Vanessa, Was a wonderful and attentive host. We came to play Warhammer for the weekend with a group of us and was able to utilise the games room for this. Beautiful Scenery and very peaceful. Would recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful break at this beautiful place, waking to the dawn chorus every day, listening to the owls in the evening, and even saw a couple of deer in the garden, absolutely beautiful. The spa was lovely, and was such a great experience to have it to ourselves, we felt very relaxed after our long weekend stay. Fordingbridge not far to eat and drink/shop for groceries, and beautiful New Forest walks only a few minutes in the car, would highly recommend, thank you so much… and the welcome cake was lovely too!

A comfortable and peaceful place, with good walks and pubs with great food nearby. Giles was fast and easy to communicate with, and checkin and out was easy. The only slight drawback we found was that we were using the space for a work get together, but the bedrooms and bathrooms are more set up for two families sharing as each level had a main bedroom with an ensuite and a smaller bedroom suitable for kids, so 4 individual adults sharing the space didn't work that well for us. But the communal space was great, and for a family holiday it would be perfect.

This is a gem in the middle of the forest, a very rare find indeed. About a 10 min drive from the nearest town, its easy to get groceries and supplies for the stay. Jo was absolutely fantastic as a host and made sure we had everything we might need. She even lit up the lovely fireplace before our arrival to make sure we felt warm and cosy from the very start. My kid was more excited than us as he was thoroughly occupied with the books, Nintendo wii games and the numerous toys he could lay his hands on and the chickens roaming around during the day lit up his mood as well. There was a bit of a water issue on the first day but even before we had noticed anything, Jo came upfront and made sure we were not affected. Keep it up Jo, looking forward to visiting your place in the future.

Our first proper visit to Dartmoor was a great experience, largely thanks to the comforts of Francesca’s beautiful barn. It is “in the middle of nowhere” yet only just down the road really from a pub and shop. The location offers a perfect place to explore the local area. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and the bedrooms were comfortable. It is well laid out as part of three houses together and offers considerable privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was an impromptu weekend away for myself and I’m so glad I did it! Jo and Trevor provide a handy folder with ideas of places to visit and things to do, so I made the most of their walk suggestions (bring wellies, so glad I had mine!!!) and had a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing time away. Just a tip - it can be confusing arriving in the dark and pouring rain, so try and arrive while it’s still light, then you can also make the most of the gorgeous sunset from the window. 😊

A Perfect Stay for My Daughter and Me!** We absolutely loved our stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, the host was super responsive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The property was exactly as described, and the highlight of our trip was seeing the animals on-site. My daughter was over the moon with excitement—she couldn’t stop talking about them! Unfortunately, due to our travel plans, we didn’t get enough time to feed the animals, but that didn’t take away from how magical the experience was for her. When we were leaving, she said, “I love this place and want to stay here again!” That says it all.

Thank you so much for our stay, Paula! We absolutely adored the beautiful bungalow. Waking up to the horses and unwinding by the fire in the evenings was such a treat. You've truly thought of everything – all the kitchen essentials, milk, tea, and coffee on arrival, plus Netflix on the TV! My dog was the most relaxed he's ever been on holiday and really enjoyed the fire too. Oh, and the bedding smelled amazing! We can't wait to come back. X

Amazing stay, the accomodation and surroundings are super wholesome, they have thought of everything to make your stay easy and peaceful. There was a pint of milk and all the makings for hot drinks. Cooking equipment and the shower is super enjoyable. The hot tub was lush, we accidentally turned it down so it took a while to heat back up the following day so be aware (our fault). And there was 4 of us that stayed, the pull out bed is not overly comfortable but the main bed is lovely! I would 100% return. Thank you so much for a great stay and let us check out later at no extra cost. We had a blast :)

The Potting Shed suited us well. It’s location is up a country lane, not too far from the main road. There are many places of interest within driving distance, though watch out for some of the lanes. The house is comfortable and warm. There are enough facilities for a short stay. Tamzin is very responsive and answers all questions immediately.

We had such a wonderful week at Laurel Cottage, Paul was a great host, and made the four of us and our two dogs feel very welcome. It was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Laurel cottage is located in a very peaceful location but close to lots of things to do. Paul was super helpful when we asked for suggestions on local activities - thank you for a great week - we will definitely be back!

We needed somewhere to stay for a few months as our house was going through the conveyancing process. The Annex at Maple Cottage was a fantastic temporary home. Dorothy and Ian were excellent hosts; always available but never intrusive. The Annex was well furnished and supplied. Always warm,, superb TV and great internet. We couldn’t have asked for more.

The Granary is honestly the perfect place for a getaway. We spent two nights there and wish we could have spent longer! The cabin itself is stunning and the scenery/landscape is something else. We enjoyed evenings by the fire and in the hot tub. Georgia & Jim were very responsive and friendly. They gave us some walking/running routes, which were stunning. We also went to the driving range for an hour or so, which is just down the road. We will be back - thank you :)

Absolutely stunning location. The hut was perfect, clean and tidy with everything you could need. The surroundings were lovely, the area quiet and only a short distance to Swanage Jefferson and Kevin were helpful and responsive.

A perfect location for our short break in Somerset with 2 dogs. The villa is quirky, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Lots of space for families with a beautiful garden, sun room and great kitchen. Lovely walks nearby and we walked to the local restaurant the first evening for a takeaway. Took a total of 8 mins there and back! A great base for visiting the Mendips, Cheddar, Wells, Glastonbury and Blagdon. A stones throw from Wookey Hole also, although we didn’t visit this time. I would really recommend this beautiful place. If you want to either kick back and relax, or walk and walk and walk - then this is the place for you. Thank you so much. We’d love to return if you’ll have us!

Had a short weekend at the flat on this loverly farm. If you want some where to chill and have some peace then this is the place to be. Add the style of the flat inside and out and how helpfull Lucy and her crew are, you the have this perfect place. The correspondence and information on the arrival and departure is first class. There is a nice little pub no more than a five minute drive called The Antelope Inn, very friendly. Thanks again Lucy for a wonderful stay.

This is our second visit and again excellent communication from the host Tracy. Beautiful home and surroundings perfect for our family of ten adults to get together to celebrate my 60th birthday. We again really appreciated some personal touches, a cake (very nice) baked by Tracy and fresh flowers in all the rooms. Highly recommend Hollycroft.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful home! We were celebrating our mums 60th birthday and she was blown away by this stunning house in a quiet scenic setting. The large open kitchen made meal times enjoyable and fun. The pool table was a hit along with the hot tub! We had a fantastic stay and Matthew was very helpful from start to finish.

We had an excellent stay at Pippas place! The property was spacious, clean and had all the amenities you need! It's in an excellent rural location just a short walk to chew valley lake. Pippa was a wonderful host. Would stay again.

Beautiful location, everything was as described. Peaceful setting, very cosy for us given the weather wasn’t amazing at times. The Barn was a fun little extra with the table tennis and pool table. Would recommend. Agree with previous comments about hot water pressure but other than that it was a very very enjoyable break for New Year.

Gorgeous building, in a great location to visit Dartmoor and the nearby towns. Good communication from the friendly hosts, who are nearby for any issues. We had a lovely time!

Lovely place to stay with a private garden for morning coffee and stargazing (no light pollution!). Really handy to have two bathrooms (one on the ground floor and one upstairs). Kitchen is well equipped and the bathrooms had lovely toiletries. Beds were comfy and there was great lighting (some Airbnbs have minimal or garishly cold lighting) in each room to be able to dim or have bright light. Location was perfect for us as we wanted to visit both the seaside and Dartmoor National Park.
