Hostel holiday rentals in Kyoto

We loved our stay in Kyoto. We were able to arrive early and had a warm welcome. We had a map of the neighborhood with the interesting activities to do as well as a map of public transportation. The neighborhood is super nice. The only "negative" point is that we had the room on the ground floor so we heard a lot of noise with the comings and goings of the different residents and the noise from the kitchen. Nonetheless, we will return without hesitation. Everyone is adorable!

We loved our stay here. The room was the most spacious on our trip to Japan. The cafe downstairs served great coffee, it’s nice to just get up in the morning and not have to walk anywhere for breakfast.!The place was perfectly clean, warm, and comfortable. Staff were great too. Highly recommend.

It's an amazing accommodation that's also very comfortable! You will learn more about the good restaurants (including bakeries) and also must-see/experience of the surrounding area during the onboarding session 😁 The wall and floor is a bit thin (which I heard is common in japanese style housing) so if you're a light sleeper, it might be an issue (but I sleep like a log so personally it didn't matter to me😬) There's also a shared space on the first floor (kitchen) and 3rd floor (kinda like a library? unfortunately I didn't get to spend time to look around when I stayed though) Thank you Nana, Yusuke, and everyone at the Expo Cottage & Hostel 😁

This is a hostel but not like any hostel in USA. So clean, private, safe, and comfortable. Wang greeted us and made wonderful recommendations so we went to he Monkey Park (WOW) amazing views in their habitat and views, then Hot Springs and Bamboo forest all within walking distance. Ate and drank and local places recommended that we would never have found. Next day - took Uber to Golden Temple. Such a short stay but did so much. Thank you Mulan and Wang! Highly recommend.

It is very clean and comfortable, especially the shower room and bathroom are very clean, the surrounding transportation is also relatively convenient, the front desk staff is super cute and enthusiastic, I like ~

Wonderful place to stay in Kyoto! The hosts made sure to provide us the warmest welcome by explaining us the area and giving us recommendations. Their kindness has been outstanding. The room is very private (you can lock the door) and beautiful! We loved the morning sun light and the warm colors of the room! We will recommend this place to everyone who wants to visit Kyoto!

My favorite stay in Japan so far. Real traditional sleeping in a gorgeous guesthouse. The communal areas are very cozy, and surrounding area is very walkable! Absolutely recommend!

It was nice that it consisted of self check-in. I was able to leave my luggage before check-in time, so it was also good for sightseeing. The soundproofing was a little disappointing, but I was satisfied with the price, so I want to visit again next time I travel to Kyoto.

The house is beautiful, about 19 min to the sta.There is a reason the host advised to get there before sunset, there are no street lights.I am very sorry that the host had a white run at night without receiving me and felt kindness.There is a large soaking pool to relax in.The kitchen has three big refrigerators, which was great!

I liked the most that it had individual heating. It was warm. Instead, it was dry, so body lotion and toner packs are essential! You changed the towels every day, so I slept with them spread out.👍 The check-in and messages were very friendly. I had a really good stay alone for a low price, so I definitely want to use it again next time: D

The hostel is very neat and clean. Pods are spacious and good enough for one person. The staff were friendly. The location is very good. The shower will be closed for cleaning between 10AM to 3PM. I anyway used to have shower in the night. Overall , im happy with my stay.

I stayed one night here and it was exactly what I expected and the way it is described in the listing. I was happy w my stay. Most notable was the very kind, open, friendly, helpful staff. The evening and morning I was there, the vibe seemed very light and nice—guests and staff alike.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Really friendly and kind hosts. The facilities like showers bath etc are all super clean and everything you need. It’s not too big of a hostel so peaceful and bed was perfect. It has a restaurant attached which guests get discount at and it’s cheap and great food. You can also eat your own food or just sit and work there. What really makes it is Junko and the other hosts, they are so friendly and helpful.
