The place was fantastic! The open terrace was where we spent most of the time as family. Shaun is an amazing host! He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He was there at 2 am to make sure we get to his place easily and settle down comfortably. It’s a nice place surrounded by homes — it’s gives a feeling of belonging if someone likes village setting. Quite near to the Varkala North cliff, yet quite distant to give a feel of staying in a beach town village. The place reflects Shaun’s passion for everything travel. Highly recommend if someone is looking for a homely accommodation in a nice quaint surroundings.

It was a memorable stay for us at Joyis’s place. It felt like home. Mr. Vincent the caretaker was a great person and is readily available in person and on call also. He let us have early check in at 13:00 hrs on request. He also arranged rolling pin and roller on our request for making chapatis. The beach can be accessed from back side of house and is at walkable distance of around 100 mtrs.

family friendly accommodation. 2 big bedroom, spacious living room, dining room, separate kichen and private balcony. vehicle can park inside the property. the place was as per the description. the host and their family staying nearby, always respond to our request. parcel food available in 30 minutes from near by hotels. 4 properties in one compound, highly recommed for group travellers.

This was a great location and a great home for our trip. It had all the amenities we needed and was very spacious. The host was very gracious and easy to communicate with. I recommend anyone coming to the city to stay here!

It was actually a very good stay, we both enjoyed very much and it was peaceful, and the surroundings where good. Everything provided by the host was very well appreciated, and the main part of the stay was, the breakfast they provided was tasty and it was like a homely feel.
