well, and he was so kind and helpful. It was accurately described, very clean, and she was very responsive. We were impressed with how much light the apartment let in the middle of winter. The backyard views were incredible. It was an absolutely perfect stay for what we needed. We visited the college and were only five minutes from the campus. The town is very cute with everything we needed right there at our fingertips. We would 10 out of 10 highly recommend and come back at any time of year. This is a property that would be beautiful during every season.

Beautiful place to stay! Hosts were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Amazing value for the price! Just outside of the city but close enough to explore and discover many hidden gems. Would definitely recommend!

I have so many wonderful things to say about Taraleigh and Dan— they were both such wonderful hosts. It snowed over a foot the night before morning check out and Dan woke up early to shovel / dig my car out so we could leave (I’m disabled and it would have taken me forever // wrecked my body to do so myself). The place was clean, cozy, and warm. Kitchen was great and served the needs we had!! We loved cooking— and there was enough plates/cutlery, etc No dishwasher, but we wash our dishes at home anyways so we didn’t mind. Bathroom is LARGE and the shower has GREAT water pressure. Comfy couch too— we watched TV all day when it was snowing haha Overall, a very cozy basement unit. We could hear people walking around upstairs in the main house unit but we didn’t mind (mentioning this only for ppl who are light sleepers). 10/10 would stay here again!!

Place worked out great for 2 guys for 2 nights. We didn't even pull out the couch, it was comfy enough to sleep right on. First floor access was perfect, and condo was easy to get into. Super close to parking lot for transporting gear in and out. We used it as a jumping off point to ski Jay Peak, which worked perfect. I wouldn't call it true ski on/off, as we did have to walk across the parking lot and catch a shuttle to get to the mountain mountain trails, but access was still VERY convenient. Everything worked perfect and would surely recommend and would stay here again!

Extremely nice cabin, very recently renovated. The owner has a keen eye for organization, everything is neatly placed where it should be. Linens are clean, beds were super comfortable. Amazing stay, thank you Cathy

Fantastic condo to rent. Kitchen is well appointed (we LOVED having well-stocked coffee!) and all sleeping arrangements worked great. Cannot beat proximity to Stowe/Mt. Mansfield and to restaurants/bars.

Emmy’s place was perfect for a ski weekend at Killington! Well stocked, good location, and she was super responsive.

Great location for pico mountain. The ski on ski off was pretty easy to find and nicely located. The location is slightly less ideal for killington, as you need to take a shuttle that has multiple stops. We also ended up on a bigger bus to take us back from Killington and the drop off was on the main road, which was a bit difficult to walk on in our snow gear. Overall, nice apartment and perfect for my group of friends.

Very comfortable stay - convenient to ski wither Sugarbush or Mad River. Philip sent specific instructions for turning the heat up on arrival. It took a little while to warm up, but individual thermostats in LR and BR worked nicely. Local recommendations for restaurants and such were spot on.

This place was absolutely fantastic! Everything was exactly as described, and it exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with our family and friends. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, making it easy for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. We loved the thoughtful touches and the cozy atmosphere. This was the perfect place for a ski getaway at Smuggs for our family of four. The condo has easy access to the Village lift (and shops/restaurants) on Morse mountain and enabled us to take midday breaks from skiing to warm up and have lunch. Cara was super responsive and helpful leading up to and during our stay. Excellent overall value. 10/10.
