Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Kyoto

We really enjoyed our stay at Kiyomi’s place. It’s located very close to Kyoto Station, convenience stores, bus stops and also Aeon mall. The house was pristine clean and felt so homey. We will definitely recommend Kiyomi’s place to our friends!

We stayed at Shino’s place for 6 nights ， Excellent place and wonderful host! Central to everything around. Walking distance to the train station, in a quite neighborhood. The most comfortable tatami I have slept on!!!:) Shino and あおい is very responsive to our questions and showed great hospitality! Will definitely choose this place if I go to Kyoto travel again !

We stayed three weeks in Hiroe's house and it was wonderful. Hiroe is a fantastic host. I have been visiting Kyoto for forty years, staying in various places but this was the best. I hope to be able to return in the future and I highly recommend Hiroe's house, a very quiet place not far from public transport and the supermarket. Thanks Hiroe!

Very convenient to JR line, Inari Shrine (10,000 gates), another subway line, a cute market and shops, and of course 7-11. We loved it. It was perfect.

Kimi and Marilyn were very friendly, helpful and responsive hosts. Their place was just as advertised. They kept it really clean and the house was very complete. It was in a great location as it is easily accessible by bus, train and only a 20 minutes walk to Kiyomizudera. There were also plenty of restaurants close by. Kimi and Marilyn were really nice to come and meet us on our last day to check in with us. We are a big group of 9 and are very happy to recommend this place to future travellers.

I drove here from karuizawa, he allowed us to check in late,very comfortable with my two kids, we also can cook happily,because as muslim it’s hard to find halal food in japan.. can wash cloth.. and very near with dotonburi and others attractions..

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Yoshihiro was excellent with communication and very helpful. We received a lovely welcome note and basket of treats. The apartment is spacious with two tables to sit at and a kotatsu which my adult children loved. The kitchen has everything you need although we ate out as there are many restaurants to choose from. There is a nice Nepalese / Indian restaurant close by. There are stairs up to the property and inside, which everywhere in Japan tend to be steeper than the UK. The apartment was clean and tidy and had different towels available, the bedding, (December) was very cosy. The area around is modern with excellent pavements and there are several rail stations close by, JR Shin-Osaka is around a 15 minute walk and we used another closer station about 5 minutes away. We would definitely stay here again if we came to the Osaka area.

My husband and I along with our 10 month old baby just spent the most amazing 5 nights at this airbnb. Not only was the accomodation even better than the pictures but Omoide was an amazing host. Below are just some of the things that made this a fantastic stay that we would highly recommend to anyone, especially if travelling with a baby of kids: - very easy to access, close to train stations and walking distance to beautiful neighbourhoods including Gion - walking distance to great places to eat, breweries and bars as well as cafes - extremely clean/beautifully decorated with traditional decor - all the amenities you could need including cooking utensils, bathroom and toiletries supplies - extremely comfortable beds - fantastic supply of baby items including travel cott, baby bath, high chair and cute toys - the most thoughtful host, Omoide sent us personalised recommendations, was so Quick to respond and allowed us to check in early. We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was spacious yet cosy, got plenty of light, had a nice street view, was tastefully furnished and fully equiped (we didn’t cool but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped), and spotlessly clean. It was also very convenient to shops, restaurants and public transport, and was a refreshing break from hotel stays. May was very helpful and welcoming (she was even waiting for us on the street when we arrived!).

Asami hosted to what I can confidently say is the best stay I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Asami and Daniel were incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming the moment we arrived. Aside from getting local recommendations and a personable tour of the neighborhood, the space itself was so cozy. We had everything we needed and no detail was left unchecked. The free use of the bikes was also a highlight to our stay. Without a doubt if I needed to stay in Kyoto again I would look to Asami.

Aika was a fantastic host - from allowing me a early check in to having all the amenities (including water) so neatly laid out. Loved the location that was quiet yet central. Room was spacious by Japan standards. Would highly recommend

great place for the price and had everything I need to washer machine bath, bidet and a small kitchen with microwave toaster oven. but the only thing was that's the electric boiler wasn't working

Great place! In a quiet residential neighborhood.

Ken is an extremely friendly and helpful host. He came to greet us and explained everything to us and gave us lots of tips for things to do. He helped us organise our trip to the airport and ordered a taxi for us. The flat has everything you need and a big balcony out to the river. The area is very central and private at the same time. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Functional and quite spacious apartment! Everything was very good and not too far from Kyoto's main street and Gon neighborhood! I recommend it!

very Easy to find，very beautiful Home。

Great location, walking distance to both train stations and quick 18 mins to city center. The house is clean and spacious for 3-4 people and is fully equipped with all utilities and smallest details.

Overall my stay at this airbnb was great, not too far from the bus stop, about 5-8 mins of walking. Most importantly a 7/11 at the corner of the block. Also a 8-10 minute walk to the store strip such as disney, apple, uniqlo, nike ect. The host did provide towels and wifi which is great. You have access to an elevator so no need to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Beautiful and clean! The just let drop our suitcases off early which was super helpful. The location is perfect with lots to do in walking distance. There’s a shelf to store suitcases, we were able to comfortable fit 3 checked bags (two top open suitcases and one clamshell suitcase) with extra room to spare. Wifi was pretty fast too!

We stayed with 7 people.It was spacious and relaxing like a home, and my elderly parents were satisfied.There was no trouble with the large dining room with all the dishes in the kitchen.It was also close to Kawaramachi, and we were able to drive, but it was a convenient place to park!

Great location. Lots of space. Good communication, very responsive. Bath was nice, and view out of the windows was a nice feature. Sometimes we could hear the noise late at night from the bar across the hall, but it wasn’t too bad. Definitely recommend.

We truly had an incredible time in Kyoto, and it brought us so much joy knowing we had a lovely place to return to after exploring the city. That was Seth’s place. Seth was wonderfully helpful and always quick to respond, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The accommodations were simply superb, offering an authentic Ryokan experience that we cherished. The location couldn't be better—just a short and pleasant walk to Sannenzaka, Ninnenzaka, and Kiyomizu-dera. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Kyoto!

this place was a great location - 4 min walk to the nearest local station & 2 stops from kyoto station. cool to stay in this house and we loved how many rooms there were. would definitely stay again!
