Monthly Rentals in Lake Casitas

A perfect place to be quiet in a natural setting. The cabin has a very California wabi sabi vibe. All details in design and furnishings are high taste and high quality. The neighborhood has a natural feel, oaks all round. Birds flourish. I checked out the dawn chorus every morning to hear the first birds. It might be the Bewick’s wren, oak titmouse, spotted towhee, lesser goldfinch, mockingbird. In my two weeks I saw or heard a total of 74 bird species at the cabin or within short drives. I recommend this spot highly, and Charlie and his wife were perfect hosts.

We loved our stay there. Rikka’s place was exactly “ as advertised”, all in order, impeccable. Her suggestions of what to do in the area were a plus, from restaurants, trails etc. And she was always very responsive to any messages we exchanged. So… we strongly recommend, both for a shorter or longer stay.

This is a lovely studio, comfortable bed , bath and living room, small kitchen but everything you need. The mountain view from the patio is extraordinary, and the cottage is private and quiet. Near Ventura River Preserve for great hiking, and Meiners Oaks for funky old California vibes and good restaurants. Sooz lives on the property, very helpful , friendly and respectful of privacy. We visit our kids in Ojai frequently, and will be back. Gracias!
