Holiday houses in Lake Okataina

The house was lovely and spacious and very homely. And we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We loved that the water was uv treated rainwater so no chemicals! It was a nice central spot to go to places like hobbtion, blue springs, tauranga and rotorua. The kids loved it there and I think we'd all be be keen to visit again sometime. It just made our holiday! Thank you so much!

What a spot!! absolute beachfront, high up on the hill overlooking the beach. We booked for our wedding night, but hosts were flexible with an early check in so the bridal party could get ready. Don't book if you don't like listening to the roar of the ocean when it's windy, but if you find it soothing like us, then it's perfect! Nice stairs down to the sand, perfect for a walk, and a nice deck area. The undercover area with fire is so nice for that bad weather but wanting a cosy spot to relax. I have zero complaints, place was spotless, nicely laid out and great parking. We are local to the Pukehina area, but if we ever need to book somewhere there again, this will be first on this list! Can’t say anything bad about this house. It’s was the best place we had stayed in while visiting nz from Australia. My son booked his own place and when he visited us he was so disappointed in what he got and they paid more than our place. Believe what you read about the description on this home.

Excellent location. Spacious house with everything we needed.

Delwyn and Sara were quick to respond to any communication. They obviously understood families as they supplied extra linen and towels. We appreciated being able to have our family dogs with us, and they had a great time too. We appreciated the offer of a late check out to enjoy the sunshine after an otherwise very wet and blustery stay.

The kind of place I love; clean, homeley, friendly and without pretention. Clean, spacious, comfortable and very reasonably priced. Comfortable beds, great shower and the cat and rabbit added a huge layer of happy for us all. backs on to a beautiful reserve and great for walking.

Very nice spacious 4 bedroom home. Though we used only one room, the living room was very spacious, kitchen very huge with a good dining table. All thanks to the host. The car park was secure & great.All aspects were covered. we felt like being in home away from home.

Our host was amazing! We we're able to check in earlier than 2:00 and entrance into the home was effortless. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a large sign welcoming our family to their home. They also left a personal note along with a basket of goodies for us to enjoy❤️. The home was beautiful and extremely clean! We enjoyed our time here and feel very blessed to have been able to stay here. Thank you again to Nathan and his family!
