We had a very interesting experience at Hanthanapitiya Walawwa! Prabath, the caretaker, was very welcoming, and he did a wonderful job of sharing the history of the house and Victoria Lake with us. The property itself is fascinating and full of unexpected surprises, not to mention the stunning views! We will definitely be back again!

Great location. Very central. Beautiful panoramic view of the Kandy lake opposite the temple. Must be one of the best balconies in town. Quiet, as the apartment is a bit away from the noisy lakefront street. Beautifully furnished apartment. The host is very responsive, kind and flexible. Very much enjoyed our stay. Recommendable. Will definitely book again for my next visit to Kandy.

If you are looking for a really beautiful place with a stunning view in a remote and peaceful setting, look no further. The villa is beautifully decorated and furnished and the view of the green mountains are just stunning. You will be taken care of Janaka and his wife, and she cooks the most amazing dinners for you. The villa is in a rather remote area, close to other houses, but with no other restaurants nearby. we visited a temple nearby and took part in some celebrations with all the locals and it was a great and authentic experience for us. On our last day the owner arranged a really nice transfer for us to the north of Sri Lanka. Thank you for a really good stay.

Wasana is an excellent host! We had to change our reservation thrice due to change in our plans and not once was there any issue in flexibility. The rooms are spacious, the property is very beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was Sri Lankan food, home mafe, tasty and a great way to start the day! Wasana is a really warm host and made our stay very comfortable.

Amazing place to stay! So clean and luxurious. You get a private balcony overlooking a beautiful creek and it’s such a cozy room. They are also great hosts and very attentive and helpful. They even agreed to hold our luggage while we are off hiking. We have not been able to try the food yet but it is very reasonably priced. Only negative is the wifi does not work great. Will be back again soon!
