Monthly Rentals in Kohala

Amy was an amazing host! I stayed here for 2 months with my partner and we loved it! The property was beautiful and sauna amazing! The bed was very comfortable and the studio was connected to the house but was very private with our own yard area where I felt comfortable tanning or reading in the sun. It was extremely quiet and peaceful. Amy and Peter tended to our needs and worked hard to assure we were taken care of! They often went out of their way for us! It was a wonderful time and this part of Hawai’i is beautiful and underrated. The snorkeling at Kappa beach and Mahukona were some of the best we found on the island during these summer months. There are some great restaurants around including Founding Father’s ice cream, Gills Lanai, and Rainbow Cafe. And the shaved ice place in Hawi was amazing as well. Loved it!

Orang and Larry made our stay so easy and comfortable. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed in the house and also while we explored the island. It was great getting to know them and looked forward to our daily quick chats with them before we headed out for the day. Mahalo Orange and Larry!

We were in Hawaii for a short visit and wanted to avoid the tourist bustle of Kona and Waikoloa. Lea and Pat's place was just what we were looking for. This in-law unit behind the main house had everything we needed. Being 2000 feet above sea level made for much milder temperatures. It was lovely sleeping in the comfy bed with the windows open. Kamuela is a short hop to Waimea, with coffee shops and restaurants. The location was extremely central to everything on the island, just a 20 minute drive to beaches on the Kawaihae Coast and close to the saddle road to Hilo and a day trip to Volcanoes National Park. Lea and Pat were wonderful hosts and very responsive to any questions. Mahalo!

We had the pleasure of staying at Bonnie and Davids home and chatting with them. They were welcoming, thoughtful, kind, helpful, and really made our stay more enjoyable and memorable than anticipated and exceeded our expectations. The home is very well equipped with everything  you need especially for travellers that pack light. The place was spacious, bright with lots of windows, spacious terrace to relax outside with a beautiful tropical rainforest garden view.  Good location to be away from busy traffic and the hustle and bustle yet a good central point to explore the whole island of all the beautiful nature attractions has to offer such as the volcanos, waterfalls, beaches etc. Definitely recommend! We wish them all the best!
