Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Rotoiti

We had an amazing few days at the most beautiful location and house! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all requests. The house was beautiful and fitted our three families perfectly. The location couldn't be better, and the kids loved riding their bikes out front and walk down to the playground. We loved being able to swim right at the doorstep and jump on the boat with ease. An amazing place!

Exceeded all our expections, it was worth every penny and would highly recommend.

This was such a spacious clean home to stay in with everying you needed from plunger to kids toys to adult board games. A quick drive to Bayfair and 10 min walk to the beach. Great for a big family.

A lovely, welcoming home, really well equipped, very comfortable. Communication was great from start to finish and every everything in the house had clear instructions which was very helpful. We will definitely stay again

We stayed at this stunning place for our wedding weekend! Our bridal party got ready here and it was just perfect! Pukehina lost water on my wedding morning and the host were so quick to respond even at 6am - they were so helpful! We enjoyed this house so much, it really has everything you could possibly think and more! I could not recommend this place more - not only because of how absolutely stunning it is, but the hosts were absolutely fantastic!

We stayed five nights with our children (4 and 5 years). The location is perfect! It’s close to everything in and around Rotorua, but it’s located in a very calm, peaceful and beautiful place. We loved the house and the location right by the lake. We unfortunately had quite bad weather with lots of rain, but it was a really nice house to stay in even in bad weather. The house is very comfortable and have everything you need! Communication with the host went smoothly. Would definitely recommend!!

Danny and Aimee's place is 3x as idyllic as it looks in the pictures! This is truly the place to stay if you want to relax and be right on the water. Great cafe five minutes walk and Rotorua and great sites are only 10-20 minutes away. They've thought of everything! Bread, jam and butter in the refrigerator and muesli ingredients in the cupboard made me not only feel welcome, but pampered. It' so nice when hosts think of the little touches. The bed was sumptuous and they have a big rain shower. It felt like staying at a very elegant hotel with a view to the sea (except in this case, a very big lake :-). You are literally on the water! I arrived and Aimee immediately told me I was welcome to use the Kayaks or paddle boards so I went out for a paddle. Later after watching the sun set, I capped my evening in the hot tub. In the morning you wake to the most beautiful sunrise with the black swans and other water birds swimming past. Truly one of my best stays.

Staying at Lucy's was like being in a dream. The perfect, idyllic, lakeside Kiwi-bach, this place matches all descriptions and photos. This place has everything - from a cozy fireplace, to kayaks to explore the lake and a modern bathroom, our family absolutely enjoyed staying here. There was a lot to do and keep yourself entertained with, we didn't struggle with having no wifi. The location is great, only 30 minutes to Rotorua and a lot of places to sightsee on the way there. The only downside of this place is that since it's close to the road there is some traffic noise, especially when big trucks go by. It wasn't an issue for us when staying there since we're city dwellers and accompanied to traffic noise, but if you're a light sleeper definitely bring ear plugs.

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

The location was great—just a short walk to the beach, with shops nearby. We were a bit worried since we have two infants and a preschooler, but the house was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful family stay!

We had a wonderful stay and the space catered for all our needs. Tarawera is a magical spot, and this venue allowed us time together without WiFi and the busyness of city life. The reserve and swings, trampoline and bbq area were major bonuses. Thank you for opening this special space for us to use. We recommend for families who love nature and the beauty that Tarawera has to offer!

This is a fantastic place to stay with all you need. Great indoor, outdoor living. Beautiful lake and easy home for all to enjoy. Lynley was very responsive and accommodating and we’d happily recommend and stay again.

Lovely spacious living area. Had a good variety of amenities, utensils at hand in kitchen. Simple things like plenty of pots, pans, plates and cutlery, dish wash tabs, magazines and crosswords, made relaxing in the house really easy. Very simple but functional bathroom. Great out door space. Plenty for dogs to roam. We misunderstood the ‘fully fenced’ fencing wasn’t actually very high. Luckily we had our long leads and dogs enjoyed the space anyway. Walking distance to lakes - and was nice and close to our race start line!

Thanks for accepting a very last minute booking. Beautiful batch was great for the dogs to swim and relax all day with the lake as your front yard. Kayaks were a treat and we were given great recommendations on where the local hot spots to paddle to were. This was simple living and it’s not too far from Rotorua city centre. It is tricky to find the accom during the night so would be best to get there before sun fall.

Greg’s and his place were absolutely amazing and the perfect place to get turned around after 30 hours of travelling. The gorgeous vista along the River and comfortable quiet and serene accommodations was great for all our needs. The hot tub was glorious and watching the sunsets and sunrises from the expansive deck was breathtaking!!! Our travel into Rotorua was a beautiful and easy drive from our accommodations. Our tour of the dairy farm with Angela and Joe was such a great extra pleasure and all of us enjoyed meeting both the managers and herd!!! We are so happy that our New Zealand experience started at Greg’s and we hope to return for a much longer stay in the future because it was a “piece of heaven!” Thank you Greg!!!

Fantastic relaxing weekend in this little country getaway. We loved toasting marshmallows on the fire pit and listening to the cicadas by day and crickets by night! Felt like we were miles away from anywhere. Visited Flat White in Wahi Beach for a fabulous breakfast/brunch and also recommend the Cider Factorie 20 minutes south for a tasty lunch and ‘paddle’ of pick n’ mix ciders :-)

The best place to relax. Clean and private. Stunning location. Will definitly be back and recommend it to everyone.
