Monthly Rentals in Knickerbocker Lakes

Nathan’s cottage was wonderfully cozy and perfect for a weekend getaway! The kitchen was fully supplied with all sorts of pots and pans and plenty of different cups and even a cocktail shaker! We were very excited to stay in one night to cook dinner and stir up some drinks! The fire was awesome, too, and warmed up the place nicely as we came in from the cold. Beyond the kitchen, we took full advantage of the DVD player and deck of cards and board games. Nathan gave us wonderful recommendations for nearby stores and trails to check out as he dropped us off fresh scones each morning. It was everything we could have asked for and more! Thank you, Nathan!

Just returned from a two nights stay at Robert’s. We both enjoyed our time there very much. Everything was just as described and we had everything we needed during our stay. We were even able to make a few easy meals to save on dining out which was helpful. Robert made some great suggestions on how to make the most of our time in the Boothbay area. We hope to return for another visit during the summer months.

This airbnb is well-hosted by people who clearly have done this for a while and thought about what guests want and need. The setup was perfectly comfortable to host 4 (2 couples) and could have even hosted more perfectly well. The location on the lake is so serene, especially in the mornings and evenings. We deeply enjoyed the chance to see the stars with such clear skies and a picture-perfect reflection on the placid lake. We were fortunate that the weather was quite nice for November and we were able to kayak on the water. Even though there are other buildings around the lake, it did not feel like we sacrificed any degree of privacy, due to how the property is situated and the environs are landscaped. On the whole, there were no issues and all who stayed there had a wonderful time.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This place is like heaven. We came in the off-season and it was more beautiful than I could ever imagine. The view from the balcony is the view of a lifetime. This is without a doubt the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at as well as Dorothy and Normand being the best hosts imaginable. They made sure we were taken care of. The house is extremely private overlooking the water Dorothy and Normand provide every possible bit of information regarding restaurants, points of interest, hiking trails and they are always available to provide any suggestions. We are definitely coming back multiple times. I could go on and on how amazing our stay was. They are truly the greatest hosts ever on Airbnb and we have stayed at a lot of magnificent places. Thank you both for such a wonderful and memorable experiences of a lifetime. We will never forget it.
